The police claimed Ms. Sun Min died as a result of "falling from a height" on APRIL 23, 2009. But the postmortem examination report is dated APRIL 22. In addition, her family members found wounds on her body. Even staffs at the Medico-Legal Appraisal Institute denied the police's conclusion.
After being detained for five months, Mr. Ji Baoshan was sentenced to five years in a secret trail. His wife begs on the street while holding her infant, with a yellow cloth telling her experience to public for help.

Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Wu Yang, also named Wu Zhijun, from Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, along with his wife Ms. Sun Min, went to Beijing to avoid being harassed and persecuted by their local Chinese Communist Party officials. They lived at Jiaomenxili in Fengtai District.
At around 9:00 a.m. on April 22, 2009, Mr. Wu Yang was distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs at a "Shoe City" store in Xuanwu District, Beijing City. He was reported, and taken to Niujie Police Station by local security guards. Two days later, Mr. Wu Yang and Ms. Sun Min's families in Chifeng realized that the couple was missing. They went to various police stations in Beijing looking for them.
On April 28, 2009, Fengtai Police Precinct sent Ms. Sun Min's family a "Death Notice" which stated, "At around 1:30 a.m. on April 23, 2009, Sun Min was found dead as a result of falling from a height at the south side of Building 19 at Chenxinyuan Residential Area, Jiaomenxili, Fengtai District, Beijing City."
Fengtai Police Precinct claimed they asked Beijing Shengtang Medico-Legal Appraisal Institute to do the postmortem identification. However, the postmortem examination report was dated APRIL 22, and the institute claims they were asked to do only a body superficial examination.
An employee of Beijing Shengtang Medico-Legal Appraisal Institute, who wishes to remain anonymous, said, "The body shows that death was not caused by falling from a five-story building. The characteristics of a body that has fallen from a high building are not like this." Even a technician said, "Based on our knowledge she did not die from falling."
On May 6, the couple's families met with Wang Zengbin, the contact person listed on the death notification. According to Wang, Ms. Sun Min was in custody of the police from the Xuanwu District before she died. After Ms. Sun's death, he went to the site of death in the capacity of a local police officer. He said that the police from the Xuanwu District went to the house where Mr. Wu Yang and Ms. Sun Min were staying at around 10:00 or 11:00 p.m. on April 22. When they knocked on the door Ms. Sun opened the door, but she shut the door once she saw that the people at the door were strangers. About ten minutes later, the police from Xuanwu Precinct found Ms. Sun's body outside the building. The cause of death was listed as falling from the building.
If Ms. Sun were dead on April 23, why did no one notify the family members right away. According to insiders, the police also arrested Ms. Sun Min on April 22, 2009. While Mr. Wu was interrogated at 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m., Ms. Sun was interrogated in another room.
Ms. Sun's body was stored in a refrigerator drawer at Beijing Shengtang Medico-Legal Appraisal Institute. The drawer can only be opened half-way, otherwise the whole drawer will fall down. So the family members could see only the front side of the upper body. Also the surface of Ms. Sun's body was covered with frost, so the wounds were not readily visible.
Nonetheless, several severe wounds are still obvious on the front side of the upper body:
The wounds in shape of "^" are spread evenly from left to right, about 1.5 cm apart. It's very likely the wounds were caused by teeth of an electric torture device affixed to the head. There was blood in the wounds. The forehead was covered with these wounds.
Ms. Sun usually wears her hair in a ponytail. Her hair is now messy, and it appears that someone had dragged her.
There is a black wound on the neck. It appears someone choked her about the neck. Behind the right ear there are many small bloody wounds with broken skin. They look like the wounds left by an electric baton.
There is a large black wound on the right shoulder. It looks like she was beaten with a heavy object. The wound covers the connection area from the right shoulder to the back. Its size could not be determined since her back could not be seen.
The marks on her wrists indicates she was handcuffed. The color of the hand is black, blue and red.
The surface shows bloody red-colored marks. They look like the marks left by an electric baton.
Two upper arms were not close to the body, and her hands were "floating". It appears that she had been hung up.
Ms. Sun Min's Body
These pictures were taken when the guard was not paying attention. On the day they transferred the body, when the couple's family member tried to take a picture of the whole body and her back, the guard stopped them.
The so-called Postmortem Examination Report appears to be falsified. It was fabricated so police could use it to show that Ms. Sun died as a result of falling from a height, in order to cover the real crime of murder in police custody. The report stated that all wounds were caused by the fall. The examination only covers the surface of the body and no report of any internal examination was included. They used this report to cover up the real reason of death and are trying to use it as evidence.
The "Postmortem Examination Report" was produced by Beijing Shengdang Judicature Identification Center:

Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Ji Baoshan Sentenced to Five Years
At 12:30 pm on January 11, 2009, when Mr. Ji Baoshan returned home after collecting some faggot, he was handcuffed and chained by the police from the Domestic Security Team of Fangzheng County Police Department. Then the police went in to confiscate his personal property, including Zhao Jiaqi (Deputy Police Chief), Yu Guangsheng (Deputy Police Chief), Lu Tongjin (Domestic Security Team Captain), Bai Wenjie (Domestic Security Team Lieutenant) and Wang Linchun (policeman). Mr. Ji's two-year-old child was so frightened that he began to cry loudly. Hearing the child's cries, nearby village residents wanted to come in to look after the child, but Wang Linchun stopped them at the entrance and swore at them.
On June 16, 2009, a police officer notified Mr. Ji's family to send some clothing and articles of daily use for him, as he was about to be transferred to another place. That same day, Mr. Ji's mother and wife each carried a child to the police department. They were told Mr. Ji had been sentenced to five years and would be sent to Hulan Prison.
Mr. Ji Baoshan
Mr. Ji was arrested on January 11, and a court hearing was held secretly on April 13. No family members were notified. The verdict contained charges that were made up and they were inconsistent with China's constitution. Mr. Ji thus appealed to the Harbin City Intermediate Court but was rejected on May 13. Throughout all of these proceedings, no one notified Mr. Ji's family.
When Mr. Ji's family members visited him at the 1st Detention Center, they found that he was in very poor health. He was unable to straighten his back or even eat. His tuberculosis, which was cured because of practicing Falun Gong, had now recurred. Mr. Ji told them it was a direct result of tortures by the Domestic Security Team. During this process, Wang Linchun has been the most vicious. The purpose of the brutal torture was to find so-called evidence to sentence him.
On June 17, Mr. Ji's wife found Wang Linchun, asking him why he tortured Mr. Ji, and told him that he would be responsible for all consequences. Up hearing this, Wang Linchun sneered, "Yes, I did beat him. So what? What can you do to me? You can try and go wherever you want to sue me!"
Mr. Ji's wife Shi Renxue went to ask Police Chief Han Tiezheng about this issue. Han replied, "It's none of your business. The Detention Center officials will take care of that."
When Shi Renxue went to talk with Wang Linchun and Han Tiezheng, she was stopped by the guard. When Han stepped out of the building to get into the car, Shi went up to him requesting that he not send Mr. Ji to prison because of his tuberculosis. Han ignored her and left her standing in the wind, holding her daughter.
Fangzheng County officials have illegally detained Mr. Ji for half a year now, and this has brought much difficulty to his family. His young daughter is only a few months old and his wife had to carry her, traveling to many places including the police department, domestic security team, and county hall. She told them Falun Gong is good and requested that her husband be released. However, no one would help her. Therefore, she had no choice but to beg on the street for food while holding her infant daughter. She wrote down her experience on a yellow cloth and displayed it, asking people for help.
