(Clearwisdom.net) Li Haiju, 39 years old and the former chief of Chengguan Police Station, lived on Wangbei Street, Dabei district. He sought merit for himself by persecuting and arresting kindhearted Falun Dafa practitioners. Good is rewarded with good and evil is met with retribution -- this is a heavenly principle. Accordingly, Li Haiju received retribution for his evildoings on January 5th (in Chinese lunar calendar) when he drank himself literally to death.
A villager who lived in Chengguannan Street complained about a banner hung in the area by Falun Dafa practitioners early one morning. A few minutes after he arrived home, he suddenly died on the spot.
A villager in Suining Village collected Falun Gong truth-clarification flyers to use as wrapping paper. She fell and injured her lower back a few days later, while she disconnected an old telephone wire. She spent 2000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan] on medical treatment for her injury. Her husband was foolish enough to say, "If I meet Falun Dafa practitioners distributing flyers, I will have them arrested and shot." A few days later, he almost died in an automobile accident on the highway.
One day a villager in Baita tore down Falun Dafa banners. Five drunken men intercepted and beat him up on his way home that same day. He suffered injuries to the head. When he arrived home, his wife explained that it was wrong of him to tear down the Falun Dafa banners. Seeing the error in his ways, he hung the Falun Dafa banners back up where they had been before.
An officer in Liuying Township would tear down Falun Dafa banners from telephone poles whenever he saw them. One day while riding his motorcycle, he suddenly couldn't see anything. He tumbled off his motorcycle and sustained injuries. One of his relatives, a Falun Dafa practitioner, explained the principle that persecuting Falun Gong will lead to retribution. From that day forward, he has never said anything against Falun Gong.
