Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lu Yanfei is from Suining City, Sichuan Province. After she was "illegally detained" and persecuted in a forced labor camp for four years, she was sentenced to forced labor for another three years. In Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp, she was persecuted until she was almost dead. She was arrested by the National Security Bureau and is currently being persecuted in a mental hospital.
Ms. Lu, 55, used to be the Female Association Director of Chuanshan County and was elected as one of the "Top 10 National Heroines." Because she practiced Falun Gong and went to Beijing twice to protest and clarify the truth, she was illegally arrested by Wang Qingyuan and others from the National Security Branch Bureau and detained in Linquanshi Detention Center. Because she refused to cooperate, she was brutally persecuted. She was forced to sit on a torture device called the "Death Prisoner Seat" and was not allowed to sleep. Later, she was illegally sentenced to four years of forced labor and sent to Sichuan Jianyang Yangmahe Forced Labor Camp. She was constantly verbally abused and forced to work for extended hours.
On February 11, 2004, after being persecuted for four years in labor camp, Ms. Lu was again "illegally arrested" by the National Security Bureau and detained in Suining Detention Center. Her family took her home after several days. On October 7 of the same year, she was arrested again by the National Security Branch Bureau and sentenced to three years in Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp, where she was persecuted until she was dying.
The methods of torture used by Namusi Forced Labor Camp are boundless. Those practitioners refusing to give up their beliefs, which is called being "transformed," were stripped naked by drug addicts who were ordered to do so by evil guards. In cold winter, cold water was poured from their heads to their feet, freezing them and making them shiver and turn blue. Practitioners were also force-fed cold water until their stomachs were bloated but were not allowed to go to bathroom. Sometimes they beat practitioners until their bodies are completely bloody. Sometimes they use cigarettes to burn practitioners' lower bodies and toothbrushes to stab into their vaginas.
Witnesses say that because Ms. Lu Yanfei refused to give up her practice, she suffered from all the tortures mentioned above. She was beaten by more than 20 drug addicts at the same time. Every day she was beaten severely by a "Baojia"(an inmate specified to closely watch a practitioner) called Lin Yan.
After great rescue efforts by her families, Ms. Lu was released on February 28, 2006. However, she was then detained by Wang Qingyuan and Zheng Dashuang from the National Security Branch Bureau in Suining City Minkang Hospital, a mental hospital. The chief doctor, Nie Hongqiang, injected her with unknown drugs and force-fed her.
Mr. Feng Huang, around 30 years old, is an engineer at the Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry. On April 19, 2006, staff from the Guangzhou City Yuexiu District 610 Office arrested Mr. Feng at his office and took him to Guangzhou City Brainwashing Center, also called the "Guangzhou City Political and Judiciary Education School."
On the morning of April 30, Mr. Feng's parents visited him at the brainwashing center. They noticed that he was very weak and people had to hold him as he walked. He also needed help to sit down and stand up. He was so weak that he could hardly talk. He told his parents in an incoherent manner that he was forced to stand facing a wall from April 19 to 20. He was not allowed to bend over until he went into convulsions. Doctors injected glucose and calcium but it didn't stop his convulsions. He was later injected with an unknown substance, which made him vomit whenever he tried to eat. He had been on glucose drips thereafter.
On April 21 and 25, Mr. Feng was taken to the Army General Hospital for tests. Doctors diagnosed him with "mentally induced vomiting." The symptoms included headache, dizziness, lower back pain, backache, sleeplessness, and vomiting. Doctors said that if his condition did not improve he could suffer kidney and heart failure. Because he lacked the needed level of potassium in his stomach, the doctors said they may not be able to save him. Mr. Feng's family is extremely worried.
Mr. Feng's wife herself is in dire condition due to the
persecution. She was arrested because she practices Falun Gong. The
eldest person in the family, who is more than 70 years old, also needs
help.
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Zhirong was a teacher at Tuanjie Elementary School in Xifeng District, Qingyang City, Gansu Province. On January 10, 2006, Mr. Liu Zhirong was persecuted to death at the No. 1 section of Tianshui City No. 3 Prison in Gansu Province. His body was cremated at Tianshui Crematory by police order at around 10 p.m. on January 14. His ashes were then sent to Qingyang Crematory. Mr. Liu's wife held a simple funeral on May 8, 2006.
In order to cooperate with the investigation efforts of the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China" (CIPFG), we hereby present once again detailed information on Liu Zhirong's death due to persecution. We hope that this information will be helpful in finding the murderer who persecuted him. We also caution those evil people who continue to persecute Falun Gong practitioners: good or evil has its due reward or punishment in the end. Stop committing crimes against Falun Gong immediately to ensure a good future!
Detail #1: On January 14, 2006, when Liu Zhirong's family members went to view his corpse, the police told them the cause of his death was suicide. However, neither his quilt, nor his body had any visible blood on them.
Detail #2: The outer corner of his eye was smashed. When the family members asked what had caused this, the police said it was due to a rat bite.
Detail #3: In regard to the reasons behind Liu Zhirong's death, there are conflicting explanations. One eye witness (a criminal) said, "He was beaten to death. After he was carried out from the educational office, he was without his shoes. He was sent to the hospital directly." Another eyewitness said, "One of the jail police pressed his leather shoes against his ear and caused his death." One policeman stated, "He committed suicide by using a slicing reamer." Another policeman said, "He committed suicide by using a broken piece from a hot water kettle." A guard said, "He committed suicide by using the broken pieces of a beer bottle."
Detail #4: One week after Liu Zhirong's death, his family received a letter Liu had sent to his wife. In that letter, he asked his wife to mail him a pair of cloth shoes, some food, and some daily necessities.
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Xu Chengben from Yantai City, Shandong Province, was illegally arrested in mid-April while exposing the crimes of the 610 Office police. They had persecuted his wife to death. Mr. Xu's current whereabouts are unknown.
Mr. Xu Chengben, 54, was an employee at Yantai City Ocean Fishery Company. He lives at Happy Valley on Fuyuan Street in the Zhibu District of Yantai City. He was detained seven times. He was sent to forced labor once and experienced brainwashing and torture three times, simply for practicing Falun Gong.
His wife, Ms. He Xiuling, was arrested by local 610 Office police in March 2003 for being persistent in practicing Falun Gong. She was tortured for a long time. On March 11, 2004, she was tortured almost to death. Agents of the 610 office and the doctor sent her to the mortuary while she was still alive. She was eventually persecuted to death. (For more details on Ms. He's case, please see the Clearwisdom article /emh/articles/2006/3/5/70530.html.) At the time of this writing, her body still remained at the funeral parlor.
Mr. Xu had long been demanding that the 610 Office explain the death of his wife, but he got no answer. When he heard that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was removing organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, he had doubts about the explanation given for the death of his wife. When her body was put into the mortuary, she was not yet dead. When the surgeon performed an autopsy on her, the family was not allowed to see it. The family was not even allowed to see her corpse.
At the Qingming festival, Mr. Xu requested to see his wife's body, but the police did not permit him. The police colluded with Mr. Xu's work unit (the Yantai City Ocean Fishery Company) and the Communist Party Committee of Happy Valley to constantly harass and followed Mr. Xu. In order to stop this, he wrote letters to the international community to expose their crimes.
Police from the Zhibu District of Yantai City ordered CCP spy Wang Yaoqing, to disguise himself as a practitioner and got close to Mr. Xu, under the guise of assisting Lawyer Gao Zhisheng in investigating the persecution of Falun Gong. After Wang's identity was exposed by the Clearwisdom website, the 610 Office police secretly arrested Mr. Xu on April 20 or 21. When Mr. Xu's family returned home in May, they saw that the house had been left open and was a big mess. Mr. Xu has gone missing and his current whereabouts are still unknown.
Because the CCP's criminal behavior in removing organs from
living Falun Gong practitioners has been exposed, we suspect that the
CCP will kill any witnesses in order to eliminate evidence. We call on
the international community to pay attention to the CCP's followers so
that they do not further persecute Mr. Xu and to force the CCP to
immediately release him and restore his freedom.
On February 15, 2004, Falun Gong practitioner Li Huaiye was taken by the Yaojiazhuang village authorities to Gaoyang labor camp.
On the afternoon of June 7 in Gaoyang, the police took Li Huaiye to a torture room on the east side of the building. On the floor was a board with two handcuffs on it. They handcuffed Li Huaiye's hands so that she was totally immobilized.
The policemen then used electric batons to shock her mouth. Because Li Huaiye closed her mouth tightly, the baton could not be inserted inside the mouth, and it shocked the teeth instead. Afterwards they took her socks off and stuffed them into her mouth. They put earphones on her to force her to listen to material slandering Master and Falun Gong. Then they shocked her inner thighs and went on to shock the rest of her body. Li Huaiye still called out, "Falun Dafa is good, 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance' is good," so they taped her mouth shut.
In the afternoon they took Li Huaiye to a different room. After handcuffing her to the ground, they taped two wires to the ends of her fingers and connected them to a hand-cranked torture device that generated electricity flowing into the wires. Behind her stood policewoman Liu Huili, who was holding an electric baton. Many days after she underwent the torture, Li Huaiye still suffered from pain of the internal organs, and the fingers wrapped by the wires turned black. Because her hands were fixed by the handcuffs, when she was shocked, her body involuntarily convulsed and arched upward. The handcuffs cut into the flesh, and even when the cranking stopped, she still felt excruciating pain.
Li Huaiye's father was very healthy before Li Huaiye was
persecuted. However, his health deteriorated steadily after she was
arrested. Finally in October 2005, he passed away. Just minutes before
he passed away, he still called out Li Huaiye's name. When Li Huaiye
came out of Gaoyang Labor Camp, her father had already been gone for
two months.
Thirty-four-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Song Yanqun is being severely tortured in Heizuizi Women's Prison in Changchun City (Women's Prison of Jilin Province) for her belief in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. Currently she has severe pulmonary tuberculosis and her body weight is only about 67 lbs. She is in critical condition, however, because she refuses to give up her belief, she was again tied to and stretched on the death bed. Here we are appealing to investigate this case immediately and rescue her through cooperation as a whole entity.

Song Yanqun
Ms. Song Yanqun is from Shulan City, Jilin Province. She is an English teacher from Dade Japanese-language School in Harbin City. She was illegally sentenced to twelve years of prison after the Shulan City Police Department Police abducted her on November 27, 2003. Led by Guo Wei, these police interrogated her using brutal torture. She developed pulmonary tuberculosis in Heizuizi Women's Prison in Changchun City. In May 2005, she was tied to and stretched on the death bed when the prison implemented persecution to forcibly "transform" Falun Gong practitioners. Since then, her legs have lost feeling and remain cold all day long and her right arm bones feel extremely painful. She could not even write since her hands are shaky. Her brain feels numb and cannot function normally, and her lungs feel intense pain. The pulmonary tuberculosis is rapidly worsening. The two-year torture has caused Ms. Song to become very emaciated.
Song Yanqun's parents are very worried about her situation. On May 11, her family visited her in Heizuizi Prison in Changchun City. A prison monitor and a prison guard escorted Ms. Song Yanqun. When Ms. Song saw her parents, her eyes were full of tears and she said, "Mom and dad, you both are healthy, I feel relieved."
Her parents asked, "What happened to you? Have they detained you in confinement?" Ms. Song replied, "Don't ask. They won't let me tell." At this moment the prison guard Yang said with spite, "It is not a big thing! Three or four persons took care of her every day..." After saying those words, she immediately realized she disclosed what she should not tell. The visit wasn't even ten minutes and they took her back in a hurry.
In order to brainwash Ms. Song, they completely isolated her. They used four prison monitors to watch her and force her to listen to and watch all kinds of evil lies and theories put together by the evil, without stopping for a single minute. They wanted to confuse her. Afterwards they tied her to and stretched her on the death bed. They tied her arms and legs on the bed, pulled out the bed board underneath her body, and only supported her waist on a half-inch metal tube in the middle. The rest of her body was completely in the air without any support. She was tied like this for 24 hours, even while she needed to use the bathroom.
Ms. Song has been very healthy and confident in her life. Now however, her body is almost handicapped and is exhausted inside the prison. However, the evil prison is still rampantly calling for forcible transforming by torture.
Two days before practitioner Mr. Cao Baoyu died, officials went to the hospital where he was staying and read him his "sentence." At that time Mr. Cao was so thin he was mere skin and bone. His neck was infected in many places, his blood pressure was way below normal, and he was near death.
On April 27, Mr. Cao passed away. To avoid being held responsible for the murder they had committed, the authorities released a statement saying that Mr. Cao's death was due to natural causes. They then cremated the body on May 1. They refused to allow the family members to see the body. The family members were paid 30,000 yuan as a settlement compensation for his death.
Mr. Cao Baoyu was 57 years old. He lived in Xugexhuang Village, Langfang City, Hebei Province. Because he was both virtuous and skilled, he was very famous in Langfang City in the culinary field. He was steadfast in practicing "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," and he helped many people start practicing Falun Gong. Before July 20, 1999, he was a coordinator in the area. On July 17, 1999, party members from Wuqing County Police Department stopped the bus he was riding and arrested him. They "unlawfully sentenced" him to four years in prison. In Tianjin Prison they tortured him using various methods, from beating to cursing, sleep deprivation, forcing him to sit on the small Tiger Bench, brainwashing, and other brutalities. But his dedication to the practice of Falun Gong was unshaken. Later an ulcer developed on his neck from the torture. It endangered his life and they released him. He continued to study the Falun Gong principles and practice the exercises when he returned home, and his injuries eventually completely healed.
On February 5, 2006, Mr. Cao went to the Xiangjiang City Government offices to clarify the truth and ask to have the practitioners that were still in custody set free. He was arrested. While at the Dachuang Detention Center the police beat him so severely that his teeth were loosened and he had ringing in his ears. He started a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was released on February 13. A week later, officials using the Communist Party's "two meetings" as an excuse, broke into Mr. Cao 's house around 7 a.m. on February 18. They arrested him and sent him to the Langfang Motel, Shengyan Hotel, and Langfang Detention Center.
During these two months of detention, Mr. Cao was tortured and starved. His neck was badly infected and his face swollen and red. His blood pressure was very low, and his legs were deformed from cramping and contraction. The police officials took him to the Langfang Beida Road Hospital to be force-fed, which caused internal bleeding. He had blood in his urine, and he was vomiting blood. He became incontinent, and his life was at grave risk. When his family members learned of his condition, they went to ask for his release. The police didn't release him but instead sentenced him to five years in prison. When his wife learned that his life was again at risk, she went to see him. However, they refused to let her see him. Instead, they arrested her, and sent her to a brainwashing center.
On April 27, 2006, Mr. Cao Baoyu died. His body was in dire condition from the torture he had sustained.
Mr Jiang Fengyi is a Falun Gong practitioner from Qiji Village, Yuanshang County, Laixi City, Shangdong Province. He is thirty-nine years old. In 2005 he got a job in Chengyang District, Qingdao City. He went to distribute truth clarification materials on the evening on April 27 and was arrested by the police. He was illegally sentenced to four years in prison after six months detention.
On April 29, 2005, Jiang Xun, Party Secretary of Qiji Village, Yuanshang County, Laixi City, led policemen from the Chengyang Police Substation in Qingdao City as they broke into Jiang Fengyi's home and raided the house. They confiscated Falun Gong books and Teacher's lecture tapes. His cousin, Jiang Fengxi, pressed a fingerprint on the detention notice of Jiang Fengyi for him. In his home, Jiang Xun actively cooperated with the policemen searching for Falun Gong books and cursed Jiang Fengyi's mother (but the eighty year-old mother didn't cooperate with them). Jiang Fengyi was at that time detained in the Chengyang Custodial Station.
During his detention, Jiang Fengyi's mother and sisters, who are Falun Gong practitioners as well, went to the Chengyang Police Substation and demanded his release. The doorman didn't let them in. They then went to the Chengyang Custodial Station. The policemen there didn't allow them to see him. They went back again to the Chengyang Police Substation and asked to see the director. They clarified the truth to the director and demanded that Jiang Fengyi be released unconditionally. The director didn't want to listen to the truth and threatened them, and forced them to leave. They went to the Chengyang Police Substation twice, but the police there didn't release Jiang Fengyi. They didn't even let his family see him.
According to witnesses, Jiang Fengyi suffered inhuman persecution in the Chengyang Custodial Station. They tried to make him give up practicing "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" and do hard labor. But he didn't cooperate with them. The policeman then instigated the cell leader to brutally beat him. They also made him wear handcuffs and foot shackles around the clock. Sometimes they lifted him up and hung him.
Jiang Fengyi was persecuted for nearly six months in the Chengyang Custodial Station. Then he was sentenced to four years in prison by the People's Court in Chengyang District, Qingdao City. On October 13, 2005, he was sent to the Jinan Prison. There he was severely persecuted.
Practitioners Chen Shuixian and Shi Zenying were put in a forced labor camp
Practitioners Chen Shuixian and Shi Zenying from Weishan County, the Dali District, Yunnan Province, were distributing truth clarification materials and telling people the facts about Falun Gong in a marketplace in December 2004 when someone reported them. Captain Guo Jiaxin of the National Security police team of the Weishan County Police Department, Deputy Department Manager Liu Hong, Liu Meizhi, and others went to Xieqichang in Miaojie Town, Weishan County, and arrested them, along with several other practitioners. The police interrogated them with threats, tricks, deceptions, and other schemes to no avail. Guo Jiaxin and Liu Hong sent the first two practitioners to a forced labor camp and maintains a close watch on the others.
Other practitioners that were persecuted in Weishan County
Ms. Zhang Manhua was reported by someone in July 2004 for telling people the facts about Falun Gong. The National Security police arrested her and held her for 24 hours before they let her family members bail her out. In September she was once again arrested by the National Security police and sentenced to forced labor for two years. Now she is being held and persecuted in the Dabanqiao Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp in Kunming City.
Ms. Su Huizhi, lived on Dongxin Street at Wenhuadu in Weishan County. She began her cultivation in March 1997. She was sentenced to forced labor for three years after July 20, 1999. After she went home in October 2004, she was threatened and interrogated, and her home was ransacked by agents from the county police department and the political and security directory.
Ms. Zuo Shiguang was born in Jitouzhong Village in Yongjian in Weishan County, but lived at Sanguan Temple at Chengxi in Weishan County. She began her cultivation in Falun Gong in June 1997, when she was a nun. After she learned Falun Gong, she concentrated on studying the Fa, doing exercises, spreading the truth of Falun Gong, and copying materials. She also told the facts about Falun Gong to the police and 610 Office personnel. She was arrested, sentenced to two years of forced labor and sent to the Second Yunan Provincial Forced Labor Camp at Dapingba in Lufeng County.
Ms. Du Shufen, was born in Sanjia Village in Yongli in Weishan County. She learned Falun Gong in March 1999 and organized people in her village to study Falun Gong and do the exercises. She kept on cultivating and telling people the facts about Falun Gong after July 20, 1999. She was reported by her husband and arrested by the local police and the 610 Office police and detained for 15 days.
Mr. Chen Fenggui, was born in Wuyin, Weishan County. He was arrested and detained for 15 days by the police and the 610 Office because he put up posters.
Ms. Luo Jiaqiong, born in Bajiaolou at Miaojie Town, Weishan County, was arrested and detained for 15 days by the local police and 610 Office.
Ms. Chen Shuixian, born in Miaojie Town, was arrested and sent to a forced labor camp because she was reported when she went out to distribute truth clarification materials and tell people the facts about Falun Gong.
Ms. Shi Zenying, born in Miaojie Town, was arrested and sent to a forced labor camp because she was reported when she went out to distribute Falun Gong materials and tell people the facts about Falun Gong.
1. [Beijing] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Liu Guihan Arrested
Mr. Liu Guihan, 65, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Shunyi District of Beijing. His home is at room 203, Doorway 2, Building 32, Jianxin Northern District. He is a retired worker from the No. 4 Factory of the Beijing Transportation Company. At 7:00 p.m. on May 7, 2006, Mr. Liu Guihan was taken away by two police officers from the Beijing Police Department, who colluded with four police officers from the Guangming Police Station as well as two individuals from the local CCP Residential Committee. The location where he is currently being held is unclear.
2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Ms. Min Huirong and Ms. Sun Hong Still Being Illegally Held
Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Min Huirong and Ms. Sun Hong were put through an illegal trial on April 4, 2006. The fabricated evidence was exposed by Ms. Min Huirong and her attorney. However, the court did not arrive at a verdict.
In the afternoon of the trial, police illegally interrogated Ms. Min Huirong and Ms. Sun Hong. Later, they continued to interrogate the practitioners. The two practitioners are still being illegally held.
3. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Zhao Yan Illegally Sentenced to Three Years of Imprisonment
Mr. Zhao Yan, 27, is a practitioner from Ningbo City. He is a Master's degree graduate student at Harbin Industrial University. At the end of 2005, because he was making copies of and distributing the Nine Commentaries, he and his girlfriend, who is also a Falun Gong practitioner, were arrested by the Ningbo City Police Department and held in the Ningbo City Detention Center. At the end of April 2006, without notifying his family members or his attorney, the Ningbo City Court secretly brought Mr. Zhao Yan to trial and illegally sentenced him to three years of imprisonment. His girlfriend was released on bail and is currently being monitored by police.
4. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Chen Dingwu
Mr. Chen Dingwu, 43, is a practitioner from Shantou City of Guangdong Province. On the afternoon of April 29, 2006, he was arrested in Shenzhen City. He is facing an illegal trial.
Prior to this arrest in April, Mr. Chen Dingwu had been illegally arrested and detained by police from the State Security Division of the Shenzhen City Police Department. Later he was transferred to the No. 1 Detention Center of Meilin District. Subsequently, he was transferred again to the Baoan District Detention Center. He was released after the Chinese New Year. During that period of time, the Baoan District Court put him through two illegal trials under fabricated evidence. He and his attorney brought the case to the middle level People's Court, which released him based upon the fact that the police lacked sufficient evidence.
This time, prior to the arrest of Mr. Chen Dingwu, police had gone to Mr. Chen's relatives' home in Guangzhou City to secretly investigate him. Later the police also went to his workplace in Shenzhen City to secretly investigate him in order to arrest him.
5. [Chibi City, Hubei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Liu Xiaolian Illegally Arrested Again
Ms. Liu Xiaolian, 66, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Chibi Town, Chibi City of Hubei Province. During the May 1 holiday, she was arrested by the Chibi City Government and Chibi City Police Station and was held in a Psychiatric Hospital of the Hubei U.S. Erya (Group) Co., Ltd.
6. [Jilin Province] Changchun City Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp Torturing Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Xue Xiuhua
Ms. Xue Xiuhua, in her fifties, is from Tumen City. She is currently being held illegally in the Changchun City Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp. She has been held there since April 2005 and has been suffering brutal torture.
When Ms. Xue Xiuhua was first held, she was forced to "study" every day. After being held for over twenty days, she was subjected to sleep-deprivation day and night. She was forced to write the so-called five statements. She steadfastly refused to write anything, but criminals, who helped the guards, beat her every day in order to force her to write the statements. She still refused to cooperate with the guards, who then wrote the statements for her and forced her to sign her name. She refused to sign. The criminals forced her to press her fingerprints onto the statements. The next day, she said, "I do not accept those statements that you wrote." The guards then used an electric baton to shock her. They inserted the baton into her mouth. Her entire body was covered with cuts and bruises, and she had severe edema. She could not even wear her old clothes. Even so, she was forced to stand for four days and four nights.
In December 2005, because Ms. Xue Xiuhua refused to answer the questions in a "test," she was tortured again. When the police again used an electric baton to shock her, she called out, "Falun Dafa is good." This time she lost consciousness from the beatings. In the forced labor camp, practitioners were frequently forced to write "reports" on their thoughts. She wrote something that was irrelevant to what the guards wanted. The guards tried to make her write something else. So she wrote, "Falun Gong is being defamed, Falun Gong is righteous, Falun Gong practitioners are innocent." Because of this, her detention period was extended by an additional fifty to sixty days.
7. [Shanghai City] Falun Gong Practitioners Including Ms. Zhu Xuejuan Illegally Taken Away
At around noon on May 5, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhu Xuejuan from Xuhui District of Shanghai and two fellow practitioners were reported to the police when they were clarifying the truth at the Yimaide Supermarket of Minhang District. They were illegally taken away by the Minhang District State Security Division. That night, Ms. Zhu's home was illegally ransacked. Ms. Zhu is currently being held in the Minhang District Detention Center of Shanghai. One fellow practitioner, age seventy-five, has been released.
8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Two Elderly Practitioners Released After Being Arrested
On May 11, two female elderly Falun Gong practitioners, one with the surname of Wang and the other with the surname of Shi, were illegally taken away when they were distributing truth clarification materials near the Luyuan District No. 19 Middle School of Changchun City, because they were reported to the police. That night, they were released, but the police is now monitoring them at home.
9. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Chen Weiwei Arrested by Zhucheng City Police
Ms. Chen Weiwei, in her forties, is a Falun Gong practitioner living in Haogezhuang Town of Zhucheng City. On May 10, 2006, Ms. Chen was arrested by police from Zhuchen City when she was working at the Zhucheng City Export Company.

Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Liu Yongli and his wife from Qijiayu Village, Yangliuzhuang Town of Luan County were arrested.
11. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Sun Aifeng's Home Illegally Ransacked
At 5:00 a.m. on May 10, 2006, five to six police officers waited at the door of practitioner Ms. Sun Aifeng's home and attempted to arrest her, who fortunately was not home. They waited until 7:00 a.m., and then climbed over the wall and ransacked the home. They confiscated some Falun Gong materials, 4,000 yuan in cash and two savings slips worth over ten thousand yuan. Later they went to Ms. Sun Aifeng's workplace. That afternoon, they arrested a female Falun Gong practitioner from Zhifang Village.
12. [Kashi Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region] Falun Gong Practitioners Ms. Wang Yanhong and Ms. Li Linhong Arrested and Illegally Sentenced to Imprisonment
According to Kashi Daily on April 25, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Wang Yanhong and Ms. Li Linhong from Kashi Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region were illegally sentenced to imprisonment. At the first trial, Ms. Wang Yanhong was sentenced to five years of imprisonment because she was very steadfast. Ms. Li Linhong was sentenced to three years of imprisonment.
13. [Yangtai City, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Xu Chengben's Home Illegally Ransacked and His Whereabouts Unknown
On April 21, 2006, Yantai City police drove two police cars to Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Xu Chengben's home and broke in. They spent over two hours breaking the lock. After they entered, they ransacked the house and took away all the valuables they could find. The whereabouts of Mr. Xu Chengben is not clear.
14. [Tanghai City, Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Zheng Xiufang Illegally Arrested
At 11:00 a.m. on April 24, the Tanghai County Government, the County Police Department and the Tanghai Town Police Station of Hebei Province colluded to illegally arrest Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zheng Xiufang (in her fifties) at her home. They also confiscated equipment from the truth-clarification material production site at her home. Ms. Zheng is currently being held in the Tanghai Brainwashing Center.
Those who participated in the illegal arrest of Ms. Zheng included Zhang Shun (male), who is the new Deputy Director of the Tanghai City Police Department. Zhang used to be the Director of the Jiunongchang Police Station of Tanghai City. Two years ago, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Jianrong fell off the building and broke his pelvis because of the torture at the Tanghai City Police Department. This was caused by Zhang Shun and others deceiving Mr. Liu Jianrong into coming to the police station with the excuse of "having a conversation" with him. They instead illegally sent him to the City Police Department. This time, the county government staff member Liu Xiaodong (male) also participated in the illegal arrest of Ms. Zheng Xiufang.
15. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Liu Hanchun Arrested and His Home Ransacked
At a little past 10:00 p.m. on May 9, 2006, practitioner Mr. Liu Hanchun (sixty-one years old) from the New Village of Nanshu Town of Qingdao Laixi City was arrested by patrolling police from the Nanshu Town Police Station of Laixi City, when he was out on the road. Later police drove cars to ransack his home and confiscated Falun Gong books and truth-clarification materials.
16. [Tianjin City] Five Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested
On March 7, 2006, five practitioners who were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in Sidangkou Village, Wuqing County of Tianjin City were arrested. They are: Mr. Wei Tongyun, Mr. Xu Fengyi, Ms. Cui Shuqin, Mr. Cheng Dianrong and Mr. Ren Dongsheng.
17. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Wu Yanhua Arrested
On May 4, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wu Yanhua (in her fifties) was arrested when she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong at the Science and Technology Fair in Jinan City. She was taken to the Jinan City Detention Center (and later transferred to Lichengzhonggong Town).
18. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Ms. Peng Zexiu and Ms. Shen Lieying Illegally Arrested
On May 8, 2006, practitioners Ms. Peng Zexiu and Ms. Shen Lieying from Yichang City in Hubei Province were illegally arrested by police from the Yichang City 610 Office and Police Station. They are currently held in the detention center.
19. [Hunan Province] The 302 Geological Exploration Team of Chenzhou City Torturing Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Zhou Xiaohong
Practitioner Ms. Zhou Xiaohong was a staff member of the 302 Geological Exploration Team (which belongs to the Nuclear Industrial Bureau) and an elementary school teacher. In 2001, because she refused to give up the practice of Falun Gong, she was forced to leave her job. She was released from the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp on February 28, 2006. On April 29, the Public Security Section staffs of the 302nd Geological Exploration Team, Luo Zhi (male) and Li Daijiang (male), suddenly pounced on Ms. Zhou Xiaohong, who was riding a bike and had just returned from a business trip. They pressed her down on the ground and took her handbag, forcibly searching it. Later they forcibly ransacked her home and confiscated all of the Falun Gong books and truth-clarification materials at her home. Her workplace forced her to write a guarantee statement and was ready to continue to persecute her. She was able to escape and has been forced to leave home in order to avoid being arrested.
Since February 28, 2006, when Ms. Zhou Xiaohong returned home, her workplace has refused to let her work. Furthermore, the workplace officers, the public security division as well as her neighbors were all asked to monitor her actions.
20. [Botou City, Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Mr. Wang Shuiyong and Mr. Cui Zhanxiang Arrested
Around May 8, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Wang Shuiyong and Mr. Cui Zhanxiang from Botou City in Hebei Province were clarifying the truth in Tingzihe Village. At 10:00 a.m., they were reported to the police. They were then arrested and taken to the Xixindian Township Police Station. Police also went to ransack Mr. Wang Shuiyong's home. Later both practitioners were transferred to the Botou City Detention Center. Police refused to let their family members visit. Mr. Cui Zhangxiang is a practitioner in his seventies.
21. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Mr. Zhao Yongcai and Mr. Yao Yuguo Illegally Arrested
On May 11, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Zhao Yongcai and Mr. Yao Yuguo from Shangying Town of Shulan City, both teachers, were reported to the police by their school principals Li Lin (male) and Zhao Guiyong (male). They were illegally arrested by the Shulan City State Security Division and their homes were ransacked.
22. [Shandong Province] Exposure of Crimes Committed in Wangcun Forced Labor Camp of Zibo City
I was taken to and tortured in the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp by local police. Now I am writing down what I saw and heard there.
At the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp, everything was carried out with force. Forced labor started in the morning and continued until 10:00 p.m. at night. Any newcomers were immediately surrounded by several people who had betrayed Falun Gong and who would then speak words to defame Falun Gong. The practitioners were not allowed to sleep and were monitored by guards around the clock. The practitioners were forced to sit on a bench about fifteen meters long. Some were forced to stand up as a form of punishment. After standing for an extended period of time, their feet developed edema and they could not even wear their shoes. Some practitioners were locked up alone in a room, forced to sit facing the wall, with both hands on their knees and not allowed to move, with the upper body kept stiff and straight. When the guards applied torture methods, they waited until the practitioners went out to work. They started to beat those practitioners who refused to be "transformed." Some practitioners cried out because of the severe pain; the guards then turned the television on to cover up the crying sound. Some practitioners were locked in a room for severe punishment. There, brutal torture methods were applied, such as using an electric baton to shock the vaginal region, or handcuffing both hands to an iron rod and then applying a beating. Some practitioners were tied onto a wooden board and put into a spread-eagled position, and were kept in that position for several days or even longer. Some practitioners were locked in isolation in the building at the southeast corner of the camp. From the outside, it looks like a storage unit and therefore was not very noticeable, but practitioners were locked there for several months and then their whereabouts were no longer clear. Later I heard from guards that those practitioners who refused to be "transformed" were sent to prisons out of town. The camp held practitioners from children around ten years old to people in their seventies. Practitioners were forced to write the four statements, as well as a weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-year and annual summary. All of the writings had to be related to Falun Gong.
23. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Yang Jianpo Currently Held in the City Detention Center
Practitioner Mr. Yang Jianpo from Langfang City is currently being illegally held in the Langfang City Detention Center. Every day, people from the Guangyang District Government, Guangyang District 610 Office, Guangyang District Police Department, Beimenwai Police Station and the local CCP Residential Committee and from other institutions guard him in turn. They have so far refused to release him.
When Mr. Yang's family members went to the Detention Center to look for him, they claimed, "If Yang Jianpo has any problems, it has nothing to do with our center. We only held him temporarily." According to those who know the detailed information, Mr. Yang Jianpo has already been tortured so severely that he cannot even be force-fed. He was sent to hospitals in Langfang City, but they all refused to accept him.
24. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Police from the Huangpo District State Security Division Arrested Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Liu Maimei
At 9:30 a.m. on May 11, 2006, practitioner Ms. Liu Maimei was forcibly arrested at her home by a group of five or six police officers from the Huangpo District State Security Division, who broke into her home. Her current whereabouts is unclear.
25. [Liaoyuan City] Practitioner Mr. Yang Shengwu Arrested by Police from the Police Department of Xi'an Coal Mine Machinery Plant
At a little past 8:00 p.m. on April 27, 2006, a group of police officers from the Police Department of Xi'an Coal Mine Machinery Plant of Liaoyuan City broke into practitioner Mr. Yang Shengwu's home and forcibly took Mr. Yang away. Two other practitioners with the surname of Zhao (they are mother and daughter) were arrested at the same time.
26. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Xu Guanghua Arrested
At around 12:30 a.m. on May 11, 2006, practitioner Mr. Xu Guanghua from Laizhou City in Shandong Province was arrested by Laizhou City police when he was posting Falun Gong truth-clarification materials along the road from Shahe District to Luwang District.
27. [Hebei Province] Supplementary and Corrected Information on the Persecution Facts Involving Practitioner Mr. Wang Shuiyong
Practitioner Mr. Wang Shuiyong from Nanlutun Village, Xixindian Township, Botou City in Hebei Province and practitioner Mr. Cui Zhanxiang from Liangtun Village were followed for a while by the Chief of the Xixindian Township Police Station, Li Guodong (male), the Police Chief, Zhao Youli (male), and three other police officers. They arrested the practitioners while they were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong at Tingzihe District of Xixindian Township. Their homes were ransacked and a motorcycle was stolen and is now kept in the Xixindian Township Police Station. Mr. Wang and Mr. Cui are both held in the Botou City Detention Center.
28. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Tang Baozhi and Her Daughter Chen Yao Facing an Illegal Trial
On October 26 and October 28 of 2005, practitioner Ms. Tang Baozhi and her daughter practitioner Ms. Chen Yao from Jinhua City in Zhejiang Province were arrested by police officers Li Huaming (male), Zhou Ruyi (male), Li Wenliang (male), Li Ming (male) and others, from their homes in Jinhua City and Shanghai City, respectively. They were taken to the Shimen Farm Brainwashing Center to be tortured. Later, on November 11, 2005, they were transferred to the City Detention Center, where they are being tortured. Recently, the Wucheng District Court notified their family members that Ms. Tang Baozhi and Ms. Chen Yao will be put on trial at 8:30 a.m. on May 16, 2006.

1. [Beijing] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Wang Puhua Illegally Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Puhua, who lived in Nanhudongyuan in the Wangjing, Chaoyang District, Beijing, was illegally arrested from home by officers from the Chaoyang Police Department National Security Group Mobile Group. Also participating in this arrest were agents from the Nanhu Police Department. They held Ms. Wang at the Chaoyang Detention Center for 50 days past the expiration of her term. On April 13, she was "illegally sentenced" to two years of forced labor and is now being held in Class 1, Division 10 of the Beijing Labor Reeducation Dispatch Division, located on Tuanhe Road, Beijing's Daxing District.
Ms. Wang almost lost her sight in both eyes while being held at the Chaoyang Detention Center, yet the detention center authorities never notified her family, nor did they arrange for any medical treatment for her. Her family requested many times to meet with her but their requests were denied. Her family has never received any visitation notice up until now.
2. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] 16 Practitioners Including Ms. Yang Shujun Sentenced to Prison
In late April and early May 2006, 16 practitioners were sentenced to
prison terms for from three years to 12 years.
Ms. Yang Shujun was sentenced to 12 years.

were sentenced to five years each.
Ms. Xie Shuping, Ms. Liu Fenglian, Ms. Wen Shuqin, Ms. Wang Lianbo, and
Ms. Hao Xiaoxia were each sentenced to three years.
These 13 practitioners petitioned for unconditional release.
Three
other practitioners, Ms. Xu Guirong, Mr. Li Weiling, and Mr. Zhuang
Qingxue, were each sentenced to three years in prison.
3. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Many Practitioners Arrested
On the evening of May 11, practitioners in Gongzhuling City distributed truth clarification materials in the countryside. Officers from the National Security Group of the Gongzhuling City Police Department arrested five of them. On the evening of May 12, a woman practitioner was arrested when distributing truth clarification materials.
4. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Lu Yanna Arrested Again
On April 26 and 27, 2006, head perpetrator Jiang Zemin went to the Nanshan Group in Longkou City, and the persecution against Falun Gong in Longkou City severely escalated. For a while, the police in Longkou City fanatically searched practitioners' homes and monitored them.
In the past few days, the Longkou police again arrested Ms. Lu Yanna from West Lujia Village in Xiadingjia Town. The time of the arrest is unknown. The police told her family to send her clothes and said she would be sent to prison.
Back in 2004, Longkou police arrested Ms. Lu and her husband, who were living in exile thousands of miles away from home. Ms. Lu had given birth to a baby 10 days before. This is typical of the Chinese Communist Party's heartless persecution of women and children. Longkou police, operating as the Party's pawns, were responsible for the arrests. This incident was exposed numerous times on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website. The Longkou City police sentenced Ms. Lu to three years in prison and her husband, Diao Xihui, to six years in prison. He is still being held in Jinan Prison. Because of international condemnation and great pressure, officials in Longkou City released Ms. Lu under "detention outside prison," and she was able to take care of her baby. Two years later they again arrested her to persecute her.
5. [Ezhou City, Hubei Province] Practitioners Including Mr. Wang Hanmin Illegally Tried
Ezhou City Court agents in Hubei Province held a trial at 2:30 p.m. on May 10, 2006, in an attempt to prosecute practitioners Mr. Wang Hanmin, Ms. Song Chunmei, and Huanyuan (surname unknown).
6. [Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Qicai Held at the Weifang Detention Center
At 7:00 p.m. on April 11, 2006, police officers from the Weifang Development District arrested practitioner Ms. Wang Qicai who was clarifying the truth in Nanhu Village across from Jialejia on Xinhua Road. Ms. Wang has already been held for over a month at the Weifang Detention Center.
Police officers from the Weifang Development District have arrested many practitioners in the past few months.
7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] In April 2005, Dadong District Court Officials Sentenced Practitioner Mr. Ma Huimin to Five Years in Prison
8. [Liaoning Province] Follow-up Report on Practitioner Ms. Han Shuhua from Shanzhong Village, the Ganjingzi District, Dalian City
On April 12, 2006, Yan Changzheng, head of the Haimao Police Department in the Ganjingzi District of Dalian City, and other officers led by Shen Xingqi arrested practitioner Ms. Han Shuhua and sent her to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on May 12. Ms. Han didn't pass the camp's physical exam, so the labor camp refused to accept her. She was released on medical parole.
9. [Liaoning Province] Mr. Jiang Bo Is Now Being Held in the 2nd Prison on 7 Yuxin Road, Yuhong District, Shenyang City
10. [Beijing] Practitioners Ms. Piao Lihua and Others are Held at the Shijingshan Custody Center
Practitioners Ms. Piao Lihua, Ms. Zhang Mingxia, Ms. Chen Xiurong, and Ms. Guo Yulan from Beijing have been held at the Shijingshan Custody Center for several days and have been sentenced to forced labor. They refuse to acknowledge the persecution. They have appealed and gone on a protest hunger strike.
11. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Including Mr. Li Wenda Arrested
Practitioners Mr. Li Wenda, Mr. Cai Baozhu, and Mr. Shen Yusheng from Zaoqiang County, Hengshui City, were arrested around May 10, 2006, by officers from the National Security Group of the Zaoqiang County Police Department and Chengguan Town Police Department.
12. [Hebei Province] Officers from Towns and Townships in Gucheng County Monitor and Harass and Arrest Practitioners
Between May 10 and 12, meetings were held among Party members from towns and townships in Gucheng County that specifically targeted Falun Gong and house churches. Party officials were told to monitor the two groups' activities.
At noon on May 12, police officers from Gucheng County and from the Gucheng Town Police Department in Hebei Province harassed practitioner Ms. Wu Yujun at her home in Gucheng Town and tried to ransack her home.
On the afternoon of May 12, three practitioners were arrested in Zhengkou Town, Gucheng County. Practitioner Ms. Shen Yingqin was in her mini-supermarket. The police claimed they found words written on money and demanded that Ms. Shen submit a so-called "stamp." The police ransacked Ms. Wei Xiu's home and arrested her at a fur factory after they found a book at her home. Practitioner Ms. Fang Xinzhi from Xicheng Town, Zhengkou Town, was arrested on her way to sell vegetables. Ms. Fang loudly condemned and exposed the police's unlawful conduct but was taken away. Later, the police ransacked her home. It is said they found copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
13. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Mr. Chang Lizhong Sentenced to 18 Months of Forced Labor
Around 10:00 a.m. on May 11, 2006, officers from the National Security Group colluded with Qinhuangdao Chinese Medicine Hospital and arrested practitioner Mr. Chang Lizhong. They sent him to the Baoding Forced Labor Camp and sentenced him to 18 months of forced labor. The Baoding Labor Camp authorities refused to let the family meet with him. His current condition is unknown.
14. [Hebei Province] Two Falun Gong Materials Production Sites in Yanshan County Destroyed; Practitioners Arrested
Since April 2, officers from Cangzhou Police Department and police officers from Yanshan County have destroyed two Falun Gong materials production sites in Zhongqin Village in Yanshan County and its surrounding area. Seven practitioners were sentenced to prison.
15. [Qianxi County, Hebei Province] Numerous Practitioners Including Ms. Chuai Cuijun Detained at the Yuhuzhai Township Police Department
On the evening of May 13, 2006, five practitioners including Ms. Chuai Ruijun, Ms. Wang Xiuhua, Ms. Zhang Guilan, and Ms. Zhang Baihe from Qianxi County went to Yuhuzhai Township with a driver to distribute truth clarification materials. They were arrested and detained at the Yuhuzhai Township Police Department.

On May 12, 2006, police arrested practitioner Mr. Shao Chengluo from Zhao Village, Liuting Town, Chengyang District. Afterwards police ransacked his home. On the same day police also arrested practitioners Ms. Yang Youfen and Ms. Liu Xiuzhen from Nugu Village. They ransacked Ms. Liu's home. The three practitioners are presently being held at the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City.
18. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Suling and Her Husband Arrested
At around 11:30 p.m. on May 4, 2006, officer Pang from Landi Town Government led three policemen from the town police station and Wang Xipeng, a secretary of Wangjiazhuang Village Government. They broke into practitioner Ms. Sun Suling's home. A policeman attempted to grab Master Li's picture. Mr. Wang Guangwei, Ms. Sun's husband, tried to stop him. Police then took the couple to the Landi Town Police Station. They confiscated some banners, Master's lecture CDs and exercise tapes. At 8:00 a.m. on May 5, police sent the couple and practitioner Ms. Zhang Shuying from Hebei Village, Landi Town, to Pingdu City's 610 Office for persecution.
19. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Police Arrest Practitioner Mr. Wang Xiuzhong
At around 6:00 a.m. on May 11, 2006, personnel from the Dianzi Police Station broke into the home of practitioner Mr. Wang Xiuzhong from Mawanya Village, Dianzi Town, Pingdu City, and nabbed him.

Five practitioners from Sanmenxia City, Henan Province, were sentenced. Practitioner Mr. Zheng Shuangtai was sentenced to six years of imprisonment; Mr. Ma Pingyi to five years; Mr. Wu Xuantai, five years; Ms. Li Miaofang, five years; and Ms. Shi Fendai, five years. Mr. Zheng and Mr. Wuhave been sent to Xinmi, Zhengzhou City. Mr. Ma has not been transferred due to his appeal. The circumstances regarding Ms. Li and Ms. Shi are unknown.
23. [Hubei Province] Practitioner Mr. Wu Aiping Persecuted at the Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center in Wuchang City
During the middle of April 2006, personnel from Tianmen City's 610 Office duped practitioner Mr. Wu Aiping, a Wuyang Primary School teacher in Fozishan Township, Tianmen City, to come and fill out a form in the Education Section. When he got there, agents arrested him and took him to the Wuchang City Brainwashing Center. He has been held there nearly a month, but the authorities are still not releasing him.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiuling from Changchun is in her 40s. She was illegally sentenced to Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp for a term of one year and nine months. When her term expired, it was extended more than twice. She resisted the prolonged periods of persecution. On May 6, she again began a hunger strike to protest the persecution. She has refused food and water for five or six days. Her lips are cracked and her body is very thin and frail
