During our celebration of the "Toronto Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance Day" on May 13, 2001, a Falun Gong practitioner read the congratulations from the Canadian Falun Dafa Association: "On May 13 nine years ago, our Teacher Mr. Li Hongzhi introduced Falun Dafa to the public. He told us that 'Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance' is not only a moral standard, but also the most essential characteristic and the principle of this vast and mighty universe. It has different manifestations at different levels. Society at large and the individuals that make it up can get a truly wonderful future by assimilating to 'Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance."

We gathered together in the Toronto Municipal Public Square to celebrate the "Toronto Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance Day." We hope the flower of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" will flourish and bring us a peaceful, sweet, harmonious and prosperous society. In this beautiful springtime, all the Falun Dafa practitioners in Canada sincerely wish a bright future to all people who cherish and support Falun Dafa and "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance."

People with Kindness Sincerely Appreciate Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance

á Over one thousand people came to the Toronto Municipal Public Square and they found immediately that our celebration was very unique. In the square, there were many big banners that read, "Falun Dafa," and "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance." A warm, pleasant and auspicious atmosphere filled the square. We welcomed everyone with sincere smiles. Our heartfelt wish of sharing the happiness brought to us by "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" deeply moved everyone.

It was also Mother's Day. Many parents came out to play with their children. We put some posters on the ground on which children could write and draw their wishes for their mothers. One eight-year-old child wrote, "Blessings to my mom. Please send 'Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance' to my mom."

We also put up many posters to clarify the truth. A lot of people stopped and read carefully the introduction of Falun Dafa and the pictures of large-scale group practices that have taken place during the past nine years. Some people, including some westerners, eagerly learned how to do the Falun Dafa exercises.

Our celebration of "Toronto Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance Day" also attracted many non-governmental organizations and individuals from the community. At noon, a luncheon was held in the Municipal Hall that was very close to the square. More than sixty people from different organizations attended the luncheon. They expressed their admiration for the understanding of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" evident in those people attending this celebration and for their yearning for a more beautiful and happier life. They also expressed their sincere hope that more people all over the world will come to know "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance."

We held a parade at 4 pm. We marched on the wide streets, holding a Falun Dafa emblem and many banners that read, "Falun Dafa Is Good," "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance," and "The Buddha Light Illuminates Everywhere, and Propriety and Justice Rectify and Harmonize Everything." The banners fluttered in the wind and people were all very glad to accept truth-clarifying materials. We passed the most crowded shopping mall in Toronto and attracted the attention of many passersby.

We hope all kind-hearted people will sincerely appreciate "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance."
