(Clearwisdom.net) In February of this year I went to Hong Kong to attend a Fa experience-sharing conference. During that time I discovered something during my distribution of flyers to passersby. As long as I had in my heart, the very moment when I gave a flyer to someone, "only people who could be saved," and as long as that single thought of mine was completely altruistic, then that person could not help but take the Dafa flyer! If my thoughts were not righteous however, the result would be just the opposite.

I remember once when my brother passed out a flyer before I could, I got disturbed and said without thinking, "You passed out all that I was going to give out!" Immediately after I said that I regretted it, because I knew my heart was impure. Consequently, the next three people refused to take a flyer! Because of my selfishness, three people ended up losing their precious opportunity!

I felt ashamed of my haggling mentality, jealousy and selfishness. Teacher said in "Further Elimination of Attachments," from Essentials For Further Advancement, "Our students, including our staff, are jealous of each other even in their work for Dafa. Can you become a Buddha this way?" "Dafa belongs to the entire universe and not to any one, insignificant individual. Whoever does the work is spreading Dafa. It is not important whether it should be done by you, or by others. Are you going to bring to a paradise this attachment that you cannot let go of, and contend with Buddhas?"

At the same time I also realized that previously, I always attributed interferences and conflicts in my Dafa work to the evils' interference. Later I understood such a dismissive attitude was not only unholy and frivolous; it's also being used to cover up my attachments. Furthermore, it can be taken advantage of by the evil and cause a loss to Dafa!

Therefore, in addition to using a pure heart to sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil old forces, we should pay more attention to "rectifying" our own thoughts. When bad thoughts emerge, when our mood fluctuates due to attachments, even if there is only a tiny bit that does not conform to "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance," we should resolutely seize them and remove them, no matter how painful it is and how hard it is to do! Only when Dafa practitioners' hearts become really pure, really harmonious and indestructible, can our thoughts and actions be free from the evil force's interference, and we can eradicate all evil in the cosmos with irresistible force!

I remember when I went to a place to collect signatures for the first time, I was afraid. I heard that the young people there were weird and I did not know if there was going to be any trouble. However, afterwards I realized such a thought was wrong. Teacher said in "Dafa is Indestructible," "... because you are a part of Dafa, indestructible; rectify all that is not righteous. Those who are 'reformed' and those who are being saved can only be beings deceived by the evil. Those who are being eliminated are the evil beings and the evil old forces."

Dafa practitioners do not have "fear." We cherish every single being and help them form a kind thought toward Dafa. Thereupon, my heart was filled with compassion and benevolence and I told the truth about the persecution of practitioners in China to everyone I met. After about two hours, my signature book was almost filled up!

Teacher said, "The compassion, the kindness, the purity, the righteousness, and the great forbearance displayed by Dafa disciples during the Fa-rectification period is helping to shape the future society." ("Lecture on the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Conference") Therefore, as long as our hearts are upright and we are full of benevolence, kindness, purity, righteousness and great tolerance, we can rectify all that is unrighteous in the surrounding environment anytime, anywhere, with anyone, using any method! "The Buddha light illuminates everywhere; Propriety and justice rectify and harmonize everything" (from Teacher's poem collection Hong Yin, "In Harmony with the Fa," unofficial translation) When our righteous thoughts show up, any kind of evil environment would be completely cleansed by practitioners' benevolence and pure kindness!

I would like to share some other experiences. While doing truth-clarification work to the media, I had to spend a lot of time and energy. For a while I felt resentful, thinking that I stayed at home all day long, and spending so much time. It seemed like I wasted a lot of my efforts. I did not see the immediate result and thought it would be better if I just walked on the streets and distributed flyers! However, such a mentality was quite wrong.

Clarifying the truth to the media had thorough and considerable influence and Fa promotion effects! But I had only thought about myself and took a "quick result" perspective, which was indeed shortsighted and selfish! Teacher already told us, "When this thing takes place, there have to be some persons who do this and some who do that. Since it's a test aimed at the Fa, no matter where you are or what you're doing, you are improving yourself in the midst of the things you're supposed to do. There are reasons behind what everyone does." ("Master Li Hongzhi's Lecture at the Great Lakes Conference in North America")

Dafa practitioners are a whole and all our strengths are combined together. Therefore, no matter what kind of Dafa work we do, our hearts must be set upon it. We should never delay, not to mention not take it seriously! Dafa work is absolutely not ordinary people's work. How can we choose what to do for ourselves? When we know that we are actually delaying the progress of Dafa as a whole, how can we continue the delay? For that reason, no matter whether it is collecting signatures, distributing flyers, writing interview drafts, drawing pictures or writing articles, we must realize the sacredness, seriousness and urgency of Dafa work, and demonstrate the xinxing [mind and heart nature] and mighty virtue of "Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples." Let's keep righteous thoughts at all times and fill ourselves with kindness and benevolence!

Precisely because we have omissions, the evil is able to take advantage of them. They covered up many hidden attachments and caused interference.

A while ago, schoolwork and Dafa work had me so busy that I hardly any time to breathe. I looked at them from an ordinary person's viewpoint and wanted to give up some of my ordinary people's work. I thought that only then could I have time for Dafa work. Although the excuse appeared quite pompous, my heart "hung in the air" and I felt awful.

I looked inside myself and finally found the cause of my uneasiness. I thought if I didn't do Dafa work, I would be left out of the magnificent group of Dafa practitioners. I did not think, however, that if I didn't do Dafa work, I would let down Teacher and his benevolent waiting and delay Dafa's progress as a whole! The first was my own standpoint and the latter is from Dafa. When a test came, an issue, a thought, an initial viewpoint, how could I have only thought about not being left behind?

I decided to eliminate this selfishness and rectify my heart before I do any kind of Dafa work. When our hearts are really up to the standard, pure and selfless, then we are qualified to do Dafa work. Then we can really manifest the great power of Dafa practitioners' Fa rectification!

Teacher said, "Whether you are able to treasure this period of time is, in fact, a matter of whether you can be responsible to yourselves" ("Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples"). "At this great moment in history, every steady step is a glorious, historic testimony and is incomparably-magnificent mighty virtue." ("The Disciples' Magnificence") Cultivation must be solid. Just because we are "Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples," no matter how tight our schedules are or how little time we have, we have to do well both ordinary people's work and Dafa work! "With their exceptional breadth of mind, Dafa disciples can endure anything." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference") As long as we study the Fa more, use the principles of the Fa to remove attachments and melt ourselves [into the current of the Fa], rectify our hearts and keep righteous thoughts, then we will not be restricted by "pursuit of comfort" and "time." We will be able to use really pure hearts to walk steadfastly with every single step, as tall as heaven and incomparably noble!

Our vows will become our living proof in the future!
