On September 12, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chen Suxiang from Tangshan City was arrested by Qianquzhuang Dadui (a village neighborhood) Security Chairman Li Zhiqiang. She was brutally beaten by a group of guards, resulting in her being severely injured. She was transferred to the Kaiping Police Station on September 13, 2006, and died on the same day.

Ms. Chen Suxiang, 50, lived in Dongyaoxia Village, Kaiping District, Tangshan City. After learning Falun Gong, she became very healthy, and was a good person who was well respected by the people in her village. In order to help more people see the truth about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and to tell them that Falun Dafa is good, she passed out truth clarifying materials in the Qianquzhuang Neighborhood at around noon on September 12, 2006. She was detained by the Qianquzhuang Security Chairman Li Zhiqiang in his apartment building on the fourth floor, second door, building 102.

Li Zhiqiang took Ms. Chen Suxiang to the Qianquzhuang Village CCP Committee office and beat Ms. Chen brutally together with guard Li Jianjun (male). They punched and kicked her in the lower back, head, legs, and caused her to have a large area of bruises on her body. They struck her severely, resulting in her collapsing on the floor. The Village Women's Association workers Liu Xiaohua (female) and Guo (female, first name unknown) witnessed the beating.

On the morning of September 13, 2006, Ms. Chen Suxiang was arrested and taken to the Kaiping Police Station. Her mother and husband went to the station to request her release. They saw that Ms. Chen Suxiang wore handcuffs and ankle shackles, and was mentally traumatized. She told her family how she was being brutally beaten. Her mother saw the injuries on her lower back and behind her ears. Her eyes were bruised and swollen, and there were bruises on her legs.

At around 3:00 p.m., on September 13, 2006, Ms. Chen said she needed to use the toilet. She started swaying when she walked, and had to be helped by two female police officers to reach the toilet. They waited a long time, and Ms. Chen never walked out. They entered the bathroom and found that she had passed out. By the time they sent her to Jingezhuang Mine Hospital, she had already died.

On September 1, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Guibin from Ximalin Town, Wanquan County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province was illegally arrested by police officers from the county police department, the National Security Team, and Ximalin Town police station, as well as officials from the Village Party Council. He was sent to the Shisanli Detention Center in Zhangjiakou. At 1:00 a.m. on September 14, 2006, the police declared that Mr. Wang had died; however, his wife was prohibited from seeing his body.

Mr. Wang's three sons rushed over immediately and managed to see the body, but the police refused to let them bring their father's body home. It is not known how Mr. Wang died.

Mr. Wang Guibin was a 57-year-old Falun Gong practitioner. Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, his home has been broken into on several occasions by members of the Communist Party from the local police station. Many of his personal belongings were illegally confiscated and he was arrested no fewer than ten times in the past seven years. He was imprisoned in the Village CCP's office, the town police station, the detention center, a brainwashing session, etc., where he suffered brutal beatings, humiliation, and all forms of persecution as an attempt to force him to give up his Falun Gong practice. The local officials tried to sentence Mr. Wang to "re-education" through a forced labor term in prison, giving up only when his health had severely deteriorated from persecution.

During the years when Mr. Wang was forced to leave home and live in exile to avoid being arrested, he had to spend many nights in cemeteries and fields.

At around 6:00 a.m. on September 1, 2006, Mr. Wang had just stepped into the vegetable market run by his three sons when Wu Rui, from Ximalin Village, reported him to the authorities. Director of the local security committee Guo Wanbao, policemen Cai Jianping, Guo and Sun arrived immediately. They lured Mr. Wang to the police station by asking him to come for a quick talk. Many passers-by witnessed them forcibly pushing Mr. Wang into the police car. It wasn't until two days later that Guo Wanbao presented Mr. Wang's family members with an arrest warrant.

At around 4:00 p.m. on September 15, the county National Security Team police car stopped in front of Mr. Wang's home once again. The driver Tian Haidong asked to speak to Mr. Wang's wife. When she came out, he took her to the Zhangjiakou funeral parlor and told her that her husband was dead.

This sudden news traumatized her, and she collapsed immediately. She needed the support of others to walk, fell sick and became bedridden. She is currently hospitalized and is being sustained through continuous intravenous injection. Mr. Wang's mother, who is over 80 years old, became mentally weak after seeing her son illegally arrested on so many occasions.

Since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, the Jidong Prison in Fengnan City, Hebei Province has imprisoned over 100 practitioners. Guards in the prison use coercion to torture practitioners, who firmly believe in Truth, Compassion, Forbearance, to renounce their beliefs. The guards lock practitioners in a small isolated cell for prolonged periods of time, put handcuffs and shackles on them, deprive them of sleep, and inundate them with vicious lies around the clock.

Guards in the Jidong Prison locked practitioner Guo Xiangyu from Shijiazhuang in a small isolated room in the Strict Management Team for over a year. During that time, Guo Xiangyu was not allowed to bathe and had to wear handcuffs and leg shackles. The guards sent in collaborators to try to brainwash Guo Xiangyu. While Guo Xiangyu was on a hunger strike, the guards inserted a tube into Guo Xiangyu's stomach and force-fed him.

Dr. Ge Huaiqiang, a CT expert in cereboral speciality, lived at Zhaoyang St., Yunhe District, Cangzhou City. He was sentenced to four years in prison for practicing Falun Gong and locked in the 5^th Detachment of Jidong Prison. The guards deprived him of sleep for five days. When he closed his eyes, the guards ordered prisoners to push his head into ice water. They forced him to lift heavy bricks and continued to force him to do heavy work even when he was injured. Dr. Ge Huaiqiang protested many times and appealed to the authorities, but never received any responses.

Practitioner Mei Yanchang from Liugezhuang Village, Dawangdian Town, Xushui County, was tortured by the guards. The guards beat, scolded, put handcuffs and shackles on Mei Yanchang, and brutally shocked Mei with electric batons.

Practitioner Sun Jianzhong from Fengrun Town, Fengrun District, was sentenced to seven years in the prison. In December 2002, Fengrun District Police Department, 610 Office, and the National Security Group arrested and tortured Sun Jianzhong. On many occasions guards used telephone wires to shock Sun Jianzhong until he lost consciousness. They then woke Sun Jianzhong up with cold water and repeated the torture. They cuffed Sun Jianzhong's hands and legs before beating him. Sun Jianzhong went on a hunger strike while in the Fengrun Detention Center, so the guards pried his mouth open with a pair of pliers and force-fed him. The guards also ordered prisoners to force-feed Sun Jianzhong with urine. They tortured him until his left side became paralyzed. In 2003, Sun Jianzhong was transferred to the First Detention Center in Tangshan City, where he continued his hunger strike. Guards shackled Sun Jianzhong to an iron chair for over two months and force-fed him. Sun Jianzhong couldn't walk afterwards due to the prolonged inactivity.

In August 2003, Lubei District Court in Tangshan City secretly put practitioners Sun Jianzhong, Han Xueyu, Zhang Yunping, Zhang Jinlu, An Zhenjie, and Guo Xiaohui, on trial and sentenced them to three to eight-year prison terms. They were taken to the Jidong Prison. Sun Jianzhong was locked in the 2^nd Detachment and monitored around the clock. Guards subjected Sun Jianzhong to brainwashing and deprived him of sleep. Because he went on a hunger strike, Sun Jianzhong was extremely weak and was transferred to the 4^th Detachment central hospital to be force-fed. Sun Jianzhong's family was not allowed to visit him. Guards forced collaborators to try to brainwash Sun Jianzhong—but to no avail. Sun Jianzhong was then transferred from the 4^th Detachment to the 5^th Detachment's Education Section, where the persecution continued. In the 5^th Detachment, the guards put Sun Jianzhong in a small isolated room, deprived him of sleep, freedom, and food, and forced him to run outside in the yard with other prisoners. After many requests, Sun Jianzhong's family finally got to visit him. Before the visit, Huang Liansheng and Li Enyuan from the education section admonished Sun Jianzhong's family for half an hour. During the family visit, Huang, Li and some other people kept watch. As soon as they heard something in the conversation that didn't follow their rules, they interrupted the conversation. The guards confiscated the food Sun Jianzhong's family brought him. After that, the guards transferred Sun Jianzhong to the 1st Chemical Labor Squadron of the 5^th Detachment and forced him to do heavy labor. The police officer in charge is Ma Jianshan.

Zhang Yunping from Heyin District, Tangshan City, was sentenced to eight years in the 5^th Detachment of Jidong Prison. Zhang Yunping was monitored around the clock and forced to undergo brainwashing. Because of the heavy labor he was forced to do, Zhang Yunping's physical condition deteriorated. He developed high blood pressure, an irregular heartbeat, and other illnesses. The prison administration refused to send him home.

Ma Zhanfeng from Xiliangwa Town, Hengshui City, was sentenced to seven years and is now imprisoned in the 5^th Detachment of Jidong Prison.

Bian Chunlian from Chengde City was sentenced to eight years. Bian Chunlian was monitored by prisoners around the clock.

Han Xueyu from Fengrun District, Fengrun City, was sentenced to seven years and persecuted in the 2^nd Detachment of Jidong Prison. Han Xueyu was denied family visits and the current situation is unknown.

An Zhenjie from Xiaoguzhuangzi Village, Fengrun District, was sentenced to seven years and is jailed the Sundry Labor Squadron of the 1^st Detachment, Jidong Prison.

The above are details about just a few of over a hundred practitioners locked in Jidong Prison. 

Yu Jiejun, a policeman from Longkou City, Shandong Province, has persecuted many Falun Gong practitioners. Now we want to expose him so that local people will know about his crimes.

After Mr. Zhao Yanhu was arrested for practicing Falun Gong, Yu Jiejun slapped his face several times while he was interrogating him. Yu also used a wooden board about 40 centimeters long, two-and-a half-centimeters thick, and 12 centimeters wide (a 1" x 4" board a few feet long) to beat Mr. Zhao on his face in order to force the interrogation. Several days later, Mr. Zhao Yanhu's face was still bruised and so painful that he didn't dare wash it.

Yu beat Mr. Kong Tiezhu (who is currently in a forced labor camp) until he was black and blue all over. Mr. Kong's eyes were so swollen after the beating that he could hardly see to walk down the road. He had to hold onto the wall to find his way. All his fingernails were burned with cigarettes and fell off. His ankles were bruised and bleeding from heavy shackles. His feet were so swollen that he could hardly walk. Another prisoner saw this and challenged Yu Jiejun, "What should you do after you beat someone up like that?" With a guilty conscience, Yu had nothing to reply. After the director of the detention center saw Mr. Kong's condition, he didn't dare take him to the detention center. Yu Jiejun was forced to send Mr. Kong Tiezhu to the hospital.

On September 29, 2000, Ms. Yang Sumin was on her way to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and she stopped by to see her son in Longkou City. After the city police department learned about this, they asked her, "Who told you to go to Beijing?" She said that no one else asked her to go and that she had chosen to go by herself. That same evening she was taken to Zhangjiagou Detention Center. They started to interrogate her on October 20. During the interrogation, Yu Jiejun and Ms. Ma Shumei beat Ms. Yang Sumin until she could hardly hear. Ms. Yang 's teeth were so injured that she could hardly open her mouth or eat anything. There was also a big bump on her head. She was tortured for three days and nights. At night she was forced to stand up without holding onto a desk, chair, or the wall. She was also not allowed to sleep. A policeman secretly asked her to sit down on a stool for a little while. When Yu saw this, he took the stool away immediately and refused to let her sit down.

At noon on January 7, 2001, two policemen from the Dachenjia Town Police Substation suddenly broke into Mr. Wang Maoye's home in Dianhou Village to arrest Mr. Wang Maoye and his wife, Ms. Zhang Yuanqing, and take them to the Dachenjia Town Police Substation. By 2:00 p.m., Yu Jiejun was already beating the couple, both of whom were over 60 years old. He beat them until 8:00 p.m., trying to force them to admit that they had given out truth-clarifying materials. The couple were beaten black and blue.

Practitioners, including Ms. Wei Hong, Ms. Wang Hongyu, Ms. Yang Meijuan, Ms. Wu Manping, Ms. Sang Hong, Wang Qinghua, Ms. Wang Hongju, Ms. Ding Suxian Jiang Zhen and others were all beaten severely by Yu Jiejun. It is a heavenly principle that whoever owes a debt has to pay it back. All the practitioners who have been persecuted will surely seek justice.

More than 100 banners with the words, "The Heavens Want to Eliminate the Chinese Communist Party; Quit the CCP to Stay Safe," hung on both sides of the streets in Sifangtai, Sanjing Township, Zhangwei Township, and other places. Wang Shubo, Beilin District 610 Office head in Suihua City led police officers Li Jianfei and others to arrest three practitioners on July 8 and 9, 2006. They were: Ms. Xue Shurong from Sanjing Township, Mr. Liu Fucai, and Ms. Tang Guirong from Zhangwei Township.

Practitioners Yao Zhenling and Ms. Du Shuxia from Jinhe Township were reported when posting truth clarification materials on the evening of August 4, 2006. Ma Wanhai and others from the Jinhe Township Police Station arrested them in the street and sent them directly to the Beilin District 610 Office in Suihua City. They extorted 1,000 yuan from each practitioner and also detained them.

Ms. Cai Xinghua, 57 years old, lives in Yintan Town in the Yinhai District ofBeihai City, Guangxi Province. Officials harassed her many times at home after July 1999, when the persecution started. The officials were from the Yinhai District Politics and Law Committee, from Yintan Town, from the Yinhai District Police Department, from Longtan Police Station, Longtan Village Office, and other places in Beihai City. They tried to force her to give up Falun Gong and write a Guarantee Statement. They also coerced her husband into writing guarantee statements.

Ms. Cai went to Beijing to appeal in July 2000. Several individuals, including Huang Xin, Huang You, Li Wenbo, Lin Shaoguo, and others, arrested her and took her to Longtan Police Station. They forced her to sign documents and be fingerprinted and transferred her to the No. 2 Detention Center in Beihai City. They held her there for 29 days and extorted 3,000 yuan from her. She was also made to submit to photographs at the Longtan Village Office. Ms. Cai was sent to a brainwashing session held at the Longtan Village office in March 2001. While there, the officials coerced her to verbally abuse Master and Falun Gong, write guarantee statements, sign documents, and be fingerprinted. They sent her to the brainwashing center for another half a day in 2002 and again in 2003. On April 11, 2006, she was studying Falun Gong books with some other practitioners when officials climbed into her backyard and confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun. The officials were Lin Yunchan, Lin An, Lin Shaomin, Lin Huanxing, Lin Bingnian, Wang Yihe, Zhang Yuyi, and others. They subsequently took her to Longtan Police Station and interrogated her, also compelling her to sign documents and be fingerprinted. The same group of people harassed Ms. Cai at her home on June 13, 2006.

Ms. Chen Jiayi, 58 years old, lives in Yintan Town. Officials often harassed her at home after July 1999. They pressured her to give up Falun Gong and write guarantee statements, and also made her husband write guarantee statements.

Huang Xin, Huang You, Li Wenbo, Lin Shaoguo, and others arrested Ms. Chen, took her to Longtan Police Station in July 2000, and held her for one day and one night. They transferred her to the No. 2 Detention Center in Beihai City and held her there for 15 days. Lin Zhang went to her home in 2000 and forced her to submit to photographs at the Longtan Village office. Ms. Chen was compelled to attend a brainwashing session at the Longtan Village office in March 2001. She was held there for eight days. She was sent back to the Longtan Village office to attend a half-day brainwashing session in 2002 and again in 2003. Ms. Chen was studying the principles of Falun Gong with some other practitioners on April 11, 2006, when officials Lin Yunchan, Lin An, Lin Shaomin, Lin Huanxing, Lin Bingnian, Wang Yihe, Zhang Yuyi, and others climbed into her backyard and took a copy of Zhuan Falun. They later took her to Longtan Police Station.

Ms. Cai Lianhua, 65 years old, lives in Yintan Town. Officials often harassed her at home after July 1999. They pressured her to give up Falun Gong and hand over her Falun Gong books and exercise tapes. Huang Xin, Huang You, Li Wenbo, Lin Shaoguo, and others sent her to a brainwashing session at the Longtan Village office in March 2001, where she was forced to verbally abuse Falun Gong, sign documents, and be fingerprinted.

Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Wang Simei from Beihai City, Guangxi Province has been frequently harassed, intimidated, arrested, detained and held in labor camp(s) by National Security agents, police officers, and officials from the community committee in the past several years.

Officials from the Yihaixincun Residential Party Committee and from the Jianshe Police Department ransacked Wang Simei’s home on July 21, 1999. They ransacked her home again on September 14 and took her to the city police department. She was held there for 24 hours before being transferred to the 2nd Detention Center in Beihai City, to be held for 15 days. She was arrested again in December 1999 and the police stole 600 yuan in cash from her. The officials ransacked her home another time and extorted 1,700 yuan from her family. They later sent her to the 1st Detention Center in Beihai City and held her there for 40 days.

Ms. Wang Simei’s home was ransacked for the fourth time in June 2000. She was arrested and held in the 1st Detention Center for 15 days and was arrested again on July 11 and detained for another 15 days at the 1st Detention Center. When Wang Simei returned to her mother’s home, she and her husband were arrested and taken to the Longtan Police Station, where they were held for two days before being transferred to Xitang Town to be held for one more day.

Officials from the Haicheng District Comprehensive Administration Office demanded 5,000 yuan from Wang Simei’s family on October 11, 2000, but the family refused to pay the money. Wang Simei was then held at the 1st Detention Center for 31 days before being sentenced to three years of forced labor. When the term was over, her term was extended by eight and a half months. The staffs from the local community committee often harassed her after her release.
