- Mr. Luo Jitao, 51, is a resident of Yufeng Village, Shaping Township,
Yubei District. On the morning of August 12, 2003, a group of police officers
attacked Luo when he was standing next to the Yufeng Village Medical Station.
Luo shouted, "Falun Dafa is good." Since the police were afraid of other
people hearing Luo's righteous words, they stuffed his mouth with stones. The
police then illegally jailed Luo in the Yubei Detention Center. While they
were detaining Luo they ransacked his house and stole a few Falun Dafa books
and other related materials. They also took a seal that bore the writing of "Falun
Dafa is Good". At the detention center, the police tried to force information
from Luo through torture. They beat him until he lost consciousness at least
once. After thirty eight days of torture, Luo became extremely weak. The
police finally released Luo when they realized that he couldn't even walk or
stand up properly. Luo stayed home for a while, but as soon as his body had
made somewhat of a recovery, the police took him again and illegally sentenced
him to one year of forced labor.
- Ms. Cheng Changying, who is over 40 years old, was arrested on August 3,
2000. A team of more than ten police officers from the head section of Yubei
District's Public Security Bureau and the Shuangfeng Police Station arrested
Cheng because she had distributed some Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials
through the mail. The head director of the Yubei District Police Department,
called Cheng Daming, led the team to illegally ransack Ms. Cheng's home; they
then abducted her and sentenced her to eighteen months of forced labor. To
make matters worse Ms. Cheng's husband was forced to divorce her while she was
in the labor camp. On September 22, 2002, police officer Li Maohai led more
than ten people from the Shuangfeng Police Station to illegally ransack Ms.
Cheng's home during the night. Ms. Cheng and her mother (also a Falun Dafa
practitioner) refused to open the door, so the police called in a locksmith.
Almost two hundred people witnessed the incident. They were all angry with
what the police were doing, but they didn't dare to say anything. After the
locksmith opened the door, the police ransacked the house and took away Ms.
Cheng. The police illegally interrogated Ms. Cheng, and tried to force her
sign a fabricated confession, etc. Ms. Cheng refused to cooperate with their
demands. Li Maohai then ordered a few people to cuff Ms. Cheng's hands and
feet together. They then held her down on the floor and beat her while she was
handcuffed. Ms. Cheng was later sentenced to three years' imprisonment.

Since Ms. Du refused to give up her belief in Falun Dafa and kept on
practicing the exercises in the labor camp, she constantly faced horrific
methods of torture. Ms. Du is now being incarcerated at the Maojiashan Forced
Labor Camp.
- Ms. Wang Suhua, who is over 50 years old, is Ms. Du Juan's mother. In

refused to give up practicing Falun Dafa.
- Mr. Cheng, who is over 50 years old, was taken away by plainclothes police
in the Spring of 2002. At that time, Mr. Cheng was riding a new motorcycle

led a dozen or so police from Shuangfeng Police Station to ransack Ms. Huang's
home. She was also sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. Ms.
Huang returned home in October 2001. On the night of September 22, 2002, the
number one Section police officer, Li Maohai, led more than ten people from
the Shuangfeng Police Station to Ms. Huang's home and conducted an illegal
search. Since they couldn't find anything, Ms. Huang was released after being
detained for a day.
- Ms. Ma, who is over 60 years old, was arrested by police on September 22,
2002. On that day, the police ransacked Mr. He Youli's home (see above); in

for a day.
