Falun Dafa practitioners are under severe persecution at the Changchun City No. 3 Detention Center. Needles have been inserted into the fingertips of practitioners who are on hunger strikes. In addition, a corrosive medicine has been applied the renzhong acupuncture point, which is located between one's mouth and nose.

Individuals directly responsible for the persecution is a doctor in her 50's with the last name of Ren and another female by the name of Guo Jing. Li Chunjie, who works at the Bureau of Public Health, is also involved. Li Chunjie's husband Gao Yi is the head of the No. 1 Branch of the No. 3 Detention Center. In the evening hours of January 28, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners Cheng Peiju and his eldest son Cheng Fengxiang were unlawfully arrested in Yongnian County. Mr. Cheng's two other sons were also arrested although they are not practitioners. It was reported that members of the provincial and municipal "610 Offices" came to Yongnian County to carry out the arrests. [The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.] Practitioners in the Xingtai and Shahe areas have also been placed under arrest.

Ms. Gao Aihua lived on Hanjia Street in Qiaokou District, Wuhan City. She remained missing for 42 days after going out on September 8, 2003. When others eventually located her, she was being unlawfully held in the No. 1 Detention Center, which is affiliated with the Wuhan City Police Department. Officers from the Hanjia Street Police Department had arrested her and, as she refused to give up her belief, she was unlawfully sentenced to forced labor for one and a half years. Ms. Gao is currently being held in the 6^th Brigade at the Hewan Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. Policewomen Yang Hui and Hu once locked Gao up in isolation for inhumane torture. They handcuffed and suspended her off the ground for five days and nights. Her hands are still disabled. The labor camp authorities have also made up all sorts of excuses to prevent Ms. Gao's family from knowing the truth by not granting them any visiting privileges.

Ms. Dong Aijun lived in a village near a military base in Fangcun Town, Daiyue District, Tai'an City. In mid-September 2003, she was distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials in the village. Deputy Head of the town's police station Li Yong, along with other police officers, unlawfully placed her under arrest. She was first held at the Xintai City Detention Center. Later, the Daiyue District Branch Police Department transferred her to the No. 1 Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province to serve two years of forced labor.

Mr. Zhou Qinggui lived in a village under the jurisdiction of the Taiqian Office of Tai'shan District in Tai'an City. In mid-September 2003, he went to the military base in Shankou Town, Daiyue District, to distribute Falun Gong materials. Officers from the local police station unlawfully arrested him and sent him to the Tai'an City Detention Center. Later the Tai'shan District Branch Police Department transferred him to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp to serve two years of forced labor.

Ms. Yang Chengmei was on the medical staff of Tai'an No. 2 Middle School. In October 2000, she was unlawfully sent to the No. 1 Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province for two years of forced labor by the Taishan District Branch Police Department. She was released in the second half of 2001. Around 11:00 a.m. on November 26, 2003, school security officers and police from the Taishan District Branch Police Department arrested her in the dormitory of the No. 2 Middle School. She was again sent to the No. 1 Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province for three years of forced labor. She has been held in isolation, subjected to force-feeding, deprived of sleep, and has undergone brutal beatings.

Ms. Zhang Wei was an employee of the Jinan General Steel Factory. In the past, factory police had sent her to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for three years of forced labor. In the early morning hours on January 27, 2004, she went to the downtown area to visit friends. Around 10:00 a.m., police officers that had been keeping her under surveillance abducted her into a police vehicle. Her current whereabouts remain unknown.

Ms. Li Zhihua, Ms. Wu Xiurong, and Ms. Qi Mengge are Falun Dafa practitioners in Zhangwu County, Liaoning Province. On the night of January 24, 2004, they went to Xiliu Township in Zhangwu County to distribute Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. People who do not know the facts about the persecution called the police. Cui Haifeng of the Political Security Section in the Zhangwu County Police Department and others arrived in police vehicles to arrest the three practitioners and interrogate them overnight. At 2:30 a.m. the same night, the three practitioners were sent to the Zhangwu County Detention Center.

In addition, Ms. Kong Feiyi was sent to the Zhangwu County Detention Center on December 8, 2003, for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Ms. Kong was transferred to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on December 31, 2003.

Tang Yanbin is the head of the Political Security Section of the Forestry Bureau in Suiling County. Around 10:00 a.m. on January 4, 2004, Tang and Officer Liu broke into a Falun Dafa practitioner's home without any search warrant or identification document. They cursed the practitioner while ransacking the room. In the end the officers found nothing. They then threatened to take the practitioner to the police station if he did not pay 1,000 Yuan. [The average monthly income of an urban worker in China is about 500 Yuan.] The practitioner told them that it was impossible to come up with that much money, given the overall economic situation. The officers knew this was true, so they asked for 500 Yuan instead, and then 300. The practitioner refused to give in to the extortion. Dan Yanbin was angered and threatened him, saying that unless he paid the 300 Yuan, they would come back the next day and take him away.

Wang Youzhang is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Fucheng County, Hebei Province. Xiao Heli, head the Xiakou Town Police Station, along with Officer Hou Dongjun unlawfully took Wang to the county's detention center. Wang was sentenced to two years of forced labor without the benefit of any legal proceedings. Wang's family has never been notified. Wang is being currently held in the No. 1 Regiment located in the Carpet Factory in Tongkou Town in Anxin County, which is a division of the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp. Wen Haiyan is the Party secretary of the Printing and Dyeing Factory of the Pufang Textile Group Company in Chibi City, Hubei Province. Since July 20, 1999, Wen has actively engaged in the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in the factory. As a result, numerous practitioners have been sent to detention centers and forced labor camps. Even worse, he ordered Falun Gong practitioner and factory worker Xu Yong to be held in custody, then sent to a forced labor camp, and finally to a mental hospital. Xu has since become mentally impaired, due to torture.

When formerly serving as the director of Jingquan Town, Ye helped the Qingquan Town Party Secretary Hu Zhifang to brutally suppress Falun Dafa practitioners. Ms. Ping Yurong is from Lutai Town, Ninghe County, Tianjin. In 1995, Ms. Ping started practicing Falun Dafa. She has kept improving her moral character ever since and has gained praise from local residents. After Jiang launched the persecution of Falun Gong, Ms. Ping was thrown into the forced labor camp. She has remained there for over three years, ever since 2001. Since she refused to give up her belief or write any "statements of guarantee" [renouncing Falun Gong], labor camp authorities have unlawfully extended her forced labor term.

Mr. Xue Liuyan was an undergraduate student at the Economics and Management Institute of Lanzhou University. On December 12, 1999, Mr. Xue was unlawfully detained for fifteen days for peacefully appealing for Falun Gong. Then he was suspended from school and given a so-called "application for suspension of one year for medical reasons." On December 25, 2000, he and others went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong again. On January 1, 2001, he and others were inadvertently separated as they walked in Tiananmen Square. Afterwards his whereabouts were unknown.

Recently it has been learned that Falun Dafa practitioner Xue Liuyan is being held in Cell No. 8 of Brigade No. 8 of the Xiguoyuan Detention Center in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province.

On January 29, 2004, Ms. Mei Hailin and Dengbiao from Wuhan City were unlawfully arrested while clarifying the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. Currently Ms. Mei is being held in the No. 1 Women's Detention Center of Wuhan City. Deng is being held in the Hongshan District Detention Center.

Liu Shaohua, Party Secretary of the General Liawu Steel Factory Hospital, is in charge of the persecution of Falun Gong at the factory. Liu, over 50 years old, is responsible for the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners Zhang Aiyun, Wang Yuzhen, and Yang Jie. Yan Jie, in her 60's, is currently being unlawfully held at the Provincial No. 1 Women's Forced Labor Camp despite her weak physical condition. These three practitioners had twice been abducted to the brainwashing class, which was sponsored by the General Steel Factory in Xinxing Mansion, to be mentally and physically abused. The first round was held on the 27^th of the last Chinese lunar month in 2001 and lasted for over 40 days. Seven or eight Falun Dafa practitioners were abducted to that class. The second round was held during the Chinese Communist Party's Sixteenth Congress in 2002. Ms. Bai Shihua, a Shandong Falun Dafa practitioner who died from the persecution, became mentally impaired during this session of brainwashing.

On November 26, 2003, Ms. Gao Fengyun was unlawfully arrested. On January 9, 2004, Ms. Kong Qingzhi was arrested at work, and her home was ransacked. Ms. Kong is being held in the No. 2 Detention Center of Harbin City. According to sources in the police department, on January 10, 2004, over twenty practitioners related to this Falun Gong material production site were taken into police custody. A formal warrant was issued for the arrest of Ms. Gao Fengyun. She has been sent to the No. 1 Detention Center of Harbin City.
