Not long ago, after several Dafa truth-clarifying material centers in Laiwu City/Shandong Province were destroyed, policemen guarded each road crossing to illegally search passersby with the intent to find and arrest Dafa practitioners.

Several days ago, one of my friends told me that one night at 11:00 p.m. when he and two other friends were walking and chatting, suddenly a police car came at very fast speed. Then several policemen jumped out of the car and arrested them without saying anything. The policemen suspected they were Falun Gong practitioners distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials. Fortunately, one of them knew one of the policemen and proved that they were not Falun Gong practitioners, so they were released.

In about April 2001 when the Dafa practitioners detained at Li Village's Forced Labor Camp read Teacher's article Suggestion, over 30 Dafa practitioners who had gone astray and temporarily left Dafa due to extreme pressure, regained clear-headedness immediately. They published solemn announcements at the forced labor camp. Guards locked up these Dafa practitioners in a room to further abuse and brutally torture them. These lawless officers denied practitioners sleep for a month. More than 200 Dafa practitioners from the Qingdao area are illegally detained at this forced labor camp now.

Policeman Zhu Youming maliciously slandered Falun Dafa many times in the forced labor camps' newspaper, which were published inside Shandong Province.

At 10:00 p.m. on July 26, 2002, someone suddenly knocked on Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Lianxin's door claiming that they were policemen. Zhao refused to open the door. The lawless policemen kept on knocking, pounding and kicking the door till 2:20 a.m., which disturbed the sleep of all the residents in the building. Finally the policemen pried the burglarproof door open and seven or eight of them broke into the house. There were two or three police cars parked downstairs. The policemen forcibly arrested Dafa practitioners Zhao Lianxin and Zhao Liang and detained them at Huludao City's Detention Center. Zhao Lianxin and Zhao Liang went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. On July 31, because of their extreme emaciation, they were transferred to another detention center. But the detention center refused to accept them. They were then sent to Lianshan District's Hospital. Now their lives are in danger. In spite of this, officials in Lianshan District's Police Precinct and Gangtun Town's Police Precinct still refuse to release them.

Since April this year, policemen from Huludao City/Liaoning Province have escalated the persecution against Dafa practitioners. Many practitioners were forced to live in exile. In order to find practitioners and arrest them, policemen forced practitioners' friends and relatives to take them everywhere. Policemen from the Nanpiao Precinct forced practitioner Ms. Li Guang's husband to take them out of town to her relative's homes in Jinzhou City, Panjin and Beizhen in attempt to arrest Li Guang. Not finding Li Guang, policemen wanted to detain her husband. In another instance, in order to arrest practitioner Zhao Lianxin, policemen found the phone number of Zhao's nephew's home and took away the babysitter from Zhao's nephew's home. People from the "610 Office" [An agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] also forced every work unit to send Falun Gong practitioners to brainwashing. If Falun Gong practitioners escape, their work unit leaders would be involved. In addition, the work unit has to pay a daily fee of 50 Yuan [500 Yuan is average monthly income in urban areas of China] for brainwashing if a practitioner is arrested into a brainwashing class.

In the morning of May 25 2002, in order to arrest practitioners Mr. Yan Hongyuan and his wife Ms. Xu Xiuying who had already lived in exile, policemen from Longcheng District's Precinct arrested Yan Hongyuan's friends Wang Xianlai (male, 40 years old, non-practitioner), his wife Ms. Pan Suxia (40 years old, practitioner), Guan Zhanting (male, 40 years old, non-practitioner), and his wife Che Suxia (female, 40 years old, a practitioner). Additionally, policemen arrested Xu Xiuzhen (female, 50 years old, Xu Xiuying's sister), because Xu Xiuzhen adopted Xu Xiuying's kid. Policemen also arrested Zhang Xingxian (male, 40 years old, Xu Xiuying's second brother-in-law), because the bicycle taken away from Xu Xiuying belongs to Zhang Xingxian. Policemen also arrested Sun Guohua (female, 30 years old, Xu Xiuying's niece). After taking these seven people to the police precinct, officers forced them to tell where Yan Hongyuan and his wife Xu Xiuying were. Afterwards, Guan Zhanting, Che Suxia, Xu Xiuzhen and Zhang Xingxian were detained and transferred to a detention center.

There is a terrible place for persecuting Dafa practitioners. It is at Qiugu village in the Boshan District of Zibo City/Shandong Province. The place is named Shandong Province's No. 4 Forced Labor Camp, also called Division No. 7 of Boshan District's Qiugu Forced Labor Camp. To outsiders, it is also called Boshan District's Tool Factory. It is popular for making tools, raising pigeons and polishing precious stones. Inside the Qiugu Forced Labor Camp, guards beat, brainwash and steal from practitioners. Approximately 130 male practitioners are illegally detained there. Most of them are from different districts of Zibo City, while a few of them are from other places.

On June 17, 2002, some vicious people reported Dafa practitioners Mr. Pu Xianhu from Pujia Village and Ms. Wang Xiurong from Xiezhuang Village to police while the practitioners were clarifying the truth to the public in Cicun Town. The practitioners were arrested afterwards. Mr. Pu Xianhu was sentenced to three years of forced labor and is now in the Qiugou Forced Labor Camp in Boshan District/Zibo City.

Ms. Wang Xiurong was put into Wangcun Village's brainwashing class. She has steadfast righteous thoughts, resists the collaborators' rampant brainwashing and resolutely refuses to cooperate with the evil. She has staged a hunger strike for more than 20 days. Police beat Wang Xiurong inhumanly and brutally force-fed her. As a consequence, the practitioner's nasal cavity and esophagus were injured. Wang Xiurong was transferred to the Zhangdian Detention Center. Her current situation is unknown.

Prior to July 20, 2002, after somebody's report, personnel from Danling County's Police Department illegally searched Dafa practitioner Ms. Shuai Shuzhen and Mr. Zhu Zhijun's homes and confiscated several cultivation experience sharing articles and Dafa truth-clarifying materials. The two practitioners are now held at a detention center. According to news from the inside, they are very determined. It's said they were severely beaten, but details are unknown.

Since August 2001, four Dafa practitioners have been sentenced to forced labor in Danling County, Sichuan Province.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Guizhen, a teacher from Qingxu County went to Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Gong and was sentenced to one year of forced labor. Her term was later extended by three months. She was released by the end of the year 2001. On May 17, 2002, police arrested her once again and shortly afterwards sentenced her to three years of forced labor. Her young child and elderly father were left at home without care. Later on, Qingxu County's Education Bureau ordered teachers throughout the county to watch a Dafa-slandering program made by China's Central TV station and write down their "thoughts," forcing everybody to take a stand on the issue.
