Due to posting "Falun Dafa is Good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good" signs, Mr. Lin Huiguo was sentenced to three years in prison. His wife fainted after hearing the news, while she was still recovering from injuries caused by tortures in jail.

Mr. Lin Huiguo Secretly Sentenced to Three-Year Prison Term

Between May and October 2008, the 610 Office and the Police Department of Wenling City in Zhejiang Province arrested about thirteen Falun Gong practitioners. Among them, two were sent to brainwashing centers and the rest were sent to the detention center.

In late May 2008, Mr. Lin Huiguo was arrested while he was posting "Falun Dafa is Good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good" signs on utility poles in a village in Wenling City. He was detained at the Wenling Detention Center.

Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, for the purpose of helping authorities learn the truth about Falun Gong, Mr. Lin Huiguo has gone to Beijing to appeal. However, he was detained in a brainwashing center five times; once in 2000, twice in 2001, once in 2003, once in 2004 and once in 2007. In November 2007, Mr. Lin was detained for seven days. On November 14, 2008, the Wenling Court tried Mr. Lin Huiguo, but the session ended quickly. Several days later, Mr. Lin was secretly sentenced to a three-year prison term.

His wife was also arrested and then tortured in Wenling City Detention Center for about a month. She had been badly injured both physically and mentally. After being released from the detention center, unable to do housework, she had difficulty eating and sleeping. After learning of Mr. Lin's situation, she fainted. Her relatives took her to the People's Hospital in Wenling City. The doctor requested that she be transferred to the Hangzhou City Hospital because she was on the verge of death. She has paid about 10,000 yuan for medical treatment.
