Falun Dafa practitioners at Changchun City No. 3 Detention Center, located at Sheling in the Shuangyang District, are on a group hunger strike to protest their detainment and persecution by the Jiang regime. They demand the immediate release of all Falun Dafa practitioners held in custody.

Ms. Chen Jundiao is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Chao'an County, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province. In May 2003, she was arrested at her home without cause. The police presented no legal paper and gave no reason. Local police have denied her any visitation from her family and have refused to reveal where she is held.

Around 9:40 p.m. on May 26, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners Li Hongkui and Dong Chengguo, both workers at the Fangzheng Forestry Bureau, were on the street when Zhang Haicheng and other officers from the state security section arrested them without cause. Without provocation, the officers began beating the two practitioners on the street before detaining them on trumped up charges.

Around 10:00 p.m. that same night, Zhang Haicheng led officers to another Falun Dafa practitioner's home, that of Chen Haifeng, on the false concern that there were too many bicycles in the courtyard. They broke into Chen's home, ransacked it and then arrested him. Chen, 65, was brutally beaten in the courtyard.

Mr. Wang Zhanqing is a Falun Dafa practitioner who teaches at the Niantou Middle School in Sanhe City, Hebei Province. On May 26, 2004, while he was teaching a class, Li Ping, deputy head of the education bureau in charge of the persecution of Falun Gong, led members of the Sanhe City "610 Office" and police officers to the school. [The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.] They tricked Mr. Wang into coming out of the classroom, and then around a dozen officers rushed toward him. He was immediately gagged in order to prevent him from shouting "Falun Dafa Is Good," then was dragged into a vehicle and driven to a brainwashing program held at the Leyuan Guest House in Langfang City, Hebei Province.

On April 21, 2004, Ms. Zhang Shuzhen went to her relative's home in Changchun City, Jilin Province after being forced to stay away from her own home to avoid persecution. She was arrested on April 22. The police also confiscated a personal computer and a large number of other valuable items. Officers who had followed her around the clock also arrested two other Falun Dafa practitioners with whom she had remained in touch. Without any legal procedure, the three practitioners were each sentenced to two years of forced labor. They have been taken from Daguang to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp.

On April 24, officers from the Shenzhen Street Police Station in the Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone arrested Changchun City Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Junxia. The police broke into Ms. Wang's home twice, looting it of cash and many other valuables. On May 10, 2004, Ms. Wang was taken to a brainwashing facility at Zero Kilometer in Changchun City, where over a dozen practitioners are also being held for persecution.

Ms. Zhang Yulian and her daughter Zhao Li are Falun Dafa practitioners in Xiao County, Anhui Province. They were arrested for writing Falun Gong truth-clarifying letters and have been held at the Longshanzi Detention Center. The officer who arrested them is Wang Zhongren, deputy head of the Political Security Section of the Xiao County Police Department. Wang's telephone number is 86-557-5022768.

Ms. Zhao Xincui and Ms. Chen Taiying are Falun Dafa practitioners in Laixi City, Shandong Province. On January 5, 2004, they and another practitioner went to neighboring Fenghuangtun Village to distribute Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials, where local police arrested them. Fifteens days later in the Spring Festival holiday season, Zhao Xincui and Chen Taiying were each sentenced to two years of forced labor. The other practitioner was sentenced to one year of forced labor (to be served in a prison).

On the morning of May 27, 2004, officers from Hongqi Police Station arrested Panjin City Falun Dafa practitioner Sun Xiuyan while the practitioner was distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. Sun is currently being held at the Hongqi Police Station in Panjin City.

In April 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Sun Ruiqin and Mr. Hu Juben from Gaomi County, Shandong Province went to Miaojia Village to distribute Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. Zhang Enping, Party Secretary of Miaojia Village in Zhouyang Tonwship, alerted the police. The two practitioners were arrested and are being held at the Gaomi City Detention Center.

Ms. Sun Liping is a Falun Dafa practitioner at Songjianghe Town in Fusong County, Heilongjiang Province. On October 1, 2003, police arrested Ms. Sun while she was distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. She has endured the most inhumane treatment at Shenyang Women's Forced Labor Camp, where her abuse continues. She can no longer walk on her own.

Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Shengkui was unlawfully arrested in March 2004 while distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials in the Tianhe District of G City. Liu's whereabouts remain unknown. While at work at the Huangpu District Bureau, Falun Dafa practitioner Zhou Dafeng, was also arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials. It is not known where Zhou is being held.

Ms. Wang Lixiang is Falun Dafa practitioner who works at the Huludao City Petrochemical Plant. After the State Security Bureau searched her home on April 29, 2004, she had been forced to stay away from her home. Ms. Wang had been thinking about returning home all along, however, and on the morning of May 29, she was arrested there. She is now being held at the Huludao City Detention Center.
