SOS Walk Team from New York, New Jersey, Boston and Connecticut join up. | Press conference in Princeton |
On the morning of July 8, the SOS Walk Team from New York, New Jersey, Boston and Connecticut started the walk in Franklin, NY and arrived in downtown Princeton at noon. They set up the banners and photo exhibition, and passed out flyers to passersby. At 1:00pm, practitioners held a press conference on the lawn in front of the Princeton University library.
On July 9, in spite of the blazing hot weather, the procession went through city of Lawrence and arrived in Trenton, the capital of New Jersey, led by a police convoy. A press conference was held at 1:00pm. Reporters from the Trenton Times, Associated Press, WFM 105, Trenton National Public Radio, the Trentonian, and Courier Times conducted interviews.
In the afternoon, the procession crossed the bridge on the border of New Jersey and Pennsylvania and headed towards Philadelphia.
