(Clearwisdom.net) On October 9, 2004, Swiss Falun Gong practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition at the tourist resort of Luzern to help people know about Jiang Zemin's massive crime of torture, genocide and crimes against humanity committed during his persecution against Falun Gong. Several brutal methods of torture used to force practitioners to give up their beliefs were shown and posters were displayed. Practitioners talked to people and answered any questions they had about Falun Gong and the human rights abuses in China.
As European countries start to become more open to Chinese tourists, they have seen an increase in the number of Chinese people visiting Switzerland. That day there were three Chinese tour buses that parked near the anti-torture exhibition. Crowds of Chinese people flocked to the exhibition as soon as they got off the coach. Most of them were shocked and expressed their sympathy for Falun Gong practitioners when they heard about the persecution. Some of them were nodding their heads and took a leaflet. Many listened and watched carefully. Tour guides are pressured by Chinese officials not to let their tour groups find out the truth about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution against the practice in China. This tour guide said, "Do not watch! Do not watch! Just leave quickly!" However, the louder he shouted, the more the Chinese tourists came to watch.
A practitioner explained the facts about the persecution to one of the Chinese tourists, who replied proudly, "In China, there was someone who clarified the truth to me face to face, just like you." The practitioner asked, "So do you know why Jiang Zemin persecutes Falun Gong?" He replied, "Well, he only chose to persecute the nice ones because he thinks they are easy to control."
After watching the exhibition, an overseas Chinese student asked for more material and Video-CDs for his schoolmates. He told a practitioner, "I did not understand Falun Gong before, but I knew some of my neighbors used to get up at 5am to do the practice. One day the police came and arrested them. We do not know where they were taken to."
The anti-torture exhibition needed someone to act as the Chinese police persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Sometimes western practitioners had to play the role of the police if we were shorthanded. When they held up the baton to simulate hitting the practitioners or used pretend cigarettes as if to burn the practitioners' faces, the audiences would shout out, "No!" Some of them shed tears of sympathy. Some older people went up to a practitioner acting as a Chinese policeman and said, "You are the worst, worst person!" The practitioner who played a policeman said, "This displays people's support and sympathy for Falun Gong from a different angle."
The Jiang regime's torture methods that were displayed are only the tip of the iceberg; Amnesty International has listed over 100 different methods of torture. It is easy to understand why people say Jiang Zemin and the police officers who brutally persecute Falun Gong practitioners are inhuman.
We met a middle-aged Yugoslavian man at the anti-torture exhibition. After looking at all the exhibits and pictures, he was very upset. After talking with him, we found out that he is a refugee in Switzerland. Four members of his family were killed by Milosevic. He pointed at Jiang Zemin's photo and said, "This man maimed his own people just like Milosevic did. Milosevic is now on trial in The Hague's International Court. Jiang is going to end up the same." The practitioners told him that Jiang has been sued in many countries for his criminal campaign of genocide, and he agreed with that action enthusiastically.
