Former Safety Guard Director Feng Weizhang of the Ningyuan Town government, Bin County, Heilongjiang Province had been unjustly arresting Falun Dafa practitioners very frequently. He was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus in the fall of 2002. Chemotherapy failed, and he died at the beginning of April 2003 due to lung hemorrhaging.

Police Station Director Li Baohe of Hebeitun Town, Wuqing District, Tianjin City, was very cruel towards Falun Dafa practitioners. He electric shocked, twisted practitioners' flesh with metal pinchers, and beat and kicked Falun Dafa practitioners. He received retribution in October 2002 when he broke his leg riding a motorcycle.

I am a female Falun Dafa practitioner in Henan Province. I am 70 years old. I was once riding my bike on my way to go vegetable shopping when I was hit by a taxi. My bike was totally destroyed; the windshield on the taxi was cracked, but I did not get hurt at all. The driver said "I'm sorry" repeatedly and took a bunch of money out. I refused politely, and asked him tell his friends and family, "Falun Gong is good, do not believe the lies on TV." Upon hearing my words, the driver held his fix [a traditional Chinese gesture of respect in which one hand is cupped in the other before the chest], and answered repeatedly, "Ma'am, I will definitely do that. Please rest assured about that!"

Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions

The following is an excerpt from the article "My Experience upon Escaping from a Police Station with Righteous Thoughts."

On the evening of March 5, 2003, a fellow practitioner and I went to a northeastern countryside to pass out truth clarifying materials, and were arrested and brought to the local police station. The police asked many questions, but my fellow practitioner said, "You are not worthy of testing us, we are leaving here tomorrow." Around 2 a.m., the police all fell asleep. We sent forth righteous thoughts, and asked Master to strengthen us. The handcuffs opened miraculously. My fellow practitioner sent forth the righteous thought that no one would wake up, and that the alarm system would not work. I pulled out the alarm unit from a nearby window, and we jumped out. Master arranged it to be very foggy, and we escaped smoothly.

The following is an excerpt from the article "Three Year Old Falun Dafa Disciple Clarifies the Truth."

Zhenzhen, a young Falun Dafa disciple, is 3 years old. Her mother has taken her out to pass out truth clarifying materials since she was only 5 months old. Now it has become a habit, so that when Zhenzhen sees people walk near, she digs out truth clarifying materials, passes them to the hands of those passersby, and says, "Ladies and Gentlemen, I am sending you good luck!" Those adults gladly accept the materials. Zhenzhen can sing "Falun Dafa is good," and "Be Saved." She can also tell if others are singing the songs correctly.

Facts of the Persecution

Falun Dafa practitioner He Xiaoqiu was abducted by the evil police on March 18, 2003. She had been doing Dafa material work, and the material center was destroyed, with several Falun Dafa practitioners being arrested at once. They are all now being detained in the Anshan City No.1 Detention Center. He Xiaoqiu did not want to be arrested by the evil so she jumped out of one of the detention center's high floors. When she hit the ground she passed out, broke her leg, and bled badly. Even now, she still cannot take care of herself and must be looked after, but the police still will not release her. There are nine female Falun Dafa practitioners who are being force-fed because they went on hunger strike to protest. They are in a severe situation. All just people in the world, please extend your helping hands!

The Shibalihe Labor camp in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province is called an embroidery factory to the outside world. Recently, police there escalated the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners with the following means. They deprived practitioners of the right of visitation and mail using the excuse of the SARS epidemic. Since police are not allowed to go home, they formed three-officers-to-one-practitioner forced brainwashing groups. They have also made practitioners do heavy labor every day, re-broadcast radio programs that slander Master and Dafa through loud speakers, and said that whoever refuses to be "reformed" will be locked there for several months or even several years.

News from China

In April 2003, former No.4 Middle School teacher Zheng Jie in Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province was suddenly stopped by police on the road, and accused of being a Falun Dafa practitioner. Police took her cell phone, and drove four police vehicles to her home, which they searched without showing any warrant. Zheng Jie's family member saw one of the police officers carry in a bunch of Falun Dafa materials, in an attempt to frame Zheng Jie. Such a base method was detected by her family member, so the plan did not work. In fact Zheng Jie and her family members have never practiced Falun Dafa.
