[Beijing] Practitioners in Beijing, Please be on the Alert for Police Surveillance Cars
Since May 28, 2003, hi-tech surveillance police cars have patrolled the streets of Beijing. The computer screen in the car displays in detail the actions of pedestrians and vehicles from over a dozen meters (about 36 feet) away. Each car costs a fortune. The police claim these cars are used to "monitor people who spit everywhere," but their real purpose is clear. Dafa practitioners who distribute truth-clarifying materials in Beijing: please pay attention to your personal safety!
[Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Police Use Excruciating Torture Methods on Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Ailan
On December 25, 2002, Wei Dong from Lanzhou City Police Department led a dozen men and ransacked practitioner Ms. Wang Ailan's home. They confiscated Dafa books, cassette tapes, CDs and loudspeaker accessories. They illegally took Wang Ailan to the police department and interrogated her while subjecting her to excruciating torture. They handcuffed her to a metal chair for three days. The police officers put both of Wang's wrists inside a metal ring for several hours until both hands became numb. Many Dafa practitioners have been tortured this way. In spite of this abuse, police failed to get any information from Wang Ailan, who is now detained at Lanzhou City's No.2 Detention Center.

Around March 2002, police illegally took Ms. Li Kuangfeng to the Lanshan Brainwashing Center for persecution. Li Kuangfeng firmly resisted the persecution with a Dafa practitioner's righteous thoughts and righteous actions. She also helped some fellow practitioners tear up their so-called "Transformation Statement" and became determined again, thus foiling the police's scheme. Li Kuangfeng was transferred to Lanzhou City's No.2 Detention Center for further persecution after being detained for over a year in this brainwashing center.

[Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioners: Please Pay Attention to Security!
Recently, the Dalian City Committee and Government held a meeting to plot further persecution against Dafa practitioners. The main topic of this meeting had to do with anti-Falun Gong propaganda. During the upcoming "Conference of Economic Ministers from 12 Countries in Asia and Europe" held in Dalian City, anti-Falun Gong propaganda are to be reinforced and a series of activities would be carried out to increase the surveillance of Falun Gong practitioners. To eliminate the possibility of a collective appeal, Falun Gong practitioners are to be under "complete control" before July 20th. Orders were to "Reinforce the 'three lines of defense;' Set up measures to stop Falun Gong practitioners from appealing; Each high building should have four patrol teams; Important hotels must be monitored around the clock in order to prevent any activities from Dafa practitioners." The order also demanded that each large and middle sized hotel must strictly check for Falun Gong; many policemen should patrol in each central and main street; each department and each street administrative offices must strictly monitor those Dafa practitioners who have been placed under watch; those Falun Gong practitioners who are released from forced labor camps are required report to the authorities twice a day.
We hope that all Dafa practitioners will send forth righteous thoughts together, to completely eliminate the old forces and everything they make use of.
