Mr. Gong Huatao, age 30, was a teacher in the Wenfeng Middle School of Suizhou City. He was wrongfully dismissed for practicing Falun Gong. On April 4, 2002, Mr. Gong was captured by the Suizhou national security police at an informational materials printing center and was later illegally sentenced to an 8 year prison term. He is now being detained and tortured at Qingduankou Prison in Wuhan City.

Ms. Wang Li, age 28, from Lishan Township of Suizhou City is the wife of Mr. Gong Huatao. She was abducted together with Mr. Gong and sentenced to 7 years in prison. Ms. Wang is now imprisoned at Baofenglu Women's Prison in Wuhan City.

Ms. Li Fengai, in her 50's, was forced into a divorce due to her persistence in practicing Falun Gong. On March 11, 2004, a theatre in Suizhou City was showing a movie slandering Falun Gong. Ms. Li went to the theatre to send forth righteous thoughts. She was arrested by the national security police and sent to a labor camp for three years. She is now being detained at the 2nd Group of Wuhan Women's Labor Camp located in Mahu Village, Hongshan District, Wuhan City.

Mr. Wang Duanfeng, in his 20's, is from Shangshi Township of Suizhou City. He was detained on February 6, 2005 and sentenced to 3 years in a labor camp. He is now being detained at the 9th Group of the Shayang Qilihu Labor Camp of Hubei Province.

Ms. Wei Xiaoping, age 36, was sentenced to 3 years in a labor camp in 2002. Owing to her strong righteous thoughts, Ms. Wei was able to escape from the labor camp but was since forced to become homeless. Her 3-year-old daughter then also lost proper parental care. In April 2005, Ms. Wei was captured again out of town and again sentenced to 3 years in the labor camp. Ms. Wei is now illegally jaied in the 2nd Group of Wuhan Women's Prison.

Ms. Wang Lingyun, age 28, works for Bodao Company in Suizhou City. On December 12, 2006, Ms. Wang was abducted by the Suizhou national security police and sent to a labor camp for one year and three months. She is now detained at the the 2nd Group of Wuhan Women's Prison.

Mr. Liu Hongping, age 32, was arrested by the National Security Police on December 12, 2006. He was illegally sentenced to a labor camp for one year and 9 months. Mr. Liu is now detained in the 9th Group of the Shayang Qilihu Labor Camp of Hubei Province.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yan Suqin from Huangchuan County, Henan Province was subjected to persecution many times because she persisted in her belief in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. On January 24, 2007, the Huangchuan County Court suddenly announced that she was sentenced to four years in prison without giving her a trial.

Ms. Yan is a laid-off worker from Huangchuan County Textile Factory. Before practicing Falun Gong, she suffered from cataracts in both of her eyes, and was on the verge of losing her eyesight. After she began cultivating, all of the symptoms quickly disappeared.

Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Ms. Yan has been subjected to persecution. At about 9:00 p.m. on November 27, 2005, a group of police officers from the 610 Office and the National Security Group broke into her house and started to search it without discretion. They confiscated her television, DVD player, MP3 players, and other possessions. They arrested her and took her to the Hedian Detention Center of Huangchuan County where they illegally detained her. In the prison, a male guard with the last name of Wang kicked her and instructed criminal inmates to twist her arms and beat her. Furthermore, they put an over-20-pound shackle on her. She was released after being tortured for over a month.

On June 7, 2006, Ms. Yan was arrested by Head Chen Sheng (male), Deputy Head Xin Haijun (male), agent Zhang Qinghai from the National Security Group of the police department, and Chief Liang Shikui (male) from Bota Town Police Station while clarifying the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Forest Farm, Bota Town, Huangchuan County. She was detained at Hedian Detention Center in Huangchuan County for seven months .

On January 24, 2007, Huangchuan County Court suddenly issued a verdict sentencing Ms. Yan Suqin to four years in prison without holding a public hearing or notifying her family members.

Less than two months after Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Mei Chunfu from Qi County, Henan Province was released from Xuchang City Forced Labor Camp, he was arrested again on the afternoon of February 7, 2007, by police officer Liu Hongtao and others from the Political Security Section of Qi County Police Department.

Policeman Liu Hongtao and others instructed the policemen from the Shawo Town Police Station, Qi County to deceive Mei Chunfu and his family members into going to the town office under the pretext of a "follow-up visit from the guards of the Xuchang Forced Labor Camp." After exchanging a few words with Mr. Mei Chunfu, policeman Liu Hongtao arrested him and took him to Qi County Detention Center using the excuse that he was not "transformed" and needed to be imprisoned again.

Mr. Mei Chunfu is 65 years old. He is a villager in Shawo Village, Shawo Town, Qi County. Not long after he started to practice Falun Gong, his many illnesses dissipated without medical treatment, and his whole family benefited from Falun Gong. Since the beginning of the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Mr. Mei has gone to the provincial government and Beijing many times to appeal for Falun Gong and call for justice. After he was illegally detained and persecuted for over six months, Mei Chunfu was unlawfully sentenced to three years.

Shortly after being released from the Kaifeng City Forced Labor Camp, Mr. Mei Chunfu was reported when he clarified the truth about Falun Gong on the way to Kaifeng City. Police from Kaifeng County again sought approval to sentence him for three years in prison. Seeing that the determined Mr. Mei Chunfu had been sent back again, the Kaifeng Forced Labor Camp refused to accept him for various reasons. Only after the police invited the forced labor camp officials for dinner and bribed them with gifts did the forced labor camp reluctantly admit Mr. Mei Chunfu to the labor camp. Mr. Mei suffered and witnessed all the brutal torture in the forced labor camp. In the summer of 2006, Kaifeng City Forced Labor Camp tortured Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Zhagen. Due to pressure from international investigation organizations, the Falun Gong practitioners in Kaifeng Forced Labor Camp were transferred to Xuchang City Forced Labor Camp for further persecution in the fall of 2006. Mr. Mei Chunfu again witnessed and was subjected to inhuman torture in Xuchang City Forced Labor Camp.

In the past seven years since the persecution started on July 20, 1999, Mr. Mei Chunfu has spent most of his time in the detention centers and forced labor camps.
