  • Russia: Press Conference in St. Petersburg Exposes CCP Crimes in Concentration Camps

On May 16, Falun Gong practitioners, the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) and The Epoch Times newspaper jointly held a press conference in the Local News Graduate, St. Petersburg. Those present at the news conference included St. Petersburg human rights activists, representatives of the city government, historians, and representatives of social groups. Reporters from Summit Hours, a well-known newspaper in Russia, and a local newspaper attended the conference.

Mr. Andley, a representative of the Falun Dafa Association of Russia, introduced the seven years of brutal persecution inflicted on Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese communist regime, previously headed by Jiang Zemin. Mr. Andley discussed the recently exposed atrocities in China's concentration camps, where Falun Gong practitioners' organs are removed when they are still alive and their bodies are cremated. The audience was deeply shocked by the terrifying crimes.

Mr. Faldoven, a representative of the human rights group "Citizens Watch", pointed out that China's human rights problems has caused concern in the international community and that the Chinese communist regime had been notoriously known as "The Evil Totalitarian Dynasty" among international human rights groups.

Mr. Doliyu, a historian and a former political commentator, stated that China's current government and information blockade made it very hard to expose to the world more facts of its concentration camps, and there was almost no generally acknowledged human rights protections in China. The historian believes that international support for investigating China's concentration camps will aid in breaking the CCP's "Iron Curtain". Above all, he claimed, more international groups and governments should become involved in the investigation.

Mr. Auguzofu, the chairperson of the social charity group "Kindness Foundation", stated that to remove organs from imprisoned living Falun Gong practitioners was a barbarous crime of torture and killing committed by the CCP, which should never be tolerated by people of conscience. At the end of the press conference, all the present groups drafted a letter to other international human rights groups and governments, calling on them to promptly investigate China's labor camps and prisons where Falun Gong practitioners and prisoners of conscience are being imprisoned and also to investigate the CCP's crimes of removing organs from the imprisoned. The letter stressed that the international community should not ignore the crimes of the CCP.
