The Facts of Persecution Against Dafa Practitioners
[Dongguang County, Hebei Province] Right before the 2001 Chinese New Year, Guo Yunqing, the former Head of the Dongguang County Detention Center, led police officers and criminals to bind Dafa practitioners who had gone on a hunger strike for 5 to 6 days to the "dead person's beds" [The four limbs of the practitioner are stretched out and tied to the four corners of an icy-cold metal bed. The practitioner cannot move at all. Neither is he allowed to get up to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. This treatment would last from several hours up to more than a dozen days. This type of cruel torture causes severe damage to the practitioner both mentally and physically.]. They then forcibly fed them with concentrated salt water. Political Chief Qiu Guozhang and police officer Xun Mingsheng brutally beat Dafa practitioners. They also cursed Falun Dafa and its founder, and forced practitioners to kneel down. Zuo Dexing, the head of the Dongguang County Political and Judiciary Committee, Jiang Wanzhi, and Wang Xijie from the Public Security Bureau directly involved in illegally sentencing 14 Dafa practitioners to forced labor camp or jail. Other police officers involved in the persecution include: Huo Xingchi, Zhang Fuwang, Guo Wei, Hou Shujun, and Hu Shaohua who are from the "610 Office." [A bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches.]
Civil Groups in US Act Against "Article 23 Legislation in Hong Kong"
[World Journal, June 29, 2003] On June 28, multiple Chinese groups and Democratic Campaigning Organizations gathered in San Francisco Chinatown to criticize the Hong Kong Special Zone's plan to pass the Article 23 Legislation by totally ignoring the opinion of the media and masses. They pointed out that the Article 23 not only will hurt the rights of Hong Kong people, but also the international standing, fame, and economic development of Hong Kong.
[World Journal, June 29, 2003] On June 28, the Global Opposing Article 23 Preparatory Committee, the Hong Kong Tribune, Amnesty International, the Visional Arts Association, the Western US Branch of the Chinese Social Democratic Party, the "Chinese Affairs" Magazine, Chinese Human Rights, and Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated in front of the Chinese General Consulate to oppose the implementation of the Hong Kong Article 23. Over 40 people raised up banners with slogans of opposing the Article 23 on. They wore masks with an "x" on them, which means that if the Article 23 is passed, freedom of speech and reporting in Hong Kong will be strictly under control. Dafa Truth and People's Mind
After I practiced Falun Dafa, my son frequently listened to Teacher's audio lectures, and his periodic pharyngitis disappeared. My son and husband both were in car accidents, but they were not harmed. All of us know that Falun Dafa is good, and we have resisted the persecution together. They support me in studying Dafa and to clarify the truth to people. Officers frequently come to my home or make phone calls to harass me. My husband and child used their wisdom to verify that Dafa is good, and protect me from being harassed. In October 2000, many police officers surrounded my home, my husband sternly condemned them, and they left dejected. Before the 16th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, four police cars surrounded my home. I stood on the balcony and exposed the facts of how I have been persecuted in a loud voice. My children dealt with them well. Police officers messed around from morning until evening. My whole family worked together to have their evil scheme smashed.
I am a police officer with 30 years of experience. Now we are forced by Jiang Zemin and the "610 Office" to persecute the tens of millions of best people in China, I really cannot understand it. These many people plus their relatives and friends amounts to over 200 million people! By disturbing these people's peaceful life, how much support have they lost! It's clear who is disturbing the stability of society.

Most of his friends would say it with him a few times. One of them nodded only because he is too young and does not talk. His parents who are not Dafa practitioners oppose his following his grandma to clarify the truth, but he does not care. When his dad and mom quarrel with each other, he would tell his father: "You need to be more tolerant, do not quarrel with mom." Then he would turn to his mother: "You need to be more tolerant also. Do not quarrel with Papa. Please be nice to dad. I should be nice to dad also. We should be a good family. "
