[Shandong] "This is the living hell. Nobody would care if we beat you to death"

In the yard of Xinghuo Model Ltd. of Qingdao City of Shandong Province, 30 Falun Gong practitioners from Hongdao Town are detained there. The youngest one is only 70 days old, and the eldest one is more than 70 years old. They have been detained for more than 40 days, starting from May 29. Some of them were first detained in the Dashan detention center, and after they were transferred back, they continued to be detained. Two of them were thrown into a mental hospital and given forced injections for more than a week. The guards tortured the practitioners everyday. Whenever they saw practitioners' mouths move, they would seal their mouths. After they got drunk, the guards would drag out a practitioner and throw him or her into a small room for torture. Practitioner Gao Aihua has been detained since July 3. Her body was full of wounds below her waist. The guards said: "This is the living hell. Nobody would care if we beat you to death." The family members of practitioners were not allowed to visit them.

Starting from July 1, the police station of Tuanjie Road of Gaobeidian City of Hebei Province forced the family members of local practitioners to send them to the police station every morning. The family members of practitioners had to take them home at noon, send them back after the lunch, and take them home at night. The practitioners have completely lost their freedom. A few days later, these practitioners went to the appeal office of the Gaobeidian City to report the illegal actions of the police station. But they were thrown into a detention center as a result. Also, they were required to write pledges of giving up their beliefs, and they were demanded to pay a fine of 10,000 Yuan each. After dozens of other practitioners learned the news, they went to the appeal office again to appeal for the release of the detained practitioners. Although they were very peaceful and orderly, they were all detained, and were required to write pledges and pay the heavy fine. Upon seeing such illegal actions of the local authorities, another two practitioners went to Beijing to appeal, but they were also detained later, and they were demanded to pay 20,000 Yuan each.

[Beijing] Brutal Tortures in Labor Camp

The Tuanhe Labor Camp of Beijing City has been torturing detained Falun Gong practitioners for days. According to their family members who had visited them, the communist officials shocked practitioners by pushing high voltage electric batons on their bodies for long periods. They did not allow practitioners to sleep, and they forced them to write repentance. When their family members visited them, they saw the black wounds all over their faces that were left by electric batons.

The police stations in different regions of Sichuan held an emergency conference. They decided to try their best to intercept practitioners in train stations, bus stations, airports, etc. in order to prevent them from going to Beijing to appeal. Almost all the police officers were dispatched to deal with Falun Gong practitioners.

Three former employees of the First Automobile Factory in Jiling Province have been detained by the local police up to now. They have suffered inhumane tortures and great pressures. But they are still determined about their beliefs in Falun Dafa, and they refuse to give in to the evil. Their moral courage has moved many people, and encouraged local practitioners.

[Guangzhou]

It has been quite difficult to contact local practitioners for the past few days. Some of them have been detained by the local police station in the name of attending "study classes", and some police officers went to the homes of practitioners directly in order to limit their freedom. Some police officers stayed at the doors of practitioners' homes. The family members of many practitioners have grown very unhappy about the police. In Tianhe District, many practitioners have been detained. In Dongshan District, many are detained in the Meihuayuan Hotel.

In particular, a couple in sixties were illegally detained by the local police station in June and July. On the morning of July 16, the police station detained them again with the excuse that "they were stubborn, and determined about Falun Dafa". Their family members were very unhappy about the police and they told the police that they were violating the law while enforcing the law. The son of the old couple also called from US asking the police station for the reason of the detention of his parents, who have been striving to be good people and have not spent a penny on the medical expenses for years after practicing Falun Gong. The police had no answer.
