(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of May 27, 2004, Thursday, the first court debate regarding the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin was held in the U.S. Federal Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago. To support the lawsuit, Falun Gong practitioners in Toronto gathered in front of Chinese Consulate to send forth righteous thoughts, conduct a peaceful demonstration and exhibit torture methods to expose the Jiang group's crimes and protest the extension of the persecution overseas. The torture methods exhibition reflected only a portion of the persecution and shocked viewers.

The activity concluded at about 4 pm. Many passers by and drivers of passing cars accepted truth-clarification literature. A lady living nearby said after watching the exhibition that she understood more and more why Falun Gong practitioners persisted in peaceful demonstrations in front of the consulate. She encouraged the practitioners to continue and said she supported Mr. Chipkar's lawsuit against the deputy Chinese consule.
The practitioners exhibiting the torture methods said, "Although we suffer a little, we know it is going to be over in a short time. But Falun Gong practitioners in China have been suffering brutal persecution for 5 years."
More and more people know about the persecution and the cruelty of Jiang's group and support Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful protest.
Along with the exposure of Jiang's brutal persecution, as more and more people of justice condemn the persecution, the movement to bring Jiang to justice becomes stronger.
Lawsuits against Jiang are also occurring in many other countries and regions, including Belgium, Germany, Korea, Spain, Taiwan and France. Falun Gong practitioners in Canada started a lawsuit against Jiang's group in March 2004, and have exposed the Jiang group's crimes through torture exhibitions, symbolic trial and signature collection postcards. Canada's Department of Justice will soon reply about the next step in the legal procedures regarding the lawsuit against Jiang.
