Facts of the Persecution
1. Practitioner Nian Shuying and her family forced to leave home to avoid persecution; Nian Shuying appeals for justice
The police harassed Falun Gong practitioner Nian Shuying and her family in Shucai Village, Longquan Town, Nongan County, Jilin Province. They also ransacked Nian Shuying's home, arrested her and extorted money from her family. Her family was forced to leave home in March 2002 and has not yet been able to return. Nian Shuying appealed to the Jilin Province People's Congress Standing Committee and the Jilin Province People's Prosecutor and asked for the return of her confiscated belongings and financial compensation for her family, as well as prosecution of the lawless officials responsible for the persecution.
2. Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yu Yingzhu sent to forced labor again
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yu Yingzhu was an employee at Zhuzhou City's Ferro-alloy Factory. In December 2000 she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was abducted. In March 2001 she was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor and sent to the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City. Because she refused to give up Falun Gong, her term was extended by one year.
During three years at the labor camp, Yu Yingzhu was brutally tortured. She was handcuffed, detained in solitary confinement and beaten. She was not allowed to sleep when she was handcuffed. Twice she lost consciousness from torture. The perpetrators also injected her with nerve-damaging drugs. Once she was handcuffed for seven days and the next time she was handcuffed for three days. She passed out both times. Ms. Yu was supposed to be released on December 27, 2003 but she was held until January 14, 2004. Personnel from the local "610 Office" and from the police department monitored and harassed her.
In June 2004, Falun Gong practitioner(s) in Hetang District, Zhuzhou City were abducted when distributing truth clarification flyers, and the police suspected Yu Yingzhu was involved. On June 10, five police officers from Hetang District's "610 Office" and the National Security Bureau broke into Yu Yingzhu's home and abducted her. They sent her to the No. 1 Detention Center in Zhuzhou City. On July 7, personnel from the Hetang District "610 Office" again sent her to Baimalong Forced Labor Camp to be detained for three years.
3. The persecution of practitioners at the Songjiang Town Police Department in Bin County, Heilongjiang Province
Li Xinfang, head of the Songjiang Town Police Department in Bin County, Heilongjiang Province devoted much time and energy to persecuting Falun Gong. In the past five years, practitioner Tan Guanghui was sentenced to one year of forced labor for going to Beijing to appeal. She was sent to the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City where she was savagely tortured and subsequently suffered a mental collapse. Practitioner Song Xiangjie was fired because he went to Beijing many times to appeal. In 2000 he was sent to Wanjia Forced Labor Camp and detained there for one year. One night in the winter of 2002, the police from Songjiang Town went his home in search of him but he escaped with the power of his righteous thoughts. He has since not been able to return home. Mr. Song was later abducted and sent to the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp Hospital, where he has been detained to this day. He is being tortured and force-fed daily and is at the brink of death.
On October 6, 2003, practitioners Wang Xiaoli, Song Yaqin and Wang Liqun from Bin County went to Songjiang Town to distribute truth clarification materials. Police department head Li Xinfang and his subordinates abducted these practitioners. Zhao Yuntien, the head of the Political and Security Division led more than 20 people to send Wang Xiaoli and Song Yaqin to the county prison. Wang Liqun escaped from the police department. On January 3, 2003, Wang Liqun called Sun Yanbin, head of the Bin County People's Congress to clarify the truth and was abducted by officers from the Bin County Police Department. The three practitioners were sentenced to two or three years in prison and are now being held in the Bin County Prison.
4. Practitioner Zhou Wei appealed for her mother and was threatened by "610 Office" personnel
Zhou Wei lives in the Panlong District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. Her mother Mei Bilin is a teacher at Yunnan Province's Forestry Technical School. On the morning of September 21, 2004, perpetrators from the Panlong District National Security Bureau abducted Mei Bilin and sent her to the Dabanqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp where she was held for three years. She cannot eat and is receiving intravenous infusions. Zhou Wei's father was illegally sentenced to five years in prison for his belief in Falun Gong. Zhou Wei appealed for her mother Mei Bilin. This resulted in her being threatened by four perpetrators: Wei, the secretary of the Panlong District Political and Judicial Committee, Xie Shaohong from the Panlong District "610 Office" and two police officers. They compelled her to withdraw her appeal and "break away from" her parents, or she would "receive the same treatment" as her mother.
5. Practitioner Hu Chaofeng recounts persecution experiences
After July 20, 1999, several Falun Gong practitioners, myself included, went to Beijing to validate Falun Dafa. We were abducted and sent to the Nanpi Detention Center. I was released after paying a 3,000-yuan "fine." From then on, the police officers from Liubali Town in Nanpi County often came to my home to harass me. In August 2000, village head Fu Renpo and a few police officers ransacked my home. They abducted me and held me for 45 days. I was abducted three more times: in February, August and October 2001. Later in October 2002, I was abducted yet again and held for 85 days. I was fined 1,800 yuan.
6. Please pay attention to the persecution of practitioner Zhu Ailian and her family
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhu Ailian is 47 years old. She lives in Caozhuang Village, Xingzhengcun, Yang Town, Zhuji Township, Huaiyang County, Zhoukou City, Henan Province. She is currently being held at the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhenzhou City, Henan Province. In the past month, Zhu Ailian held a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention and persecution. The guards force-fed her. Right now, Zhu Ailian is emaciated; she has difficulty walking and is at the brink of a mental collapse. Her family went to the labor camp and asked for her release, but the perpetrators gave numerous excuses and refused to release her. In the past five years, Zhu Ailian and her husband were severely persecuted. Zhu Ailian was abducted six times and fined over 10,000 yuan. The police often went to her home to harass her, and her husband was abducted twice. She was also sent to the No. 3 Forced Labor Camp. Her two children are left at home with no one to take care of them.
