Cases of persecution toward Falun Gong practitioners in Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province: On May 14, 2003, Mou Jianchang and Gong Xiubin were illegally arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials to the public and were sent to the Wanyaoshu Detention Center for illegal detention. They are still being detained there to date. Hu Xiulian was illegally arrested in March 2003. Several days later her husband Luo Yangsheng (a Falun Gong practitioner) was also illegally arrested. At present nobody knows their whereabouts. Tan Haiyan was illegally arrested on August 25, 2000, and was detained at the Wanyaoshu Detention Center for 45 days. Later she was sent to the Nanmusi Women Labor Camp in Zizhong City, Sichuan Province, where she received various brutal and inhuman tortures.

The Nanmusi Women Labor Camp carries out high-pressure persecution and physical torture toward Falun Gong practitioners who refuse to renounce their belief. The tortures include: making practitioners stand in front of a wall for extended periods, shocking practitioners with electric batons, beating them with wooden batons, not allowing them to sleep for a long time, forcing them to stand as long as 2-3 months, making them stay under the hot sun, and dragging them on the ground covered with gravel so that their skin and flesh are torn...

One night in May a fellow practitioner and I went to a neighborhood to give out truth clarification materials. We were arrested and were sent to a police station. We did not cooperate with the orders and demands from the authorities. The vicious police put us on the bench to torture us, handcuffed us, and shocked us with electric batons. I recited in my mind the formula of Fa-rectification given by Master, and clarified the truth to the vicious police. Finally the policeman was completely exhausted as if he had some severe illness. I understood that the vicious factors behind him were all eliminated by me. His human side was weak. The police dragged me to the detention center and tried to detain me. I thought: I will definitely not cooperate with the arrangement of the old forces. I will rectify the environment wherever I go! Later the vicious policeman dragged me back to the police station. On the way I took the opportunity to clarify the truth to him. When we got to the police station the police told me that I was released.

I was lucky to obtain Falun Dafa at work on March 28, 1998. My old illnesses all disappeared. I changed from being narrow-minded to becoming open-minded and tolerant. Since July 20, 1999 my home has been illegally searched, and I was detained, kidnapped, and blackmailed many times. In March 2001 I was taken from my home to the police station by the police. They asked me where I got the Falun Gong materials. With my rationality, I did not cooperate with the viciousness, and I walked out of the police station in the presence of 5 or 6 policemen. In mid-June 2001, the police once again took me away. They did not allow me to sleep for 7 days, but I was very energetic. Later at my work everyone knew the magic of Dafa. Now when I am in the office I can use my spare time to study the Fa righteously. Everybody read the truth clarification materials. I feel more and more that by keeping righteous thoughts all the time we can surely behave righteously. As long as we firmly believe in Dafa and Master we can defeat all evil. If we do not cooperate with the evil no matter when and where, then the evil will lose its environment.

Immediate Retributions:

Wu Fugang, the political instructor of Nongnongping Police Station in Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province, is very active in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. In October 2002 he slandered Dafa in front of Falun Gong practitioners. One month later, while driving his car, he ran into a cement pole and died instantly.

In the afternoon of June 8 many scholars and professionals from organizations in the Greater New York area who are interested in the future of China gathered in Flushing, NY and held a "Seminar on the Future of China after SARS." Most participants maintained that the SARS epidemic exposed once again the lying nature of the Chinese Communist. The future of China lies in the awakening of the Chinese people and pressure from the international community. Professor Zhou Shiyu from Rochester University exposed China's persecution of belief. He hoped that all righteous people will support the law suit against Jiang. To support the defending of human rights is to defend one's own rights.

In less than a month the government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will decide whether to pass the Articles of National Security (Draft). The non-government organizations that are against the implementation of the article have turned to the international communities for help, given the fact that the Hong Kong government completely disregards public opinion opposing Article 23. The Human Right Frontier recently meets with the consulates of 10 countries of Europe and America in Hong Kong. The consular of each county showed concern that the article would introduce the legal system of China into Hong Kong. Currently the consular of one of the countries in Hong Kong has expressed that they would discuss what actions to adopt soon.

Central Agency, Taipei, June 13: The Mainland China Flood Prevention Headquarters stated that currently in Mainland China the farmland facing drought has reached 10 million hectares. Over 8 million people in cities and towns and 3.8 million cattle have had difficulty in obtaining drinking water.
