(Clerawisdom.net) Recently, the Chinese dictator and former President of China Jiang Zemin, along with many of his accomplices, have been sued in many countries. Facing growing condemnation from the international community for its violations of human rights, the People's Supreme Court in China publicized a program called, "Investigating and Dealing with Criminal Cases in Which State Personnel Use Their Authority to Violate Human Rights" (ICCHR) beginning on May 11, 2004.
Nearly six months have passed. So how effective is this ICCHR, the Supreme Court's one-year-plan program-- Based on our observations, it dealt with some unimportant and irrelevant cases and then propagandized these actions, advertising to the outside world how the Supreme Court is "protecting human rights." However, the ICCHR has ignored the truly serious cases such as the genocide and brutal persecution by Jiang's regime of over 100 million Falun Gong practitioners.
More cases in which practitioners have been tortured to death are being verified daily. This news, along with other details of the persecution, has been making its way overseas through the tight restrictions on news leaving China. Among the few cases publicized by the ICCHR, no facts about the persecution of practitioners can be found. On the other hand, some media have already started to sing the praises of the Supreme Court and the ICCHR. The media reports make people wonder if the reporters have intentionally ignored the widespread and brutal persecution.
During the persecution of those who practice Falun Gong by Jiang's clique over the past few years, the authorities involved have completely ignored the law: they abduct and detain practitioners and ransack their homes at will, all without following any legal procedures. Hundreds of thousands of practitioners have been illegally detained. Around midnight on September 18, 2004, the "610 Office" of Benxi City in Liaoning Province mobilized 100 police vehicles and over 500 police guards to abduct nearly 50 practitioners from their homes. Later they tortured one of the abducted practitioners to death. When two practitioners jumped from a building in their attempt to escape, they were taken directly to the detention center where their injuries were not treated. The other practitioners were illegally detained or sent to brainwashing centers. Doesn't this case fall into the category of "illegal search and illegal detention" according to the Supreme Court--
Under Jiang's policies of "Killing Falun Gong practitioners is no crime, and their death will be counted as suicide," and "Cremate them immediately after they are beaten to death without notifying family members," 1099 practitioners are now verified to have died under Jiang's persecution. Over 100 brutal methods of torture are used, ranging from confinement cells to water dungeons, from electric shock to "tying the ropes," from the "Tiger Bench" to nailing bamboo spikes into practitioners' fingers. Several thousand practitioners were forced into mental hospitals and treated with drugs that harm the central nervous system. During her illegal detention in the Longshan Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, Ms. Gao was shocked with electric batons continuously for seven hours on the afternoon of May 7, 2004. Her face was disfigured as a result. After the Supreme Court advertised its program of ICCHR, superior officials in the Shenyang City Judiciary Bureau of Longshan Forced Labor Camp ordered, "Don't allow her to go home even if she dies." At that time, August 9, 2004, Gao had began to pass blood in her urine and was not able to take in food or water. After over three months of painful suffering, she has been tortured until she is so emaciated that only skin and bones, which are covered with wounds, are left. Her eyes are so sunken into their sockets that her eyelids cannot close. Doesn't this case fall into the category of "Torturing to extort confession, getting the evidence through means of violence" and "abusing the detainee--"
Jiang's faction has wasted one fourth of the nation's money in order to persecute Falun Gong. Countless practitioners and their family members have had huge amounts of money extorted from them, and countless families have also being torn apart. Isn't this "derelictions that cause heavy losses to people's lives and properties--"
By starting and carrying out the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, which has involved worldwide violations of human rights, Jiang has become the most notorious instigator of the most serious infringements of human rights. His followers, whose hands are stained with the blood of practitioners, are still getting off scot-free as "government officials and employees." These realities make people doubt the sincerity of the Supreme Court and its program of ICCHR. It appears to be yet another trick of Jiang's group to deceive people both inside and outside the country.
Anyone with a basic knowledge of the law in China knows that the persecution of Falun Gong is illegal and has been from its inception. Out of jealousy and selfish desires, Jiang used his power to trample on the constitution. Using lies and insinuation to instigate the terrorist persecution, he has covered up his crimes of violating human rights at any cost.
Currently, countless lawsuits from practitioners and their family members are being ignored. Some officials in the judiciary department even said openly, "We don't accept cases related to Falun Gong." Driven by power and advantage from Jiang's group, China's judiciary system long ago lost its basic commitment to justice. As a collaborator with the Jiang faction in the persecution of Falun Gong, it has become a club used to strike innocent people. The "People's Court" has become "Jiang's court." In the current judiciary system, justice and fairness are merely a joke. How effective can the advertised ICCHR truly be--
The Jiang faction has passed laws to legalize the killing of innocent people. The perpetrators have issued themselves licenses to kill, which they are still employing to this very day. History will restore fairness and status to the laws, the judiciary system and human rights. To the Chinese people in power and to the righteous people in the legal and judiciary system: please don't wait until history has turned the page and all you can do is regret and repent. You should immediately start to prosecute Jiang and his followers, because now is the opportune time to show the world your sense of justice and your concern for the protection of human rights and rule of law.
