On May 28, 2003, Clearwisdom.net published a report on how police in Kaiping City persecuted Falun Dafa practitioner Liang Xiaoying and implicated her parents. Since April Liang Xiaoying has been illegally detained at Kaiping Detention Center, which has had a devastating effect on her mother's mental health.

On November 11, 2002, Ms. Cong Guixian, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Songyuan City, was illegally arrested while making a phone call at a public phone booth. During her detention at the local Public Security Bureau, she was subjected to many wretched types of torture for 48 hours. The most vicious was pricking her with pins in the spaces between her fingers. Because Cong Guixian has unshakable faith in Teacher and Dafa, she resolutely resisted all the evil's requirements. Around May 2003, she was sentenced to ten years in prison. Currently she is being detained at the Changchun Female Prison. Practitioners arrested at the same time as Cong Guixian include Junior Wang, Junior Qiu, Senior Jiang, Junior Yu, and Liu Shurong.

The Masanjia Forced Labor Camp is starting a new round of persecution targeting steadfast Falun Dafa practitioners. The persecution will last until the end of next January. Practitioners who do not yield will be sent to the Dabei Prison in Shenyang City.

Practitioner Chen Yueqiu is an advanced teacher from Shenyang Railway Experimental High School. She was illegally detained at the Zhangshi Brainwashing Class in Shenyang City on November 20, 2003.

Wang Yaping, a Falun Dafa practitioner, is an employee from the Ticket Office of Shenyang Railway Station. On November 24, 2003, officers from Shenyang Railway Bureau illegally arrested her and sent her to the brainwashing class held in Fushun City.

Ms. Su Juzhen is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Qiansuo in Suizhong County. In 1999 she went to Beijing to validate Dafa. She was illegally arrested and detained at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, where she became mentally confused due to persecution. By the end of 2001, she was sent home. When her daughter phoned her a few days ago, Su Juzhen was still not able to think clearly.

Guo Jingmei and Zheng Shuzhen are Falun Dafa practitioners from Zhangping City, Fujian Province. On November 25, 2003, they were reported on while distributing truth-clarifying materials in the countryside. Later, police from the Guilin Police Substation of Zhangping City illegally arrested and detained them. They were then transferred from the Guilin Police Substation to the Zhangping Security Detention Center.

He was the vice director at Section One of the local Public Security Bureau. Later, he was assigned to the "610 Office," where he specializes in persecuting Falun Dafa. The Benxi Political and Judiciary Committee ("610 Office") in Liaoning Province brought in a group of former practitioners who had "enlightened" along an evil path to torture Falun Dafa practitioners at the Drug Rehabilitation Institute of Benxi Forced Labor Camp. Four or five of the collaborators would carry a practitioner and put him/her on Teacher's photo. Then they would press the practitioner to the floor, beat him up, cover him with boards, and, in the end, confine him to a solitary room.

Ms. Yan Ting, 24, lives in the dormitory of Tai'an Beer Plant in Shandong Province. She was illegally sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp in 2001 when she was a student in a university in Hubei Province. From September to October, 2003, police from Tai'an City illegally detained her twice. Around 10:00 o'clock on the morning of November 24, 2003, Liu, political instructor of Xujialou Police Substation of Taishan Public Security Branch, and Li Zhigang, director, together with about six policemen, forcibly abducted Yan Ting and detained her at the No. 1 Female Forced Labor Camp of Shandong Province. She was then illegally sentenced to two more years in a forced labor camp.

Mr. Xu Yunhua, 27, is an employee from the Tai'an Thermoelectric Plant of Shandong Province. Early in October 2003, he was illegally arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. Currently, his whereabouts are unknown.

Yang Chengmei, a school doctor from the No. 2 High School in Tai'an City, has been illegally detained many times and detained in a forced labor camp for two years. Around 11:00 o'clock on the morning of November 26, 2003, she was illegally arrested again at the reception office of her dormitory. Currently her whereabouts are unknown.

In Lesson Eight of "Morality Education" in Book One of Grade Six, lies and pictures regarding the self-immolation are included, defaming Dafa practitioners. This is a transitional textbook from the five-year elementary system to the six-year elementary system used by primary schools in Henan Province. There are two supplemental reading materials following the main text. It is very easy for innocent students to believe the textbook and be poisoned.

Henan People's Press published the book. Executive editor: Wang Danfang. The Henan Elementary & Secondary Teaching Materials Evaluation Committee has approved the book. It has been used in Henan Province since the fall semester of 2001.
