On October 9 and 10, 2002, Xinhua News Agency published a story in the newspaper, with front-page headlines, that told of how a Chinese-Canadian, named "Catherine," had supposedly "exposed" Falun Gong. This so-called "Catherine" is actually a masseuse whose real name is He Bing, who fled back to China to avoid a lawsuit and escape trial by the Canadian court. On November 6, 2001, the Montreal Falun Dafa Assistance Center had already issued a statement declaring that He Bing was known to have had a long history of embezzlement, always using the names of Falun Dafa practitioners, but that she was never a Falun Gong practitioner herself.

Who should be brought to trial? Changchun City Falun Dafa practitioners used the cable TV network to reveal the truth of the Tiananmen Square "self-immolation" incident. Recently, these practitioners were illegally brought to trial by Jiang's dictatorship. Falun Dafa practitioners who participated in this truthful broadcast did so in order to make public the truth of this tragedy, so that people would no longer be deceived by the Jiang regime's slanderous propaganda, and so that the continuation of these crimes would no longer be supported. The more profound significance of such incidents is that they are saving the people, and thus, the acts of the participants are righteous. Those who should really be brought to trial are Jiang and his accomplices. They have violated the constitution and illegally deprived people of their rights to freedom of belief and to appeal to the government. They have committed mayhem, slander, mistreated people in jail, extorted "confessions" by torture, obtained testimonies through violence, fabricated false charges and retaliated against witnesses. They are also guilty of illegal arrest, abusing the power of office, perjury, rape and homicide. The people will someday settle these accounts with them. One thing for certain is that an historic trial inevitably awaits Jiang and his accomplices.

A letter to my friends: China, a place awash in misfortunes is again experiencing the greatest and most cruel injustice in history -- the persecution against Falun Gong. Right now, tens of millions of Falun Gong practitioners in China are clarifying the truth to you. To do so, they save food money to print and distribute materials for you, and they are risking arrest and torture. All they want to do is to tell you the truth and help you awaken from the lies spread by the media at the orders from the government.

A government official wrote to the central government: Falun Gong practitioners are very noble people. Their existence will only stabilize the family, society and nation. Jiang uses such brutal means against such good people. Furthermore, Falun Gong books explicitly state that Falun Gong practitioners must not kill; yet the CCTV shows "murder" and "suicide" news again and again, to deceive the people. I would advise CCTV to stop lying to others as well as to itself, and start telling the truth!

Practitioners Exchange Insights

After reading a practitioner's article entitled "Following Teacher for Thousands of Miles Around China" (see http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2002/10/13/27517.html), I was deeply inspired. How great our Teacher is! I must cultivate to become a selfless person who always thinks of others, and who is willing to sacrifice his life for the truth of the universe. However, when I saw reports about how the old evil forces are monitoring Dafa practitioners, I felt a bit scared. But then I suddenly woke up: "Where are my righteous thoughts?" I started to study Essentials for Further Advancement II and I felt my righteous thoughts were rising gradually. When I read "Following Teacher for Thousands of Miles Around China" one more time, my heart was filled with righteous thoughts. I melted into the grand mercy of Teacher, and I understood the meaning of my existence from the bottom of my heart. I was then able to break though the selfishness that has been bothering me.

The story of cultivators

A newly wed female Dafa practitioner wrote a letter to her in-laws in China. Deceived by the fabricated propaganda, her in-laws thought that Falun Gong practitioners were involved in politics when they clarified the truth to people. They had written many letters to her and her husband, warning them not to get involved in politics and telling them that whatever they do, they wouldn't be able to change the situation. However, after they received her letter, their attitude changed dramatically. Below is part of their response: "We've read your letter numerous times. Your sincerity, frankness and courage deeply moved us. Thank you, child. Lies are lies. Even when lies are repeated a thousand times, they are still lies. We understand you very much. It is not wrong to cultivate. We trust you. Falun Gong practitioners are all people with noble character. Let time and history judge everything."
