Facts of the Persecution

Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Lin Yanqing, who was a post-Doctorate student at the Harbin Industrial Institute was tortured and as a result became disabled. He is still detained in the 9^th Team of the Fujian Provincial Drug Rehabilitation Center. He is on hunger strike to protest for his release. The Lushuihe Town Police Station Director Lu Hongyan (male) of Jilin Province closely follows the orders of Jiang Zemin by ordering the arrests of Falun Dafa practitioners. He accuses first, then arrests, and then finally fabricates evidence. He beat and tortured Dafa disciples until they had bruises all over their bodies, including 60-to-70-year-old ladies. Some ruthless officials in Lushuihe Town defame Falun Dafa practitioners by broadcasting propaganda on the radio, TV, and newspapers to incite public hatred of Falun Dafa. They harassed students forcing them to watch movies that defame Falun Dafa. They organized students to sign their names in opposition to "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance." They also encouraged teachers to defame Falun Dafa in their classes.

The evil deeds of the police in Botou City, Hebei Province are as follows:

1. Police officers from Botou City State Security Liu Fang (female), Huang Chunzhu (male), and Zhang Yonggang (male) brutally tortured Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Sun Yuxia by sticking sharpened bamboo sticks under all 10 of her finger nails. They beat her chest to the point where it was too painful for her to eat. They also punched Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Aifang's head, face, and shoulder. This made her chin and shoulder purple with bruises. They stuffed worms into Zhao's clothes, poured cold water into Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Baokun's collar, and splashed water onto a Falun Dafa practitioner's face.
2. An evil person named Meng Qingzhong (male) is the Director of the Botou City Detention Center. He tortured Falun Dafa practitioners by hanging them by their cuffed hands, force-feeding them, even force-feeding them feces or urine, and cuffing practitioners onto a bed with their hands and feet stretched toward the bed's four corners.

Ms. Yang Suping is a teacher employed by the Employee Training Center of Dagang District, Tianjin City. She was sentenced to 18 months of labor camp in 2001 because she steadfastly practiced Falun Dafa, and was locked in the No.1 Team of the Banqiao Women Labor Camp in Tianjin City, where she endured hard labor and mental torture. After being released on April 1, 2003, her employer only paid her 500 Yuan, when all others' salaries were over 1,000 yuan. After several months, the employer forced her to sign a contract, which contained a section which stipulated her dissociation with Falun Gong. She refused to sign such a contract, so she was not allowed to teach. Her employer reported her to the 610 Office and prepared to send her to a labor camp again ["610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other politically and judiciary systems]. Now, she has had to become homeless in order to avoid being wrongfully arrested at home, and has lost her job, leaving her with no means of support.

On January 3, 2004, at least five Falun Dafa practitioners from Shimenzhai Town, Funing County, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province went to nearby villages to pass out truth-clarifying materials, and were reported. Ms. Zhang Kuiling, Ms. Du Guijie and three others were arrested and brought to the Shimenzhai Police Substation. The rest of the practitioners escaped. The other three practitioners escaped later as well, but Ms. Zhang and Ms. Du are now detained in the Funing County Detention Center. While Falun Dafa practitioners were passing out materials in Kazhuang Village and Wangmu Village, some evil person cut the residents' power, and framed Falun Dafa practitioners, saying that they had deceived villagers. On January 4, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms. Gao Rongjuan from Zhuqingyu Village, Shimenzhai Town was abducted by police. Because she resisted the unlawful arrest, the vicious police dared to strip off the clothes from her upper body. Then, they forced her to board a police vehicle, and humiliated her. Now she is also detained in the Funing Detention Center.

On January 3, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Cao Shuxian from Xingcheng Town, Liaoning Province read a Falun Dafa Book on a train. The train police abducted her and brought her to the Zhanqian Police Substation in Suizhong County. Her hometown police from Xingcheng came over to arrest her and taker her back home. They were violently pushing her, and slammed her head against the door frame. She fell instantly, and there was a big gash on the back of her head, which bled profusely. Police sent her to the Suizhong Hospital after two hours. She had more than 20 stitches, which cost her more than 4,000 yuan. Police only paid half, and forced her family to pay the rest.

Police in the Jiamusi Labor Camp torture Falun Dafa practitioners using a "Backward Cuffing" method where one hand is pulled over the top of the shoulder and the other hand is pulled up behind the lower back, and then the two hands are cuffed together. Ms. Huang Bin sometimes suffers from spasms twice a day as a result of the torture. Ms. Zhang Yufang is suffering from high blood pressure, and passes out constantly. It is hard for Ms. Deng Chunxia to breathe because of the torture she received, and she is very weak. Ms. Yu Chunyan has difficulty walking or moving her hands. Police stabbed at Ms. Liu Yuekun with a needle all over her body, which caused her agonizing pain. Police also punched her, kicked her, and left her hands cuffed for a long time. Now Ms. Liu has difficulty walking, she can only get around with the help of others, and is in extreme pain.

In the summer of 2002, under the direction by the "610 Office," the notorious Masanjia Labor Camp in Liaoning Province reported three Falun Dafa practitioners, whose three-year term ended, Ms. Li Dongqing, Ms. Li Liming, and Ms. Song Caihong, to the Dabei Regional Procuratorate. Hence, personnel from this Procuratorate went to Masanjia, and announced a lawsuit. Then they re-arrested the practitioners on the spot, and sentenced them all to five years in prison. They were sent to the Dabei Women's Prison directly.

Ever since the end of 2001, police in the Baita Police Substation in Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province, headed by Yu Hongchang (male), often harassed Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms. Liu Jinhui, so she had to become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being wrongfully arrested at home together with her daughter. In September, 2002, Ms. Liu called her fellow practitioner, Ms. Zhang Yanqiu. However, her phone was tapped by police and she was followed. When she reached Ms. Zhang's home, both of them were arrested.
