(Clearwisdom.net) In his article "Rationality," Master Li asked us to "validate the Fa with reason, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and offer people salvation with benevolence." What then, are "wisdom" and "rationality?" I have gradually come to understand that Master Li was asking each Dafa practitioner, amidst Fa-rectification cultivation, to genuinely cultivate and obtain wisdom and talents that are higher than those of everyday people. Only then will our words and actions carry the depth, flexibility, and the strength to move people. In other words, we are asked to achieve the state where "the light of Truth they emanate makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate" ("Also in a Few Words").
On the surface, "rationality" means that when we deal with things, we do not get carried away by our own emotions, and we have the ability to distinguish right from wrong, put things in proper perspective, and control our own actions. "Wisdom" refers to the ability to analyze a situation and make the correct decision, to quickly understand things, to be innovative and inventive, and to handle things deftly, among other things. Rationality requires one to find the smoothest, safest and most effortless path with a calm and clear mind amidst of all kinds of troubles, restrictions, obstacles and mental anguish.
Master Li said, "Getting arrested is not the purpose. Validating Dafa is truly glorious--it is to validate Dafa that you step forward. Since you step forward, you should try to succeed in validating the Fa--this is the real purpose of stepping forward" ("Rationality"). Genuine Dafa particles should not get arrested. The evil should not be able to catch us. "A demon will never be higher than a Tao" (Zhuan Falun). Since the wisdom of Dafa practitioners is higher than that of everyday people, we have quite a bit of ability to stay in control of any situation. For example, when distributing truth-clarifying flyers, the guiding principle should be how good the end result is. If one home is being watched, then we can just deliver the flyer to another home. When hanging up a banner, if the light of this light pole is very bright, then we can just hang the banner on another light pole with lights that are not as bright. Once the sun comes out, the banner can be seen clearly regardless of which light pole it is hanging on. If the evil sends people to watch us during the hours when people normally rest, then we can just go out and clarify the truth during those hours when people normally are up. If the watchful eyes of the evil become too numerous in the cities and townships, then we can go to remote countryside to clarify the truth.
Whenever the word "wisdom" comes up, some people will respond that they are not very well educated. Being educated simply means that one has a lot of knowledge. But knowledge is not the same thing as wisdom. Everyone has wisdom. Dafa practitioners have elevated themselves in Dafa. We have been given endless wisdom that is higher than that of everyday people. Using loudspeakers to clarify the truth at fixed times is a manifestation of wisdom. Folding papers with "Falun Dafa is good," on them into the shape of boats and birds, and then sending them to kindergartens is also a manifestation of wisdom. We should do our best to discover, utilize and fine-tune the wisdom that we have cultivated from Dafa and apply it to actual Fa-rectification work.
In summary, when we do Fa-rectification work, we should think a little harder, figure out how to do things a little better, and make use of timing, opportunities, environment, and personal habits and schedules of various groups of people. Then we will be able to improve the end result of our work.
Only "wisdom" and "rationality" are discussed here. But even more important is to fully utilize the power of righteous thoughts in the process of Dafa work. Righteous thoughts are a genuine treasure that we have received from the Fa.
The above are just some of my thoughts and enlightenment on this subject, which I wrote down to share with my fellow practitioners. If any statements are not based on the Fa, please benevolently point them out to me.
