At noon on May 9, 2002, in the sky above Guangzhou, a ring of light containing all the colors of the rainbow surrounded the sun. As the light ring grew larger, the colors of the ring became lighter, until the ring disappeared. The whole process lasted nearly one hour.

On the morning of May 8, 2002, a solar halo re-appeared in the sky in Shenzhen City. The last time a solar halo appeared was on April 25 this year.

At noon on May 5, 2002, at a famous tourist attraction in the Qianshan area, a huge color belt appeared in the sunny sky, creating a magnificent, colorful radiance. The scene lasted more than an hour. Thousands of tourists witnessed this remarkable scene.

On the morning of May 15, 2002, two mirages appeared in Chongqing City (See: http://clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2002/5/19/22155.html ). A group of people saw the Yuzhong (middle Chongqing) peninsula suspended in the air above the Jiangbei District. They saw mountains, landmark buildings, and even cranes. Another group of people on the south bank of Changjiang River saw a different image, which resembled a traditional Chinese scenic painting of mountains, evergreen trees, and an eight-cornered pagoda.

At noon on May 14, 2002, a colorful ring of light appeared in the sky at the Shilin (rock forest) scenic region in Yunnan Province. The ring surrounded the sun. According to witnesses, it was larger than a soccer field.
