The World Daily dispatch reported on August 11, 2002, that a group of Falun Gong practitioners in Boston held a press conference at the University Park Hotel on the morning of August 9. The press conference was held in order to raise media awareness and denounce the Jiang Zemin's regime's persecution of overseas Falun Gong practitioners, and to support the sixteen Falun Gong practitioners who have been arrested while doing a sit-in in Hong Kong in March 2002. During the press conference, a Falun Gong practitioner told of her experience of being detained at the Iceland Airport.
A letter sent to Hong Kong judges by Falun Gong practitioners in Macao:
Falun Gong follows the principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" and is a integrated cultivation of both human life and nature. It allows practitioners to raise their moral standard and upgrade their mind nature. Falun Gong does not have a political agenda and is widely loved by people around the world. Currently, there are millions of people in over fifty countries who are benefiting greatly from practicing Falun Gong. It has won over 700 proclamations throughout countries all over the world and offers hundreds of benefits with not a single harm being done to any country. However the dictator Jiang Zemin in Mainland China has severely persecuted Falun Gong and forcefully put pressure on the government of Hong Kong and Macao to do the same, thus violating "the one country, two systems" principle. He has made attempts to spread this evil persecution to the entire world. This is evidenced by the events that have taken place in Germany and Iceland.
