(Clearwisdom.net) Ever since he arrived in Dachang Hui Autonomous County to hold the position of Politics and Law Committee Secretary, Zhang Wanzhong has followed Jiang to persecute Dafa practitioners in Dachang County. Under his instigation, persons from the county "610 Office" and the political and security team from the county police department often harass Dafa practitioners during holidays and the dates they regard as "sensitive." They stake out practitioners, follow and watch them, monitor practitioners' telephone conversations or just break into practitioners' homes. They often search practitioners' homes, abduct practitioners, send them to forced labor and fine them.
In April 2003, Zhang Wanzhong brought together people from the "610 Office" and from the political and security team of the county police department, and also leaders from practitioners' work units. These people deceived and forcibly took Dafa practitioners Niu Lianjiang, Xu Shuqing, Li Wenming, Liang Yufen and Liu Xiuxiang to the Beijing Tongzhou Daying Brainwashing Center for further persecution. This caused Liu Xiuxiang's husband's illness to worsen and his death several days later.
In August 2003, they abducted practitioner Liu Li and detained him in the county detention center for about a month and then sent him to the Langfang Brainwashing Class for further persecution. In March 2004, as Dafa practitioner Wang Baozhu went to the politics and law committee several times to clarify the truth, Zhang Wanzhong dispatched people to follow the practitioner and searched both his home and work unit. During the search, they threw his family's clothes all over the ground. They eventually found four pieces of truth-clarifying literature at his work unit. Just for this, they sentenced Wang Baozhu to two years of forced labor and left his unemployed wife and two children behind.
During the past two years, Zhang Wanzhong, as the Secretary of the Politics and Law Committee, is responsible for the crimes that this department in Dachang County has committed against Dafa practitioners. On a weekend night in mid-May 2004, when Zhang Wanzhong was on the way home near Langfang City's Development Zone, his car struck a van that was parked on the roadside, even though the van's lights were on. Zhang's head and other parts of his body sustained severe injuries. His left kneecap was fractured. When people tried to pull him out of the car, the flesh on one of his ankles was detached from the bone. He is still in Langfang City's Development Zone Hospital for treatment.
Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution.
