On August 19, 2002, two female Falun Dafa practitioners in their 50's from Hubei Province went to Beijing to validate Dafa. Within three days they had safely returned. When they arrived at Tiananmen Square, a shiny Falun was turning in front of them. They sat down, closed their eyes, and sent forth powerful righteous thoughts to eliminate all the evil damaging Dafa in other dimensions. While walking around the square, they loudly declared, "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is righteous!" Their act of justice amazed all the tourists present.

In mid-July 2002, under the control of the "610 Office", the court in Emeishan City illegally sentenced Falun Dafa practitioners Li Hongyuan and wife Li Chuanfang to three and a half years, and three years in jail, respectively. They were separated and sent to the Jianyang Forced Labor Camp and the Deyang Forced Labor Camp.

Both Li Chuanfang and Li Hongyuan are retired employees from the Emei Iron Corporation of Sichuan Province. In late May 2002, they were reported while distributing truth-clarifying materials. The Public Security Bureau, local Police Substation, and the security department of their work unit illegally searched their home and detained them in the Emei Detention Center with the excuse of having found truth-clarifying materials in their home. They went on a hunger strike to protest against the illegal detention and persecution. After nine days, they were released and placed under around-the-clock police surveillance. Around noon on June 19, 2002, police and people from their work unit suddenly broke into their home with the intention to recapture them. Despite their strong resistance, they were thrown to the floor and beaten up. Strong young policemen beat the two septuagenarian seniors until they were writhing in pain on the floor. At last, they tied the old couple with ropes and carried them downstairs to the police car. They detained them in the police station and then illegally sentenced them to forced labor "reeducation."

Liu Fengxia is a female Falun Dafa practitioner who was distributing truth-clarifying materials together with the old couple. She had been released not long before from the Nanmushi Detention Center in Zizhong, Sichuan Province. Nanmushi is a den of evils that tortures Falun Dafa practitioners. Liu Fengxia steadfastly resisted all the tribulations there. This time, the police also detained her in the Emei Detention Center. After an 8-day hunger strike, she was released. Later on, she was again detained in the local government building of Xinping Village. When the materials written by Liu Fengxiang exposing the brutal persecution means employed in Nanmushi were published, the police illegally sentenced her to jail for two and a half years. She is currently detained and tortured in Nanmushi again.

Falun Dafa practitioners outside China put up banners while major sports games are held in different countries. It shocks people around the world. In spite of the technical processing [shots showing banners were edited out by state-run TV] during relaying, audience in China could still see "Falun Dafa" through the reflection on the ground.

Recently, in order to further persecute Falun Dafa practitioners, police in Shenyang City and other cities asked Falun Dafa practitioners for personal information and photos. They also asked practitioners to get their fingerprints taken at local police substations, and to write a statement of their attitude towards Falun Gong (for the purpose of examining handwriting) etc.

On July 19, 2002, Weifang Falun Dafa practitioners Wu Jiqiang, Han Pusen and Xu Guangai were illegally captured while clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa to people around town. Xu Guangai is detained in the No.1 Detention Center in Qingdao City.

Wu Jiqiang is a man in his thirties who works as a driver for the Financial Department in Weifang City. He has been illegally detained several times. Without notifying his family members and work unit, Wu Jiqiang was forcibly sent to the Changle Mental Hospital. Before that, he was very healthy and clear-minded. The hospital forcibly had him injected and medicated without his family members' permission and without performing any medical examinations. After his family members' efforts, he was released over a month later. At the time, Wu Jiqiang had become extremely weak, with glazed eyes. He could hardly eat anything. He spoke very little and had difficulty in doing so. He couldn't sit or stand well... in mid-July 2002, while he was still unable to completely take care of himself; the Financial Department office sent him to the Changle Forced Labor Camp for "reeducation."

Wang Keri, a man is his thirties, lives in Junbukou Town of Weicheng, Weifang City. He is an agronomist. Sometime around April 2002, he was clandestinely illegally sentenced to 8 years in jail. He is currently detained in the Weibei Forced Labor Farm in Weifang City.

Kaifeng Falun Dafa practitioners Li Qiaoyun (female) and Zhang Jie (female) were captured while posting truth-clarifying statements. They were recently illegally sentenced to seven years in jail by the court in Gulou Area. They are both currently preparing to file an appeal.

The thugs mainly responsible for persecution of Falun Dafa in Jianyang City are:

Some elementary and high schools in Liaoning Province distribute a book named Collected Articles on Special Topics for the Education of Pupils to students at the beginning of a semester. This book has had 227,284 copies printed.
