This week's radio broadcast looked at the terrible persecution of Truth, Compassion and Tolerance in China. The show included an interview with a UK Falun Dafa practitioner.
In short, Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, can be described as a spiritual practice that takes the universal qualities of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" as its guidance. More specifically, Falun Dafa is a traditional way of improving mental, spiritual and physical wellbeing through slow, gentle, meditative movements, practised by countless people for generations throughout China and Asia.
The UK practitioner who was interviewed on this week's radio show told how practising Falun Dafa has brought harmony to her family. She also talked about the ruthless persecution happening at the moment in China and explained the horror she felt when she found out that her sister had been put into a labour camp without trial for practising Falun Gong. A campaign was launched to rescue her sister, which lasted 14 months and received help and support from many UK Members of Parliament, ending with her release on April 25 2001.
The listeners heard that this is not only a persecution of Falun Dafa and the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, but also a persecution of those who try to be good people. That's why all good people around the world should stand up and try to end the human rights violations in China as soon as possible.
