40 Human Rights Organizations and some famous Chinese dissidents urged the international society to support a resolution condemning China's serious violation of human rights. The resolution is proposed by the United States and will be submitted to the UN Human Rights Commission next week.
VOA reported from Geneva: the Human Rights Activists condemned the Chinese government's crackdown on religious and political groups in large scale. The victims included Falun Gong practitioners, Christians, Catholics, Buddhists and Muslim.
These Human Rights activists appealed to the UN Commission on Human Rights to vote against China's "no-action motion". For the past few years, China has adopted that procedure to prevent debate on such resolutions.
