A practitioner rectified the Fa among students in a city in Southern China. The effect was amazing.

One day at the beginning of the class, the students all stood up as usual. They suddenly spoke out loud together, "Falun Dafa is Good! Jiang is Bad." The teacher was astounded and debated Jiang's lies with the students. However, the students still replied loudly, "Falun Dafa is Good. Jiang Zemin is Bad." The teacher had no choice but to give up and said, "Let's start the class. I do not want to make further comments on this issue."

Mr. Chen Yongjian and several other Falun Dafa practitioners from Wuzhishan City in Hainan Province were illegally detained in the local detention center. They went on a hunger strike to protest their arrest and demand the release of all practitioners from the labor camp. Several days after the hunger strike began, the policemen still did not give a reply.

In order to awaken these policemen's consciences, the practitioners declared that they would stop drinking water. On the ninth day of no food or water, seven or eight policemen from the "special cases group" in the province put handcuffs and shackles on Chen Yongjian and forcibly took him into an interrogation room. The police officers closed the windows and the curtains in this room. They then began to curse Dafa and ordered Chen Yongjian to eat. They claimed they would torture him if he did not start to eat.

Facing practitioner Chen Yongjian's righteous mind and belief, the police officers were angry and frightened. Several came at him, insulted him, pushed him to the ground and force-fed him with water. Water squirted all over the place out of his mouth and nose. However, the police still did not give up. They force-fed him with 5 bottles of water. As Mr. Chen still did not cooperate with their orders, the policemen relentlessly beat and kicked him. His face became swollen and barely recognizable. His back and chest were also covered with cuts and bruises. He had difficulty opening his mouth for several days. His hands were still swollen more than ten days after the handcuffs were removed.

In June 2000, police officers illegally arrested Ms. Hu Guilian, a female practitioner who is about 60 years old, while she was chatting with a fellow practitioner at her home. She was later transferred to the female Falun Gong Detainee Group in Dalian City's Forced Labor Camp. During the last one-and-a-half years, she has been tortured and forced to perform high-intensity manual labor. The guards used all kinds of cruel methods to try to force practitioners to give up the practice of Falun Dafa. They attempted to destroy practitioners' determination with mental and physical torture.

However, with her righteous thoughts and righteous belief in Teacher and Dafa, Ms. Hu Guilian has been on a hunger strike for over two months to protest the relentless persecution. Ignoring her poor health, guards continued torturing her by force-feeding her through tubes, causing considerable damage to her health in the process. Her life is in extreme danger. The labor camp officials still did not allow her family members to see her and even extorted 1,000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income in urban areas of China] from her family for so-called "medical expenses."

Policemen from Shuangcheng City's Police Department ransacked female practitioner Wei Zhongying's home. Led by Wang Shuqing, director of the Political and Judiciary Department, the police officers took away Dafa materials, a TV, a DVD player, a tape player, a bicycle and a flashlight. They also unlawfully arrested Wei Zhongying. With powerful righteous thoughts, Wei Zhongying walked out of the police station, but she had to leave her home and go from place to place to avoid further persecution. On the afternoon of the same day, practitioners Zhang Guangshuang and Li Jinfeng were arrested when they went to visit Wei Zhongling, Wei Zhongying's sister. Li Jinfeng was sentenced to one month of imprisonment, but she was released 12 days after going on a hunger strike.

In the middle of December 2001, officials forced practitioners detained in Zhengzhou City's Baimiao Forced Labor Camp in Henan Province to watch a video slandering Dafa. In order to safeguard Dafa, Li Jianguo, a male practitioner from Dengfeng County, did not cooperate with the vicious forces and told Director Han Hongtao that he did not want to watch the video. All of the practitioners then left the room. Han Hongtao became very angry. He ordered three or four guards to shock Li Jianguo with electric batons. They then ordered Li Jianguo to write the so-called "pledge" [to give up Falun Dafa]. Li Jianguo refused. The guards then put him into a cold, wet solitary confinement cell. For each meal, they gave him only half of a steamed bun and half a bowl of soup. During the ten days of solitary confinement, Li Jianguo's relatives were not allowed to visit him, even on visiting day.

On December 27, 2000, Mr. Zhang Lejin, his wife and their child went to Beijing to validate the Fa. After officials from his work unit found out, they immediately flew to Beijing to bring them back. After being taken back to Shuangyashan, Zhang and his wife were held at the Mineral Resources Bureau's Detention Center and the Municipal Detention Center, respectively, for over four months. Their 10-year-old daughter was left at home alone. Officials from the detention center forced them to pay 400 Yuan per month and threatened that their family would not be allowed to visit them if they did not pay. Mr. Zhang Lejin's work unit deducted more than 2,000 Yuan from his salary for "transportation expenses." Another two practitioners from the unit were also detained for over four months, simply because they refused to fill out a Dafa-slandering form. After being released, one of these practitioners was fired by the work unit because he refused to attend a brainwashing class.

Ms. Yang Daili is an employee laid off from the Building Materials Company of Shuangyashan City's Materials Bureau. On the December 30, 1999 according to the lunar calendar, she went to Beijing to validate Dafa and was escorted back on January 8, 2000. Chief Wang of the Political & Security Section of Jianshan's Police Department sent her to the Municipal Detention Center and detained her for more than 40 days. The corrupt officials extorted 5,000 Yuan at first and then an additional 400 Yuan from her for "meal expenses" before releasing her. On June 20, 2000, personnel from the Wohongqiao Police Station again detained her and held her for 10 days. On July 25, 2000, officers from the Shuangshan Police Station again unlawfully detained her. Tang Lihua was the officer who illegally arrested her.

Recently, the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] has been relentlessly persecuting practitioners. Many practitioners have been arrested. On the evening of December 28, Dafa practitioner Sun Fengjie was taken away from her store. On December 12, 2001, officer Ling Dawei from the Political and Security Section and some other lawless policemen took by surprise and arrested practitioner Pan Xingfu. Pan has been detained for more than 7 months. In 2001 he was fired by his work unit, the Shuangyashan City's Telecommunication Company. He has a 2-year-old son at home and no source of income. Female practitioner Sun Shujie was arrested from home. Deng Zhenkui has been illegally held for more than 5 months and is still being held.

A while ago, a Dafa practitioner couple from the People's Hospital of Pi County went to Beijing to appeal. Higher authorities fined the county government fined 20,000 Yuan, and in turn the county government fined the hospital 100,000 Yuan and deprived all its employees of their yearly bonus. The hospital employees showed their extreme discontent towards this implication policy and expressed their sympathy for the practitioners. People are awakening. This disgusting attempt to create conflict between the public and Dafa practitioners failed completely.

At the beginning of June 2001, several practitioners including Fan Xirong (female) were brutally beaten by guards in the labor camp for voicing their support for other practitioners. These guards covered the mouths of Men Xiaohua and Wang Lin with adhesive tape, took them to the south building and tortured them there for more than a week. In order to resist the persecution, Men Xiaohua refused to perform manual labor and was beaten unconscious with electric batons by the guards. She was shocked so badly that she lost control of her bladder during the torture.

Some practitioners including Liu Xiufang (female) from No.8 Division tried to take down a propaganda board slandering Dafa. He Qiang, the division supervisor, beat the practitioners so hard that their faces became swollen. They were also fined 200 Yuan each. In addition, their detention terms were extended for three more months. On November 1, Dafa practitioner Liu Yan (female) was humiliated and beaten by guards of the No.7 Division because she helped two practitioners to return to the cultivation path of Fa-rectification.

In November 2001, Ma Lijia (female), Li Xiurong (female) and several other practitioners staged a hunger strike to protest their illegal detention. On the second day of their hunger strike, they were force-fed by the guards. Li Shuhua (female) has conducted hunger strikes several times. The guards handcuffed her to a bed and force-fed her.

On January 2, 2002, female practitioners Wang Ruixia, a worker from the A'cheng Work Section Service Company of Harbin's Railway Bureau, Xia Lihua, an official from A'cheng Train Section of Harbin Railway Bureau and Shao Huafeng went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for Falun Dafa. They were subsequently arrested and detained.

Xu Guoqing, director of the A'cheng Work Section Service Company, demanded 6,000 Yuan from Wang Ruixia's son and threatened that he wouldn't get a job if he did not hand in the money. Li Tinghe, director of the A'cheng Train Section, extorted 6,000 Yuan from Xia Lihua's family members. Zou Xiwu from the Railway Station's Police Station attempted to extort 2,200 Yuan from Shao Huafeng's family members. Wang Ruixia and Shao Huafeng's family members refused to comply with the extortion attempts.
