(Clearwisdom.net) Female practitioner Zuo Shuchun was tortured to death in the Baimalong Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province in March 2001. She had worked for the Public Transportation Company in Changsha City.
Practitioners Bai Manzhen and Yang Youyuan were sent to a mental hospital and forcefully injected with drugs. Chen Xintao's body was covered with wounds from severe torture at the hands of police who used electric batons. She fractured her spine when she was forced to jump from a building in order to escape the persecution.
Practitioners are forbidden from reciting the Fa or doing exercises; even sitting casually with legs crossed is not allowed. They are not allowed to talk or communicate in any way, 24 hours every day, and they are not allowed to have pens or paper. If they do not follow the "rules," they will be subjected to punishment and torture, such as being deprived of sleep, denied drinking water and use of the restroom, and being shocked with high voltage electric batons while handcuffed.
The guards confined the determined practitioners together with drug addicts. Numerous practitioners have been crammed together in narrow (less then three meter's square) isolated cells that are gloomy, filthy and full of bugs and mosquitoes. Some of the practitioners being held are Fu Weiwei, Leng Xuefei, Cao Xianghui, Bai Manzhen, Liu Xiaoli, Cao Sanyuan, Long Ying, Cao Jiangzhong and Zhou Wenyu. They have been locked in the narrow cells for more than twenty days. Cao Jiangzhong's rib was broken and she was vomiting blood from the beating she received during her incarceration. She has been hospitalized for more than one month. After 25 days in the cell, Liu Xiaolin's body was swollen and her left arm was inflamed for two months. She was later sent to a detention center where she is currently detained.
From January 28, 2001, the persecution of practitioners has been intensified. The torture includes: Shocking practitioners with high voltage electric batons, hanging them up with handcuffs from the iron bars on the windows at night, and handcuffing them to the iron beds and iron bars in the daytime. Practitioners were hung with both hands cuffed, legs spread apart, and both feet above the floor. One day in March, the guards hung up 38 out of 39 detained practitioners in this way. Such torture took place very often in the labor camp.
The torture crimes committed by officials in the labor camp against the Dafa practitioners are too many to be documented in one day. The labor camp officials not only blocked all possible communiction channels, they also deceived the police in Xinkapu Forced Labor Camp in Changsha City by keeping them unaware of what was happening inside the Baimalong Women's Forced Labor Camp.
When they received the flyers exposing the death of a tortured practitioner in Baimalong Women's Forced Labor Camp, the guards lied brazenly, "She lives pretty well in the labor camp!" I asked the director of the local 610 Office to take me to the labor camp to verify it, but he was afraid.
