(Clearwidsom.net) On June 20, the Chinese Embassy in Thailand held an exhibit that defamed Falun Dafa.á After that, they pressured Chinese newspapers in Bangkok to publish articles that defamed Dafa.á Practitioners in Bangkok went to each and every newspaper publishing company to clarify the truth.á None of them continued to publish articles that defame Dafa, except the Xingluo Daily News.
Practitioners kept visiting Xingluo Daily News to clarify the truth day and night.á On July 4, Xingluo Daily News published another article where the murderous Masanjia Forced Labor Camp was turned into a heaven and the head of Masanjia turned into a god.á They indicted that the article was "provided by the Chinese Embassy in Thailand," not authored by the Xingluo Daily News.
At noon that day, three practitioners visited Xingluo Daily News again to clarify the truth.á The middle-aged woman at the reception desk guessed that they were Falun Gong practitioners when they entered the hall, and stopped them at the desk because it was the lunch break.á The practitioners decided to wait in the hall until the lunch break was over.á Finally the woman at the reception had to go out.ááIn a very unnatural tone, she said, "If you are planning to tell us things about Falun Gong, go to the Chinese Embassy."á A practitioner said with a righteous spirit, "You should be responsible for the deceitful articles you published.á That is why we need to talk to the publisher."á The woman returned to her seat without saying a word.
The three practitioners sat in the hall sending forth righteous thoughts until, several minutes later, the newspaper's sales manager, Xu Mengyi, came from his office to meet the practitioners.á He sat next to the practitioners and listened to them calmly and patiently clarify the truth.
The following is theádialogue between the sales manager and the practitioners after the practitioners finished clarifying the truth:
"Xu" as Xu Mengyi, the sales manager
"P" as the three Dafa practitioners
Xu: If you don't think the articles reflected the truth, you may as well send your articles to Xingluo Daily News.
P: Most certainly.á I have brought quite a few truth clarification articles.
Xu: (embarrassed when receiving the articles from practitioners.) I will forward them to the editors for review.
P: Newspapers should pursue truth and justice.á You shouldágrantáyour readers other voices.
Xu: What are you afraid of? IfáFalun Gong is truly righteous as you have described, no rumors should affectáyou at all.
P: We are not afraid of defamation.á We are here because you have published articles that were deceitful, poisonous attacks toward Dafa.á Such articles will mislead and poison people.á Since we practitioners cultivate compassion, we naturally want to be responsible to Dafa, as well as the society.á We'd like to urge you to being responsible to the society as well.á We'd like to ask you to take responsibility of your own actions and declare null the published articles that defamed Dafa.
Xu: OK.á We will have a meeting with the editors and see what we can do about the issue.á We also have to look up to the attitude of the government toward Falun Gong.
P: It is perfectly legal to practice Falun Gong in Thailand.á Falun Gong is not limited to China only.á People from all over the world practice Falun Gong.á There are currently over 50 countries that practice Falun Dafa.á I believe people from all over the world are now very concerned that Xingluo Daily News published articles that defame Falun Dafa.
Xu: We have connections with China.á It is the Chinese Embassy that gave us the articles for us to publish.á We published these articles under pressure from them.
[End of dialogue]
Thailand is a country with law and order.á Shouldn't the issue of Chinese government interference in a Thai newspaper call for international attention?
