[Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Collectively Resist the Vicious Brainwashing Class

On October 9, 2001 police officers from Hangzhou City's police department secretly kidnapped over a dozen practitioners to a hotel in Yuhang to have them participate in a brainwashing class. They had planned the class would last for a month. Some practitioners went on a hunger strike to protest this mistreatment overriding the Constitution and depriving citizens of their freedom of belief.

The vicious officials claimed they would hold another one after this brainwashing class was over. They arrogantly said, "We won't forego even a single practitioner in Hangzhou City."

[Gaoyi County, Hebei Province] Wang Ruisheng, Newly Appointed Director of the Gaoyi County Committee, Initiates Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners

In order to earn political credit, Wang Ruisheng, newly appointed director of Gaoyi County's Committee, Hebei Province, claimed at a conference that he would suppress Falun Gong "all the way to the end." He instigated every county government, organizational department, police department and public court department to pursue practitioners on the night of August 29 and illegally kidnapped many of them. They even detained over 70-year-old senior citizens. Some practitioners did not cooperate with the vicious forces and ran into a cornfield. The police chased them. Some practitioners were abducted from their homes or workplaces. Some practitioners had to live in exile. It was said that female practitioners were illegally detained in Zhanhuang County's Custodial Center and male practitioners were detained in Gaoyi County's Custodial Center. All female practitioners detained in the custodial center had been on hunger strike for a long time, and were in critical condition. The officials harmed the families of practitioners who had to live in exile, suspending the employment of family members and threatening that if they could not find the practitioners, the family members themselves would be detained or punished. Under this pressure, several family members were forced to renounce their relationship with the practitioners. After they were detained, practitioners Chen Changying, Chen Li and Zhen Xiaoqin unfurled a Dafa banner in the Xishanping Labor Camp in Chongqing City, which manifested the magnificence of Dafa practitioners and effectively shocked the evil. The vicious forces were furious. The officials added three more months to the detention sentence of Chen Changying, eight months to Chen Li and nine months to Zhen Xiaoqin.

A 15 meter-long banner was hung in the building opposite the former Yubei Custodial Center of Chongqing City. The vicious forces were scared. They continued to interrogate and search practitioners. In the end they acquired no evidence, so they gave up.

In early September 2001, Li Zhi, an employee of Chuandong Petroleum Drilling Company, often went to a shop to buy envelopes for sending truth-clarifying materials. A practitioner in one county distributed Dafa materials in a neighboring county. Since someone reported her to the police, she was sent to Guangping County's "610 Office," with her hands and feet shackled together. This practitioner came through with righteous thoughts. She walked out of the County Committee Compound at 3 a.m. This shocked all the vicious persons of the neighboring county. They were very scared and refused to admit it. When the practitioner's family members went to the police department to ask for her, the police made up excuses and did not tell the family the truth. At one moment they said they didn't know, the next moment they told the family they could not catch her; in the end they said that she escaped from another place. Finally they said, "Anyway, she already ran away. You can find her yourself."

Practitioners enlightened that this was a good opportunity Master arranged for us to disclose the viciousness and clarify the truth. We must cherish it. So the practitioner's family members and other practitioners went to the local police station and asked them to release the practitioner. Some other practitioners in two groups went to the neighboring county's police stations to ask for her release. On the way, practitioners disclosed the police's viciousness and clarified the truth to the people and the police station personnel. This event has been spread around in most of the local area, which effectively eliminated the evil forces and promoted Dafa. The next day the practitioner who walked out of the compound returned home safely.

A customs official went to a beauty salon and told a story to a practitioner who worked there:

Today the Administrative Committee held a meeting to criticize Falun Gong. All party members were told to attend. Several leaders just went through the motions. Some leaders didn't want to join. This customs official told a leader, "It is just useless! People who practice Falun Gong are all good people. Each of them is better than any of the party members. The practitioners are all honest people. None of them are involved in corruption. Let's go. I will take you to the beauty salon." The leader said, "I don't want to go there with you, because nowadays beauty salons cheat people, too." The official said, "This salon is run by a Falun Gong practitioner." The leader said, "Then I trust them. I will go with you."

Another day, this customs official came to the beauty salon with a different customer. The customer told them that she saw someone abuse children, but none of the police officers came over to stop it. All the people who heard this story were very angry. This official commented, "Jiang Zemin does not care about murderers or arsonists. He particularly arrests Falun Gong practitioners. They persuaded me to join the party. I refused because I took it as a shameful thing. A couple of my neighbors are Falun Gong practitioners. The wife was arrested due to going to appeal. The police fined her and forced her to write a 'guarantee statement' to abandon Falun Dafa. She had to practice secretly at home, but was reported by someone. As a result, the couple was sent to a labor camp. Their young child was left home alone without anyone to take care of the child. It is morally unreasonable. What kind of people are these party members?"

[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] The Vicious Forces Crazily Arrest Dafa Practitioners During the National Holiday

Around the National Holiday, the vicious forces in Shijiazhuang City closely followed Jiang Zemin's and Luo Gan's orders to persecute practitioners. The party secretary of Wu Zhenhua City personally commanded the police to arrest and kidnap practitioners.

1. Around 8 p.m. on September 24, more than 10 ruffians from the Political Security Team, Yuhua Police Station, Shijiazhuang City, kidnapped one male practitioner in the southern Fuqiang District. They confiscated much personal property, including a computer from his home. This practitioner was handcuffed behind his back the whole night. The police released him after they extorted 15,000 Yuan from him (the average monthly income is 500 Yuan).

2. During the night of September 24, Yuhua District authorities employed more than 100 police officers to kidnap several practitioners. They sent practitioners into a hotel of No.4 Research and Design College of Nuclear Industrial Ministry for illegal detention. One room was filled with the personal property confiscated from practitioners when the police searched their homes.

3. On the night of September 29, the city departments took joint action to arrest practitioners all over the city. The number of practitioners arrested is unknown.

4. About 8 p.m. on October 5, without proper legal documents, several dozen police officers from the East Street Police Station broke into a practitioner's home in Yudong District. They tried to break through the door to kidnap the practitioner, but the practitioner didn't cooperate with them. Since the police could not pry the door open, these ruffians unlocked the door with a master key and broke in. The commanding officer, Li, kicked the practitioner's 70 years-old mother on her chest. The old lady passed out immediately and was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. The practitioner got away.

5. On the night of October 6, a group of police officers intruded into another practitioner's home in Shimen District. They claimed that the practitioner's work unit had sent them. The practitioner was not at home, so this evil plan did not work out. We were told later that this practitioner's work unit knew nothing of this.

[Baoding City, Hebei Province] Several Baoding Teacher's College Dafa Practitioners Are Kidnapped in Shanghai

In the middle of September, practitioner Qi Shuying, female, a lecturer at Baoding Teacher's College, was kidnapped in Shanghai. Her 2-year-old daughter was forcibly sent away to her parents' place in the countryside. On October 13, Qi Shuying was sent back to Baoding City. She is currently detained in Baoding's Custodial Center. On October 16, she began a protest hunger strike for seven days.

[China] The Righteous Taxi Driver

A couple of days before October 1, 2001, I went to visit a relative who was illegally detained at a labor camp because of firmly practicing Falun Gong. I told the taxi driver the truth of Falun Dafa. When I mentioned that my relative was unlawfully arrested and sentenced to forced labor because of practicing Falun Dafa, the driver felt very angry and said, "I wonder why they arrest Falun Gong practitioners? Who do Falun Gong practitioners provoke? In our village, people who practice Falun Gong are all good people. A lady over 70-years-old who used to be in poor health and could not even move by herself, could walk from her village to another village to sell goods after practicing Falun Gong. At noon, she would eat two buns for lunch and then carry purchased goods back. I know that whatever is said on TV is fake. It is hard to believe that they would ask some people to tell lies and frame Falun Gong! These people have really lost their minds. How could they do such an immoral thing?"

Government-created rumors can no longer confuse the peoples' minds. People are awakening. Eventually the evil will have nowhere to hide.

[Baoding City and Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] The Police Do Evil in the Train Stations

Recently, police equipped with computers illegally occupied the ticket office, waiting rooms, exits and entrances of the Baoding City Train Station. They stop people for questioning, ID checking, and bags searching. Many Dafa practitioners who were forced to stay away from home were all put on the Internet as "wanted." That is why the police stationed at the entrance to the waiting hall were equipped with computers.

This very same thing happened in Shijiazhuang City's train station, especially at the exits. These policemen blocked all exits and entrances to make people follow one line. The police talked through microphones and yelled, "Be prepared for ID checking and take out your ID." On one side of the line was a row of tables with four to five computers. All passengers had to go through this checkpoint before they could get on board the train.

[Quzhou County, Hebei Province] News

On the morning of September 30, 2001, Li Bin, deputy chief of Houcun Town Village Police Station in Quzhou County, along with four policemen went to Qianchenyiangu Village to illegally arrest practitioner Zhang Fengkui. The practitioner's two sons, Zhang Haiyue and Zhang Haiguo, and his nephew, Zhang Haibo, were all non-practitioners but spoke in righteous terms and tried to stop the police's illegal, violent actions. The police were then not able to get Zhang Fengkui. However, they came back with more than 10 thugs and forcefully took Zhang Fengkui away from home. They then duped his son, Zhang Haiyue, into the police station and forced Zhang Haiguo to get into a police car and brought him to the police station. The brothers were then handcuffed to a pole with their hands behind their back.

Zhang Haibo went to the police station to pick up his two brothers but was also handcuffed in the same way. Later on, the police took him to a separate room and let more than ten people beat him until he passed out. The police then sent him to the hospital for treatment, because they were afraid of taking the responsibility. Finally, these criminals even forced him to pay 100 Yuan for the hospitalization and an additional fine of 200 Yuan.

At present, more than a dozen practitioners are held here. The oldest practitioner among them is over 60 years old. Most of them have been brutally beaten and tortured.

There is a low-level official named Sun Zhan who has three followers -- Lu Tao, Wang Tao and Xing. Xing is the cruelest one of the three. In order to force Wang Lulu (pseudonym) to give up Dafa, the thugs forced her to squat on Master's portrait. They punched and kicked her whenever she disobeyed them. They even yanked her hair and slammed her head against the wall. The noise could be heard even several rooms away. They also whipped her with bamboo strips. Once, a policeman beat practitioner Liu Xiaohui (pseudonym) so hard that the bamboo strip he used broke and his hand was hurt as well. Liu Xiaohui's legs were badly swollen. From this example we could see how vicious and brutal they were. However, all this didn't cause the practitioners' resolute faith in Dafa to waver.

The thugs also extorted a large amount of money from practitioners, usually a "fine" of several thousand Yuan. Sometimes it exceeded ten thousand Yuan. But they only gave practitioners small pieces of bread to eat, which was far from enough. Many times they even forbid practitioners to use the toilet. Now none of the practitioners' family members are allowed to visit. They even installed an alarm on the door. Whenever somebody opened the door it would ring out loud. They also put some devices on the windows.

[Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] The Crimes of Jiamusi City Policeman Chen Wanyou

Policeman Chen Wanyou is the instructor of the Political and Security Team of Jiamusi City's Police Department and also a member of the evil "610 Office." Since April 25, 1999, he has been participating, scheming, and commanding the persecution against Dafa and practitioners and has committed unforgivable crimes. With the excuse of carrying out orders of his superiors, he cheated family members of the practitioners. According to inside news, the huge amount of money he extorted has far exceeded tens of thousands of Yuan, and he has also instigated other policemen to injure many practitioners. Chen Wanyou refused to release practitioners, even when the detention center gave a release notice because the practitioners' lives were in danger, he still wouldn't release a single practitioner unless he received money. If the practitioners' families had no money, they had to borrow it. He participated in every single persecution case and would never give up if he hadn't received any profit. He even pretended to be a nice person. This person has an outward hypocritically kind face, but a cruel heart. Here, we sternly warn this vile person to wake up to avoid danger, stop persecuting practitioners! Otherwise, retribution will soon arrive.

On the evening of September 29, 2001, when returning after I had distributed some Dafa materials, four vicious thugs from the Hou Village Police Station of Quzhou County stopped me. I shouted, "Someone is blocking my way!" They forcibly covered my mouth. Afterwards, Director Li Shouzhong arrived with over a dozen vicious thugs. They dragged me for 20 meters on the concrete pavement by my arms. I lost my shoes and my pants were ripped. They humiliated and cursed me and forcibly carried me in the police wagon.

At the police station, assistant director Lei Qingwen and another vicious thug kicked me hard while pulling my hair. Another assistant director, Li Bin, yanked my hair and violently rapped my forehead hard with his fingers. A thought came into my mind: this is the arrangement of the evil old forces. I must totally negate it and I must walk out tonight! In the evening, four police officers were assigned to watch me. They took turns guarding the door for an hour. I checked out the location when I went to the washroom and found out there was a big enough space underneath the gate. Around 1 a.m., three of the police fell asleep while the last one was sitting on the chair to guard the door. I sent forth righteous thoughts to let him leave the door. After a while, he moved and sat on the bed. I again sent forth righteous thoughts to let him fall asleep. After a while, he fell asleep against the wall. The opportunity arrived. I walked out of the room. While I was going through the space underneath the gate, the two doors made some noise. I thought that I should not let the vicious thugs hear it and the doors stopped making noise. I successfully walked out of the police station.
