Practitioner Zhang Wenhua was kidnapped on April 29th because he distributed materials which explained the facts about Falun Gong. Zhang went on a hunger strike to protest his illegal arrest and was force-fed on May 4. The authorities damaged Zhang's cheeks, his upper lip and throat during their force-feeding and he began vomiting blood. Zhang's left cheek is still badly swollen from the incident. On May 7, the police forcefully injected Zhang with a glucose anti-inflammatory drug. On May 13, Zhang was sent to the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp for three years.

Mr. Li Qiaosen, 68 years old, is from Yonghe Town, Zengceng County, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. He was seized by police and taken to the Yonghe Police Station and imprisoned for eight days in 2000, because he would not renounce his belief of Falun Gong. In February 2001, Li was imprisoned in Zengceng County Police Station Drug Rehab Division and was subjected to forced labor for extended hours then required to attend a brainwashing program for 120 days. He also had 6,000 yuan extorted from him (1). After his release, the Yonghe Police Station often threatened him and made harassing phone calls to his home. Li's family was living under an oppressive atmosphere because of the police. On March 19, 2004, Li was taken to the Dongwan City 2^nd Detention Center because he mailed truth clarification materials to the public. His family was not allowed any visiting privileges. The weather was extremely cold in March and Li was not allowed to wear shoes or winter clothes. After a few days of being exposed to the cold like this, Li suffered a severe fever.

Ms. Zheng Xianfen, 60 years old, a Dafa practitioner who is from Sha City in Hubei Province. She went to Tiananmen 6 times to hang banners and tell the truth about Falun Gong and each time she was arrested, tortured, and beaten. In April 2004, she was arrested again for distributing truth clarification materials and has been held in a prison ever since. Zheng's daughter, Ms. Quan Haiyan, went to Tiananmen twice to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. She was twice imprisoned in the Sha city 1^st Detention Center where she was tortured. Quan had been kidnapped from her home by the authorities and taken to brainwashing centers on three separate occasions. Later she was sent to the Shayang Ranch Forced Labor Camp. There, Quan was surrounded and followed by prisoners, brutally beaten, deprived of sleep, had to work for extended hours and was subjected to all kinds of torture. Quan was arrested in 2004, for distributing materials, which explained the facts of the persecution and has been imprisoned ever since. Zheng Xianfen's son, Quan Hai'ou, traveled to Tiananmen to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong in 2000, and was brutally beaten by the police. He was taken back to Sha City 1^st Detention Center and imprisoned for a few months. His family spent 3,500 yuan to have him released. Not long after that, he and his mother were seized together by police and taken to a brainwashing program. The three family members have continuously been arrested, imprisoned, brainwashed and fined repeatedly over the past few years.

On March 16, 2004, practitioner Jin Jilin from Gansu Province was transferred from the Lanzhou Prison to the Dingxi Prison. From March 26, Jin was tortured. The police shocked him with many electric batons simultaneously and for an extended period of time, which severely burned Jin's body and endangered his life. To prevent the outside from learning about this, Jin is still kept locked in a small cell and the police have barred his family from visiting.

Practitioner Ms. Chen Jingbo used to be an accountant in the Ranghu Road Storage Service Company that belongs to Daqing City Supplies and Equipment Company in Heilongjiang Province. She was illegally sentenced to 2 years of labor reform in April 2004 and was sent to the Heilongjiang Province Drug Rehabilitation Labor Camp. She was then sent to the hospital as she failed her physical examination. Her work place would not allow her to resume her position and tried to force her to write a "Guarantee Statement" (2) a few times, which she refused to do. On May 8, 2004, she was allowed to work, but was kidnapped by the authorities and taken to the Hongweixing Brainwashing Center the following day. She did not stop explaining the facts of the persecution to the authorities during her entire detention. She also did not eat or drink anything during that time and was tortured by being electrically shocked on two occasions. Later she was sent to the Ranghu Road Dulitun Detention Center for 15 days and the police threatened to keep her in prison.

Mr. Sun Chunying, a practitioner from Liuhe County, Jilin Province, was tortured in the Jilin Zhaoyang Labor Camp. When his family went to pick him up on Aug 18, 2003, he was extremely underweight, his face was full of scars and he was pale looking. His eyesight was severely damaged; he could barely walk and could not move independently. On the afternoon of May 9, 2004, the county police went to his home to harass him and tried to force him to sign a Guarantee Statement. Sun refused and was arrested that night and imprisoned in the Liuhe County Detention Center where he is now being persecuted.

Ms. Xu Meiying, 65, lived in the courtyard of the Huanggang City Electronic Company. Her body and mind benefited greatly after she started practicing Falun Gong and many of her stubborn diseases were cured in a short time. After July 20, 1999, she was forced to give up her practice and her old diseases all came back to her one after another. On December 30, 2003, she suffered abdominal bleeding and was sent to the hospital. The next day her situation worsened and she went into a coma. When she was unconscious, she saw a lot of ghosts and demons trying to attack her. All of a sudden, she saw Teacher, wearing a yellow robe with his right shoulder exposed and his hair blue and curly, coming down from the sky. Immediately all the ghosts and demons disappeared. Teacher appeared taller and bigger than everything. Then she woke up, she felt comfortable everywhere. All her diseases were gone. She said, "I am sorry, Teacher. I could not tell right from wrong and did not endure so I could clarify the truth in front of the evil deceptions. Though I have given up practicing for four years, Teacher has not given up on me. I must use my personal experience to tell people the facts and steadfastly practice Dafa till the end!"

My name is Kong Qian, and I am 26. My parents were both officers working in Weibei Prison. My mother, Li Xiyun, used to have 13 different diseases including a heart condition, anemia, reduced white blood cells count, and abnormal bone growth in her neck and spine. After she started practicing Falun Gong in 1996, all of her diseases were cured and my family was living a happy life. After the suppression started, the Weibei Prison officials constantly asked my mother and I to stop practicing Falun Gong. They fired my father and forced him to stay at home to watch us. She and I went to Beijing to appeal twice. The political division of the prison ordered the confiscation of our property 4 times. The last time the director of the police station, Fan Yongsheng, brought a group of people and forced entry into my home by breaking a window. My father could not stand it anymore and divorced my mother. A happy, blessed family was torn apart by the evil. My mother and I were monitored, restrained, kidnapped by the authorities and forced into brainwashing programs, and were forced to leave our home. I had planned to marry a practitioner named Mr. Li Jiangang in May 2004, but something unfortunate happened. About 1:30 in the morning of April 25, 2004, the national security surrounded our temporary residence. My mother and I escaped by climbing over a wall. The Weifang national security special agents kidnapped Li around 11 pm that evening. Before Li practiced Falun Gong, he was a tough-guy and nobody dared to trouble him. Li would get into fights, drank and smoked excessively, gambled and hung out with gangs. Li started practicing Falun Gong when he was 26 and became a righteous, compassionate and helpful person. Li was imprisoned in the Kuiwen District Detention Center for 33 days. I heard that he went on a hunger strike for seven days to protest his mistreatment and was later force-fed. Now his situation is unknown. Both our families are very worried about him.
