My name is Wang He, and I am an older woman who lives in Gushan Town, Jin-an District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. I am appealing on behalf of my daughter, Zheng Chenying, who has been illegally detained, sentenced to prison and mistreated. After July 20, 1999, my daughter went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Dafa, and was detained for fifteen days. She went to Beijing on November 9, 1999 again, and was detained for more than seven months, far beyond the fifteen day limit. She was sentenced to three years in prison in July 2000, and then released on November 11, 2002. On April 30, 2003, she was arrested for passing out truth clarifying VCDs, and was detained at the Fuzhou City No.2 Detention Center, where she was hung in the air from handcuffs and beaten for several days. She was severely injured and was sent to the Jianxin Labor Camp Hospital several times. She was sentenced for five years at the Fujian Provincial Women Labor Camp, and locked in the "Strictly Monitored Ward." From October 2003 until May 2004, she endured many tortures, resulting in many injuries and illnesses. She was even sent to the Jianxin Labor Camp Hospital for emergency treatment several times. She was transferred to the Fifth Ward after June 2004. As her mother, I strongly request that she be released now since she is innocent of any wrongdoing.

In March 2002, because a Falun Dafa truth clarification video was spliced into a provincial cable TV system, several hundred Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested and held in the Changchun City No.3 Detention Center then sent to labor camps or prisons. Ms. Liu Zhe and others were practicing the exercises, so the police attached 44 lb. shackles to their ankles to prevent them from exercising day or night. When Ms. Liu Xiu-e did the exercises, Zhang Jing, a prisoner who was responsible for monitoring her, kicked her in her belly. After this, they went on a hunger strike. Ms. Zhi Guixiang was doing the exercises and Zhang Jing kicked her down. The guards force-fed those practitioners who were on hunger strikes, then policeman Su would lock them all in a single room, and put handcuffs and ankle shackles on them so that the practitioners could not sit or stand straight, and were in pain constantly. If the practitioner still remained on a hunger strike, they would rather torture them to death than release them. Ms. Zhi Guixiang probably was tortured to death in this way.
