Dear Mr. xx:

On behalf of myself and the people of the 29th District, I would like to extend my congratulations and a warm welcome to the practitioners of the Walk to Washington, in support of persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in China. As a state legislative representative of the district that encompasses this great city, it is my hope that your time spent in Newark will be enjoyable and a memorable one.

I support the advocacy and protection of human rights. As world citizens, we must be courageous to defend the most vulnerable of populations. Your efforts to call for a peaceful resolution against the suppression of Falun Gong, a practice that promotes health and spiritual well-being, and the ill-treatment of its practitioners are commendable.

So, with sincerest appreciation, I wish you a safe and successful march. If my office can be of any assistance to you in the future, please do not hesitate to call.

Sincerely,

William D. Payne

Assemblyman, 29th District
