Three Swedish practitioners went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for Falun Gong and have been detained for over 80 hours. Because Chinese police had denied the practitioners' request to contact the Swedish Embassy, practitioners expressed that they will not answer any questions from Chinese police until granted access to the Swedish Embassy. It is the basic right of international citizens.

This morning, Swedish diplomats in Beijing visited the three detained practitioners and informed the Sweden Falun Dafa Association that the detained practitioners would be expelled next Monday and Tuesday.
Because Chinese police are notorious for their cruelty and disregarding the rights of Falun Gong practitioners, the family members and friends are very worried about their safety. Throughout the past few days, Swedish practitioners have been urgently calling upon the Swedish government, people and media to help detained practitioners regain their freedom.
Before departing to Beijing, the practitioners wrote to friends and families:
"I hope, as a Sweden citizen, to stop the Jiang regime's persecution against Falun Gong through peaceful demonstration on Tiananmen Square, in the meantime to let the world know that what kind of torture Chinese Falun Gong practitioners have been enduring throughout the years."

"The happiness and peace Falun Dafa has given me are enormous and unmatched. Persecution against Falun Gong involves hundreds of millions of people. The persecution is extremely vicious and inhuman. Practitioners are beaten to death, including a mother with an 8 month old baby. What the evil fears most is that their crimes are exposed, because once being exposed it couldn't continue."
----- Ulrik Dahlgren, 32, nurse
"I will go to Beijing to tell Jiang's government: Stop persecuting, torturing and killing Falun Gong practitioners! Return the right to live and the freedom to practice to Falun Gong practitioners who merely follow the principle of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. I will say: Following the universal principle is not wrong."
---- Peter Schiller, 32, media teacher
At present, Sweden's Department of Foreign Affairs is negotiating with its Chinese counterpart for early release of detained practitioners.
