Zhao Hong is the sister of Falun Dafa practitioner Zhao Xin who died as result of the brutal persecution. Zhao Xin was paralyzed a direct result of the extensive beatings she received at the hands of the Chinese authorities. Zhao Hong took care of her sister for months. Zhao Xin's steadfast belief in Falun Dafa and her diligent efforts toward Fa-rectification had deeply moved her sister. Zhao Hong started to practice Falun Dafa and joined the flow of Fa-rectification. On November 5, 2001, she went to Beijing to validate Dafa and was illegally arrested. Recently, she was sent back to Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. She is now being illegally detained at the Harbin Police Department.

Female Falun Dafa practitioner Jia Haimei was illegally sent to a labor camp and fined 3000 Yuan [Note: the average monthly salary is 400 Yuan in China). She was released in February 2001, but remained under house arrest. She was constantly harassed by police and unable to live a normal life. She was forced to report some of the policemen to their superiors. But the police retaliated. In May 2001, more than ten officers came into her house and six young police officers stripped her clothing off down to her underpants. Her 5-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter cried and would not let the police take her away, "Mama is a good person. You are bad people!" Not only did they take Jia, they also arrested Jia's mother who was just visiting along with confiscating the TV and VCR in the house. They then went to practitioner Jia Dongwei's house to arrest him and took his TV, VCR, and 4000-Yuan bank deposit.

Jia Haimei was illegally detained at the Huolinhe Detention Center and passed out after a heart attack and was in shock. After she regained consciousness, she was sent to the Zhenlai Prison. She often had chest pains in prison, but the prison refused to release her. Jia's life is in danger. Dafa practitioners Wugui and Jia Dongwei are also illegally locked in Zhenlai Prison. Jia Dongwei's wife is going to have a baby, but no one is taking care of her.

In order to protest illegal detention, five female practitioners in the Ningxia Female Labor Camp have been on a hunger strike for more than twenty days.

Other practitioners from Baitugangzi also went a hunger strike. Several days into the hunger strike, the police forcibly fed them. Now they are forced to perform heavy labor with only very little to eat every day.

These practitioners are being illegally detained for various reasons. Some were identified as Falun Gong practitioners while staying in hotels visiting Beijing; some were found to have the book, Zhuan Falun in their homes; some just insisted on practicing Falun Dafa. The labor camp forbade the practitioners' families to visit them as long as they still practice Falun Dafa. Some practitioners have not seen their families for almost two years.

People are beginning to see the light. Some police secretly encourage the practitioners, "Hang on! There is no barrier that can't be passed." "Didn't the Cultural Revolution last only ten years?" Indeed, the evil cannot go on indefinitely.

Liu Jinying, a female practitioner, was born on October 26, 1964 in Shi'ting Village, in the Town of Shi'ting, Laishui County. She is a college graduate. She was the former vice-chairman of Laishui County Appeal Bureau. Because she practiced Falun Dafa, she was dismissed from the Party and her executive position in July 1999. On August 10^th, Laishui County Police Department illegally detained her. On November 9, 1999, Laishui County People's Procurator Bureau officially prosecuted her. Laishui County People's Court held an illegal hearing on November 30, 1999 and detained Liu at Laishui Detention Center. On December 27, 2000, they handcuffed Liu, hung a big board around her neck that contained slanderous words degrading her and her belief, and paraded her through the town in the back of a truck along the streets. [Note: This form of public humiliation was popular during the cultural revolution and has been brought back now in Jiang Zemin's desperate efforts to discredit Falun Gong.] They brought her to the Laishui Cultural Square and illegally sentenced her to five years. She was detained in the Taihang Prison and then the Second Prison of Shijiazhuang City. She is now in the second female sub-team where nine Falun Dafa practitioners are illegally detained. She protested this illegal detention by going on a hunger strike. She has been on hunger strike for more than forty days, but the prison authorities have been ignoring her. Her life is now in great danger.

A Falun Dafa practitioner dragged his half-paralyzed body eight kilometers to hang 26 Falun Dafa banners, each several meters long . This noble deed of assisting the Teacher in the Fa Rectification has moved heaven and earth. Thus evil is extinguished.

On Saturday night, Dafa practitioners in a city of Northeast China hung 3 to 4 thousand banners. The banners read "Bring Luo Gan To Justice, and Dismiss the "610" Office" and "Falun Dafa Is Good" were draped over trees, electric wire poles, and bus stop signposts. Like many red plum flowers bobbing in the winter wind, the banners tell people that spring is near. The banners remained into the following week and were still visible on Tuesday.

Xiao Peie is a female practitioner from Zhongyuan District, Zhengzhou City. One day in early October 2001, while she was on her way to work, the local police arrested her without a warrant. She was sentenced to one year at Shibalihe Women's Labor Camp.

Shibalihe Women's Labor Camp violated the rules regarding visiting of inmates. The rule states that the inmates may have visitors once every two months. While families of illegally detained, innocent Dafa practitioners are allowed to visit less than once every 4 months.

Peng Lin is a Dafa practitioner who used to work for the Guangzhou City Government. Because she firmly cultivated Dafa, perpetrators from the "610" Office of Guangzhou City illegally detained her in a so-called "Legal System School" this past April. She has been illegally detained for more than 6 months now and her family has been broken apart because of this.

Practitioner Xu Ming is a teacher at a school in Guangzhou City. For appealing in Beijing, Xu has been illegally detained many times. At the moment, Xu is also being detained at the same so-called "Legal System School".

The incident occurred over 10 days ago, but people were still wondering: did Practitioner Li meet some policemen or several bandits?

Practitioner Li was forced to leave her home and stayed with a fellow practitioner. Around 10 pm on October 31, when Li was about to go to bed, there were several knocks on the door. After she opened the door, Li found herself staring into the dark at several figures claiming to be policemen, and they wanted to inspect her identity papers. Li immediately locked the door and told them to come back the following day. However, the group of people would not leave, and they loudly spewed out some dirty words. After a while, they even brought some tools and started to pry the anti-theft lock on the door. They soon had it apart. Li thought that she would never be taken away by the wicked people. She made a rope from torn bedding and started to climb down to the street below. (The apartment was on the fourth floor). Li is an elderly woman, and she could not hold on to the "rope" and fell to the ground breaking her leg. Bearing the great pain, Li clenched her teeth and hid in a bush nearby. The police searched around the building, but they did not see her. Later on, a person found her and reported her to the police.

Seeing that her leg was broken, the police took Li to a hospital. Yet they left her once they reached the hospital. After two days, she wanted to leave. The hospital charged her 2000 Yuan (Chinese dollar, the average monthly income of urban area is about 500 Yuan). Li remembered that she still had about 2000 Yuan at the apartment, so she asked someone to go get it. The money was long gone. Anything of value had disappeared, including a recorder. Li never wanted to think of "police" as "bandits", but what happened to her was just like being robbed by some bandits.

Police discovered practitioner Xiao while he was passing out truth-clarifying literature. The policemen declared with pride, "We finally got you this time." Yet Xiao was not afraid. With righteous thoughts, he said to the police, "Your words do not count, I will come out within half an hour." Xiao then began to send forth-righteous thoughts. About 10 minutes after he was sent to the police station, he walked out in front of several policemen due to the effect of sending forth his righteous thoughts. After he walked out of the police station, some people who knew him gave him their thumbs up, admiring him. They told Xiao to run immediately. However, Xiao replied, "I walked out of there with decency, why would I run now?" The rock-firm Xiao went back into the great main current of Fa-rectification.

A Practitioner in Anshan City was persecuted for her firm belief in Dafa. She was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution. In the beginning, the wicked police in Anshan City often harassed her husband (her husband does not practice Falun Gong) and her daughter, trying to force them (with threats) to find her. Recently, they even went to the apartment of the practitioner's aunt. They monitored the activity of the practitioner's aunt using a video camera without the expressed permission of the practitioner's aunt. In order to prove their "determination" to arrest the practitioner, the perpetrators even showed the monitoring video to the practitioner's husband, trying to force him to "cooperate" by threatening him.

Liu Huali is a male worker at a mining company in Anshan City, Liaoning Province. He was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution. Around April 2001, Wang Qingzhu (who used to be a practitioner, but turned around and helped the evil to persecute Dafa practitioner) deceived Liu, and he was arrested. After his arrest, Liu's whereabouts remained unknown, except that he was brutally tortured and badly hurt by the perpetrators.

Su Lifeng is a female practitioner in Changchun City. On Oct 28, 2001, while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to some people, some police arrested her illegally. Currently, Su is in The No. 3 Detention Center of Changchun (the detention center is located in Shuangyang City).

Yu Cuihua is a female practitioner who used to work at the Jiangling Auto Manufacturing Company in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. In 2000, Yu was illegally sent to a labor camp for cultivating Dafa. In 2001, Yu Cuihua gave up her cultivation temporarily against her will. After she returned home, Yu realized that she had been wrong, and she returned to the current of Fa rectification. On October 30, 2001, her home was illegally searched and some pieces of truth-clarifying literature were found. During the illegal interrogation at the police station in Nanchang City, the perpetrators tied her up and hung her in the air for three days and three nights. Her hands turned black as a result of the hanging torture.
