Several hundred Falun Gong practitioners gathered at one of the busiest corners in Times Square, New
York City, for a rally that included music, dramatic readings, and appeals from family members of
practitioners persecuted in China.

Gong exercises for the crowds of tourists in busy Times Square.

Practitioners sang songs composed to
expose the crimes of the Chinese leaders and call for an end to the persecution in China. The music
could be heard for several blocks, and crowds stopped to listen, watch, and learn more.

guitar players, a bass player, and a drummer. Even the police were dancing along and tapping their
fingers. |
Several family members of practitioners persecuted in China told their stories and made appeals for
their release.

Practitioners sent forth
righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil.

Several thousand flyers and newspapers were distributed to the crowds in
Times Square, and many also offered their support by signing petitions asking for the release of
American citizen Dr. Charles Li.

At the same time as the rally, another group of
practitioners gathered in New York City's Chinatown to clarify the truth about the persecution in
China, and to demonstrate the Falun Dafa exercises.

In the evening, over 1000 practitioners gathered for
the 2003 New York Experience Sharing Conference.
