Ms. Li Fengmei, a Falun Gong practitioner from Xiongyue Township, Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, has been illegally detained and Tortured in the Women's Prison of Liaoning Province since the end of 2004. Both her physical body and mind have been tremendously damaged. On several occasions, she was on the verge of death.

Recently, Ms. Li has been tortured by being handcuffed behind her back, and hung up. She was also shocked with electric batons and tortured in other various, cruel ways. Both her arms have been broken, and she has difficulty walking. Her neck is infected, having blood and pus for a long time. The scars on Ms. Li's body are countless. Presently, her life is in constant danger.

The prison guards who have participated in persecuting Ms. Li Fengmei include Yu Chengshui, Chen Haixin, Dong Jinfeng, and Dai Jing. Other persecutors include Chen Fengyun and Sun Xiaodan.

Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Qu Xiaotong, about thirty years old, and Ms. Qu Beibei, who is in her twenties, are sisters living in Taohuayu Village, Tuanlin Town, Ju'nan County, Linyi City, Shandong Province. Due to their faith in Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance, they have been persecuted by Jiang's roguish regime since 1999, and were forced to leave their home.

On June 24, 2004, while having a meal together in a small restaurant, Ms. Qu Xiaotong and two Falun Gong practitioners in Taian City, Mr. Zhao Weidong, along with Ms. Song Furong, were savagely arrested by several dozen police officers from Taian City. Qu Beibei was also arrested in the following several days. After being arrested, Qu Xiaotong, Qu Beibei, Zhao Weidong, Song Furong and other Falun Gong practitioners were tortured by extremely cruel means in attempts to extract “confessions.” This included being injected with drugs that damage one’s central nervous system. The practitioners' bodies and minds were severely tortured.

At seven o'clock on June 24, 2004, Ms. Qu Beibei and her fellow practitioners, Ms. Song Qiai and Song Furong, were taken somewhere while blindfolded, by the police from Taishan District. They were tortured there for the extraction of a confession. Police grabbed Song Furong's hair and fiercely rammed her head against the wall. Song Qiai and Qu Beibei's necks were shocked with electric batons, and they were punched, kicked, and tortured to the extreme. After they started a hunger strike to protest the persecution, they were savagely force-fed.

On September 15, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Zhao Weidong, Ms. Song Furong, Ms. Qu Beibei, Ms. Song Qiai, Ms. Hou Qingyuan, Ms. Lu Xia and Ms. Qu Xiaotong were secretly tried in Taishan District Court in Taian City. Before the illegal pretrial, the so-called open court session for investigation, seven practitioners were all injected with unidentified drugs, which rendered them unable to speak during the court session.

Seven Falun Gong practitioners were severely tortured and their bodies were extremely thin and weak. Only Zhao Weidong and Hou Qingyuan could walk under their own strength. Three of them required other people's support to walk. The other two have become shadows of their former selves, severely deformed and near death. Police had to grab their arms and legs to move them.

On September 23, Taishan District Court sentenced seven Falun Gong practitioners to imprisonment of eight to twelve years. Song Qiai was sentenced to nine years of imprisonment, while both Song Furong and Qu Beibei were sentenced to eight years. The practitioners did not accept the verdict and appealed, but Taian City Middle Court upheld the original verdict. Before taking them to Jinan Provincial Women's Prison, they were again injected with drugs that damage one’s central nervous system. They felt their tongues become stiff and numb while saliva kept dripping, and they could not speak a word no matter how hard they tried.

Song Furong's body is very weak and she has to depend on other people's support to walk. She also suffers from severe amnesia. She could not even recall her village and her home phone number. When she cleans herself in the morning, she does not even recognize her own towel and soap. Song Qiai is dull eyed and does not even recognize her family. No matter what others ask her, she always shakes her head. She cannot recall anything or speak a word. The situation for Qu Beibei is even worse.

Due to secret imprisonment, information about Qu Xiaotong’s persecution cannot been ascertained at this time.

Qu Xiaotong and Qu Beibei suffered from tremendous persecution after being imprisoned in Jinan Provincial Women's Prison. In 2006, when their family visited them, they looked very thin and weak. But since the summer of 2006, Jinan Provincial Women's Prison has not allowed family visits and they have not been heard from since.

Sun Haibo was born in 1967. She is Deputy Chief of the Supervisory and Management Group of Changyi City Police Department. She lives at the residence compound at the custodial station in Changyi City. Sun Haibo is the main perpetrator who persecutes Falun Gong practitioners at the detention center (re-named the Supervisory and Management Group) in Changyi City. In the past seven years, Sun has senselessly tortured Falun Gong practitioners and committed numerous crimes. She has been promoted and awarded by CCP. At present, Sun Haibo has been recommended as a candidate for the CCP's “National Excellent People's Policewoman.”

The following is just a little information about Sun Haibo's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

Torture of Various Kinds

Sun Haibo often instigated other inmates to put heavy shackles on practitioners. Practitioners' hands and feet were tied almost to each other and they couldn't straighten their backs. They could barely walk. While walking they had to lower their heads and their buttocks had to be kept high. The perpetrators didn't remove the shackles unless practitioners admitted they were wrong to practice Falun Gong. (When male inmates had these shackles on, they would feel extreme pain in their back soon after, and would not be able to look after themselves. They would have to be looked after when eating, going to bed and going to the toilet. In less than one day, the hands and feet would become swollen because of the weight of the shackles.)

Sun Haibo used a leather belt to savagely beat female Falun Gong practitioners. The feet of some practitioners were swollen severely and bruised as a result, and they were not able to put shoes on.

Sun Haibo instigated inmates to handcuff a female Falun Gong practitioner and ordered one inmate to pin her down and another to insert a big plastic tube (not the kind used in hospitals, and not disinfected at all) into her mouth. They then put a funnel-like gadget on the other end of the tube and poured food in. Some practitioners vomited mouthfuls of blood during these brutal forced-feeding sessions. Sun didn't even spare elderly or young practitioners from this torture.

Sun Haibo also had practitioners stripped and forced them to stand in front of her. She then sexually harassed them by touching their breasts. She even did this to practitioners who were having their menstrual period.

Robbing Practitioners of Money and Personal Belongs.

Sun Haibo stole money and property from Falun Gong practitioners and took it as her own. She searched practitioners, and any money found she put into her own pocket. Sun quibbled, “Why don't you hand in the money voluntarily?”

One practitioner was detained at the custodial station because of “clarifying the truth”. Her child spent 200 yuan and bought a down coat for her as a New Year's gift. Sun forced the practitioner to take off the coat when she searched her and said that the coat was too new and would not be registered. She said that she would ask her family to take it home. But she wore it herself eventually.

Under the direction of the Jilin City and Jilin Province National Security Bureau, the police in Changyi, Chuanying and other districts recently launched a mass arrest of Falun Gong practitioners in Jilin City. The practitioners who were recently arrested include Mr. Wu Jianmin, Ms. Zhang Xiuzhi, Ms. Zhang Shuhua, Ms. Zhang Shulan, Ms. Du Hongfang, Mr. Guo Yunqing, Ms. Guo Fengqing, Mr. Xie Lin, Mr. Jin Sanzhou, Ms. Wang Minli, Wu (gender unknown), Mr. He and his wife.

During the interrogation, the police used a stick to poke the genital area of practitioner Ms. Zhao Yingjie (unmarried). Ms. Zhao reported the incident to other police involved in the case, but no one paid any attention.

Practitioner Mr. Liu Hongwei could not walk due to torture and is now in a wheelchair. Practitioner Ms. Zhao Yingjie was force-fed with five bottles of mustard oil. Her mouth and cheeks were severely damaged.

Among the 19 arrested practitioners, a practitioner whose name is still unknown was tortured even more brutally and has been sent to the hospital of Jilin Province Police Department. According to people who witnessed the torture, practitioner Liu Yu from Huadian City was tortured so badly that he could not walk anymore, and could only crawl after the interrogation. The mother of practitioner Ms. Wang Liqiu from Jilin City received a call from a kind person who said that Ms. Wang Liqiu was on a hunger strike and her heart disease had recurred. Her illness is very serious.

A brainwashing class was also held in Jilin City.

Mr. Yuan Rong, a Falun Gong practitioner from Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, was arrested by police and agents from the local 610 Office in 2002. After the district attorney in Hunan Province charged Mr. Li, the court sentenced him to eight years in prison. He is currently being jailed in Zone 3, Ward 6, Wangling Prison. The prison guards have tortured him on a number of occasions since February 2007.

On February 28, March 1, and March 2, 2007, male guards Tan Dongming, Liu Zaolin, Jiao and Liu Cheng used four electric batons to shock Mr. Yuan. They also handcuffed him and suspended him in midair while beating and torturing him.

Reports indicate that Mr. Yuan's mistreatment at Wangling Prison continues in secret.

Mr. Li Hui, a practitioner from Chenzhou City, was sentenced to three years in prison in 2004. He too is being held at Wangling Prison. Because Mr. Li has been resolute in his practice of Falun Gong, he has been the target of mistreatment by guards since 2005. On July 13, 2005, the so-called "Difficult Inmate Team" was established specifically to mistreat Mr. Li. It consisted of four male guards (Yuan Minle, Liu Cheng, Wu Xiangmin, and Liu Jianhua) and four prisoners who monitored practitioners.

These individuals handcuffed Mr. Li to a steel fence surrounding a rarely-used end of a staircase and forced him to stand for sixteen consecutive days. They deprived him of sleep twenty-four hours a day and took turns torturing him. The guards forced Mr. Li to stand throughout the entire process. They also shocked him with electric batons while reading aloud materials that slandered Falun Gong. In addition to all this, they had other prisoners beat and insult him. Mr. Li's feet swelled as a result of the severe torture, and walked with difficulty for an extended period of time.
