When I heard news about me being assigned to lead a tourist group to Beijing, all sorts of feeling welled up in my heart. On one hand, Beijing was one of the locations where the remaining evils were entrenched. I needed to keep righteous thoughts and be cautious all the time. On the other hand, I knew that it was a rare chance because there was less of a possibility for overseas practitioners to easily step on the soil of Mainland China, and I should take advantage of this chance.

I have never been to Mainland China. This was my first visit there and I was very nervous. I hadn't lived in that environment of suppression and lies. I didn't know how to go about it as a Falun Dafa practitioner. Therefore, I missed many chances to clarify the truth and distribute Falun Dafa materials.

My work is to lead a tourist group. I realized I probably couldn't distribute truth clarification materials to people in China as easily and freely as I can in Taiwan and abroad. I had only voiced in my heart, "Falun Dafa is good" over and over, and hoped that my mind-intent can touch the awaken side of those around me.

On September 1, 2004, Teacher said in "Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People":

"Once the current time period is over, the first large-scale process of weeding out sentient beings will begin. For a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple, personal liberation is not the goal of cultivation: when you came, saving sentient beings was your great aspiration, and that is the responsibility and mission history has bestowed upon you in Fa-rectification. Thus great numbers of beings are to be saved by you. Dafa disciples, don't forsake the magnificent responsibility that has been bestowed upon you in Fa-rectification, and even less should you disappoint those beings, as you are now their only hope for entering the future. For this reason, all Dafa disciples, students both new and veteran, should get to work and begin comprehensively clarifying the truth."

I knew if I missed this special historic period, all regrets would become void. At that time I had one thought, if I had one more chance to go to China, I will do better. As result, benevolent Teacher gave me another chance.

Before my departure, some bad thoughts frequently came in my mind to create fear. Right away, I denied these negative thoughts. I deeply understood that going to China again was my aspiration. Wasn't this the arrangement of Teacher for me?

In preparation for my first visit, I had some pictures about Falun Dafa practitioners' parades and anti-torture exhibitions abroad developed. I had typed up some literature to explain the pictures. I put those pictures into a photo album and took them to China. Everyone I showed the pictures to was shocked. They read the truth clarification materials carefully. Since those pictures were very effective, I developed more pictures about the parades and anti-torture exhibitions for my second trip. I also had some pictures analyzing and clarifying the truth about the Tiananmen self-immolation prepared, and some about the activities of bringing Jiang to justice. It was near Mid-Autumn Festival so I had downloaded many greeting cards from Minghui Net especially made for the occassion. I put them into envelopes with truth-clarifying brochures inside, and I also prepared many truth-clarifying VCDs. With all these Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials, I started my second trip to Beijing.

While I was waiting for the flight and onwards, I kept sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate my attachment of fear. I was going to clarify the truth and destroy the evil's den. I was able to pass through the airport customs smoothly. Xiao Wang, our kindhearted local guide, picked us up.

The first scheduled tour was Tiananmen Square where Falun Dafa practitioners went to voice their support for Falun Dafa. It was one of the main battlefields of righteousness against evil in the universe. What can I do among the huge crowd of people? The police cars of Beijing Public Security stood in the periphery. I stepped forward to go with our tourist group. When they stopped in a spot to take group pictures, I took the chance to present a Mid Autumn greeting card to a fellow who was taking pictures for our tourist group. I told him about the information abroad. He accepted it with a nod and smile to thank me. Then, I continued our tour with the crowd.

We came to the famous Purple Palace. One tourist inspector was sitting at a corner in the back garden, he was middle-aged and looked very nice. I smiled at him to start our conversation. He was happy and started to speak with me when he learned I came from Taiwan. When I was ready to leave, I presented the greeting card and VCD to him. He shook my hand and thanked me delightedly.

While eating our first lunch in Beijing, I asked Xiao Wang about two major events that had occurred in recent history on Tiananmen Square, the "June 4" Massacre and the "Self-Immolation." Xiao Wang said that "self-immolation" on Tiananmen Square was true. I asked him, "Are you afraid if I tell you that I am a Falun Gong practitioner from Taiwan? Xiao Wang said that it didn't matter and he was not afraid. I took out two truth-clarifying brochures and gave them to him. He looked around cautiously and took a quick glimpse at the brochures. I told him about the fabrication of the Tiananmen self-immolation, the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China and the anti-torture exhibitions abroad. He put the truth-clarifying brochures into his bag and said to me in a low voice, "Is it the same thing that you distributed in Tiananmen Square? You must be careful. There are many plainclothes police. Don't distribute it again and don't speak to others." I didn't reply to him but was thinking that I should find a chance to clarify the truth to him.

One night we returned to the hotel early, Xiao Wang asked me if I had some books for him to read. He had noticed that I always read the same book. I told him the book was Zhuan Falun (1). He asked me again, "Do you have any novels?" I took out all my materials to show him including "Witness to History" and the investigation by the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong about the Tiananmen self-immolation. Xiao Wang said, "I feel confused. You didn't personally see these events, and I also didn't see them. I don't know whose words are true. Ninety percent of people in Beijing have the same questions. They don't know which is true.

I thought Xiao Wang was a reasonable college graduate. He was unable to accept the truth at the time being because the truth was overwhelming to him. For the past 5 years, the spread of news fabrication from TV to newspaper made the Chinese people unable to believe that the government was shamelessly utilizing all media to deceive them. For some people in China, they became clearminded upon hearing the truth, but were confused again a few days later submerged in the environment corrupted with lies. That is why Teacher had us clarify the truth in detail. I also noticed that perhaps being busy with their livelihoods, many people could no longer stay at home as much or had time to browse the Internet. This was an avenue for oversea practitioners to clarify the truth to those who cannot be reached through telephone calls. Therefore, local practitioners are needed to clarify the truth. There are many sentient beings in China, and their hearts have become very complicated for being in such a complicated environment. Given such tough situations, fellow practitioners in Mainland China are really extraordinary.

One evening, I bought something in the supermarket. When I returned to the tour bus, two drivers were there. Driver A was with our bus and driver B was with another bus. They started to speak with me initially. I gradually directed the topic from the recent increased appeals in Beijing to the "June 4" Massacre. Then, I changed the topic to Falun Gong, and asked if they would like to look at some pictures. They let me show them the pictures but asked me in doubt, "Why did you bring these here? I explained to them, "National news was blockaded and you don't know the news abroad. I bring these materials for you. Driver B said like a simpleton, "I really didn't know about these things. I hastened to say, "I think many are not aware of these things. This is because the Jiang regime is preventing people from knowing the terrible things they have done.

They were very nervous while looking at those pictures, and also frequently looked around for any suspicious person nearby. I said to them, "Today, it is your good fortune to see this. Driver B said, "I will take this back to study." He put away the truth brochures and VCD that I gave him. Driver A said, "Don't distribute this everywhere. Plainclothes police are everywhere. Also, don't speak about these things to other people." This was the second time that I had heard these words. Being called, Driver B wrapped the truth materials with newspaper and put them inside his bag and then went off.

On the third day, I was sitting in a rest area outside of the Great Wall. I was not in a mood to enjoy the scenery. I had been thinking of how to distribute my materials to the flocks of Chinese people passing by me. It seemed unsuitable to distribute the materials to anybody passing by. Finally, I thought that it would be better to present the truth materials while talking with people or buying something. Then, I gave the truth materials to the peddlers while I made a purchase. I gave the truth materials to waiters or waitresses while eating in the restaurant. I gave the truth materials to parents while talking about their lovely children. Nobody would refuse a blessing, and all of them accepted it with thanks.

There is an underground city in Beijing that was dug by 100,000 people to make an underground air-raid shelter. The years have gone by and air-raid shelters no longer serve that purpose. Part of this one is now a a marketplace where tourists visit. When I was waiting for the others from our tourist group at the entrance, two young people were whispering to each other at the door. They started to speak with me first, they were brothers. After a while, I asked them, "Do you know about Falun Gong? The elder brother said at once, "Falun Gong is a ..." I looked into his big pure eyes, and knew that their pure hearts were harmed by the evil's lies. I told them about Falun Dafa spreading to over 60 countries, the Tiananmen self-immolation, and the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. At that time, I didn't consider whether they were plainclothes police. When the tourist guide called me to leave, I quickly gave them brochures and a VCD.

One evening, the driver saw me giving materials to the waiter at the gate. When all our tourist group got off, the driver said to me, "You doing it like this is very dangerous. If somebody reports you, the public security will trace and investigate you, and you may affect the others. There are many police and plainclothes police around here." I thought that I still had many materials to distribute. I said to the driver tactfully, "Sorry, I am used to the freedom in Taiwan. I don't know the environment here; why are there so many plainclothes police? I am unable to imagine it. Persecuting Falun Gong is a big injustice. I hope many people know about it. The driver mumbled for some while. I gave him one more VCD and hope that he takes the truth material to more people and leave a good future for himself.

We had finished our tour to Beijing and were in the air returning to Taiwan. I was thinking of distributing materials to my tourist group from Taiwan while changing planes in Hong Kong. While waiting for the flight in Hong Kong, Mr. C from the group said to me, "Mr. D felt unhappy about your distributing the materials, and thought it would affect them. He is afraid he would be arrested because of you, and is planning to lodge a grievance against you when back in Taiwan. I thought I should further clarify the truth in case other members of the group had misunderstood me. I was sending forth righteous thoughts and told them that Falun Gong had helped many people to become healthy which they were speaking about. In addition, I opened the truth-clarifying materials to show them the hidden side of Beijing. Most of them were listening and looking at it seriously. At this moment, Mr. D came over to ask me to take back these things. I told him that this was legal in Hong Kong. He didn't care. He put away the materials and was prepared to argue and abuse me verbally. I was unable to continue to clarify the truth in that situation. I felt sorry. The people who were not living in Mainland China were also harmed by the lies. They stopped others from learning the truth because they were afraid that their own interests would be damaged. If authorities under Jiang's regime arrest or detain an innocent group of tourists, the international society would know its evil nature. The Taiwanese would be further disgusted by it.

After sharing experience with other practitioners, I found out my omissions. As soon as we had arrived in the Hong Kong airport, I felt relaxed. I thought it was safe enough here, and also hastened to go home. My heart was not pure while sending forth righteous thoughts, thus, causing the loss. Master said,

"So, in order to do Fa-rectification more effectively, while you clarify the facts you have to take sending righteous thoughts very seriously, and in a timely manner purge the evil and your own problems so that you won't be taken advantage of by the evil." ("Righteous Thoughts")

The cultivation paths for everyone are different. The truth-clarification activities are also different in various areas. In this great time, all Falun Dafa practitioners are doing things they should do. I hope everyone makes diligent progress and take steady steps.
