1. Zhong Kai and three other Falun Gong practitioners in Bachu area, Xinjiang province disappeared after being abducted in 2005.

Mr. Zhong Kai from Xinjiang province is a Falun Gong practitioner in his thirties. He was abducted in November 2005 from an apartment he rented, and since then his whereabouts are unknown. A local fellow practitioner and her two daughters were also abducted.

2. Zou Yangbiao in Wuhan City, Hubei province is missing

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zou Yangbiao of Wuhan, born in May of 1968, was abducted sometime between August and October 2004, and has been missing ever since.

3. Chen Yuqiao in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province disappeared in 2005

Ms. Chen Yuqiao, a retired employee of the Dongfanghong Instrument Factory, disappeared around the time of the Chinese New Year in 2005.

4. Liu Shan, a college teacher at Dalian University of Foreign Language disappeared from the Dalian Reform School

Mr. Liu Shan, a university teacher of Japanese at Dalian University of Foreign Language was taken to Dalian Reform School for brainwashing at the end of 2001. He was detained in the No.2 Team since December, yet because he did not cooperate with the evildoers, he was taken elsewhere. Since then there has not been any news about him.

5. Mr. And Mrs. Li Hongcai disappeared in 2000 on their way to Beijing to appeal

Mr. And Mrs. Li Hongcai, are former workers at Mingshan Farm at Luobei County, Helongjiang Province. They later opened a repair store in Fengxiang Town, Luobei County. In 2000, the couple went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and never returned.

6. Liu Yufeng of Jinan City, Shandong province has been missing for six years

Falun Gong practitioner Liu Yufeng from Jinan went out to appeal for Falun Gong on December 19, 1999 and has been missing since. His home address: Kuihua residential area, Wenzhuang (former address: No.9 area, Wangguangzhuang residential area.) Home phone number: 86-531-87965728.

7. Zhang Long of Jingyuan County, Gansu Province disappeared in June 2000 on the way to Beijing.

Mr. Zhang Long, born in 1964, lived in Sanhe Village, Jingyuan County, Gansu Province. He disappeared in June 2000 when he went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong.

8. Xiao Fu of Lanzhou City, Gansu Province disappeared in Beijing in 2000

Xiao Fu is a cadre at the Zhongxin Instrument Factory. In 2000 Xiao Fu went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and disappeared thereafter.

9. Zhang Xiulan of Zhengzhou City, Henan Province disappeared from Tiananmen Square in 2000

Ms. Zhang Xiulan, 46, an employee of Zhengzhou Daily Chemicals Enterprise, lived in the company's residence area in Dongfeng Road. On December 23, 2000 she went to Beijing from Zhengzhou to appeal and disappeared at Tiananmen Square on December 24.

10. Four Falun Gong practitioners in Wenshang County, Shandong Province have been missing for four years.

Mr. and Mrs. Xiao Feng, in their fifties, as well as a practitioner from the Electromechanical Factory and another fellow practitioner from East-gate of Wenshang County, Shangdong Province have been missing for four years now.

1. Gong Kun disappeared from the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp

Falun Gong practitioner Gong Kun, from Nanchang County, Jiangxi Province, was a college student in Beijing. According to the Clearwisdom report in September 2005 he was detained in the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing at least until February 2003 in No.2 team, where he suffered persecution by the guards Wu Duozhi, Qin Fujun, Zhao Yinbo and others. There has been no news from him or about him since then..

2. Lu Qiqi disappeared in Shayang Forced Labor camp, Hubei province

Falun Gong practitioner Lu Qiqi, 40 years old, 1.70 m tall, was abducted to the No. 3 team, Shayang Forced Labor Camp, Hubei Province. He was brainwashed for four months, but maintained his steadfast righteous thoughts. Under his influence, several collaborators became clear-headed again, and declared that their words and deeds under forced brainwashing were null and void, thereby greatly encouraging other detained practitioners. From then on, Lu Qiqi has been missing, and his whereabouts unclear.

3. Four practitioners disappeared on their way to Beijing

Four Falun Gong practitioners, including the Ding Lei sisters from Housing Bank, and Zhang Jiang and Lu Hongjiang from the Laiyang Electricity Bureau, disappeared on their way to Beijing to appeal.

4. Sun Biao disappeared on his way to Beijing in 1999

Mr. Sun Biao, born in Jianghu, Jiangsu Province in 1951, and employed by the No.2 Water Supply Company of Huanggang City, Hubei Province, disappeared in September 1999 at the age of 48.

Sun Biao was a pure-hearted person and willingly bore the burden of hard work. Due to frequent work under water he suffered serious schistosomiasis, which was eventually cured after he started practicing Falun Gong in 1994.

On September 19, 1999, Sun Biao went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong and has been missing since that day.

After the local police station learned that Sun Biao went to Beijing, they contacted Mr. Sun's wife Tong Qiaoying to issue a penalty of 5000 yuan, and promised that they would bring him back from Beijing with that money. Tong Qiaoying did not have enough money, so she borrowed 2000 yuan and gave it to an official at the police station, who did not give her any receipt. The police never went to Beijing to find Sun Biao. In January 2006, Tong Qiaoying remarried.

 Every Falun Gong practitioner detained in Changliu Detention Center in Tonghua City has been persecuted.

At Changliu Detention Center every practitioner is forced to work over ten hours every day. The detention center director knows that forced labor is illegal, but he turns a blind eye to it. Falun Gong practitioners are provided with two meals per day: corn buns and radish soup. On Monday the bun is made with very crude flour. Daily necessities are sold there at two to three times fair market price.

In November 2004, a Falun Gong practitioner wrote a letter to the director of a detention center (whose family name is Lu) informing him of the bad situation and asking for improvement. Lu secretly goaded a female guard, Li Xinchun, into punishing the practitioner. When the practitioner protested and demanded her right to freedom of belief, Li Xinchun dragged her from the cell to the yard of the detention center and beat her. Many guards and the team leader Jiang Hong were there, but none of them tried to stop the beating. The practitioner was beaten black and blue on her face and knees.

Jiang Hongjie is the so called doctor at the Changliu Detention Center. He overcharges practitioners for medical treatments. A bottle of IV or salt water costs 100 yuan. Jiang incited inmate Jia Xiubo to force-feed Falun Gong practitioners. He also encouraged Jia to torture practitioners. When it was pointed out to Jiang that the force-feeding tube should be disinfected, Jiang said "It's clean enough to wash it with cold water. I am not afraid of being exposed." One time when the force-feeding tube was taken out of a practitioner's mouth it fell on the floor. Inmates said, "It's too dirty, throw it away." Jia Hongbo said, "Doctor Jiang would not allow it." Jiang Hongjie ordered male inmates to affix practitioners to a tiger bench for force feeding, pulling hair, grabbing their ears and squeezing practitioners' necks. Some kind hearted inmates wiped off the practitioner's throw-up. Jiang ordered them to stop doing that, "Leave the throw-up there." Jiang also went to cells to incite inmates to treat practitioners badly. With the encouragement of Jiang, Jia Xiubo added more salt when force-feeding practitioners in order to torture them. Some inmates could not eat after seeing such horrifying scenes.

 Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhou Huijuan from Liaocheng City, Shandong Province has been illegally arrested by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials multiple times. Each time she suffered severe persecution. In March 2005 she was arrested in Beijing. Agents from the 610 Office in Liaocheng City, Shandong Province detained her in the so-called "Educational Transforming Base," where she was brainwashed and persecuted. She was injected with an unknown substance, and became handicapped. To this day, she cannot walk, and has not regained her memory.

Zhou Huijuan, 29, was working in the Education Department of Wenxuan Middle School in the development district of Liaocheng City. She had traveled to Beijing to clarify the truth many times. She was arrested twice by CCP officials. On March 7, 2005, while she was shopping in a supermarket in Beijing, she was arrested and taken to a police station, where she was brutally force-fed, and passed out after a week of detention. To avoid responsibility for her condition, the Beijing police sent her to the 610 Office in her hometown.

The Liaocheng City 610 Office sent her to a brainwashing center, or "Educational Transforming Base," where she suffered further persecution. She refused to cooperate and started a hunger strike to resist the persecution and injustice. The police often stuck tubes into her nose to force-feed her. Every time she vomited intensely and suffered severe stomach bleeding. After enduring several rounds of brutal forced-feeding, her body was in critical condition. She vomited blood, and started to have cramps. She was sent to Dongchangfu, the People's Hospital, where she was injected with unknown substances. After the injection, her eyesight quickly deteriorated, her whole body felt weak, she became paralyzed, and started to lose her memory.

Ms. Zhou's parents went to the 610 Office to ask for her release. The head of 610 Office said viciously, "She cannot go home even if she dies here." After many requests he deceived them by saying she could go home as long as they wrote a pledge renouncing Falun Gong, and paid a deposit. But after they wrote the pledge and paid the deposit, the head of the 610 Office attempted to send her to the Liaocheng City Mental Hospital. Her parents firmly resisted and the persecution conspiracy didn't work.

Zhou Huijuan has been illegally detained in the brainwashing center for the past year. Now she has lost her memory and cannot walk. She can no longer live independently.

On March 20, 2006, Wang Peng and five or six other practitioners were transferred from Tiebei first detention center in Changchun to Shilin prison in Siping, Jilin Province. Wang Peng has been detained there for over one year. He did not even have a blanket.

On March 22, 2006, his family came a long way to visit him in Shilin town, bringing with them a blanket and other luggage. Wang Peng was emaciated and weak as a result of torture. His voice was low. His family was not allowed to give him the blanket that they had brought for him. The police said that Falun Gong practitioners were not allowed to accept blankets.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yu Ruilian from Hecheng Town, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province is in her fifties. Her family does not know where she is. It was reported that she was arrested when she went out to clarify the truth recently.

Ms. Yu Ruilian went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong many times since the persecution started. She was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor in 2000. During forced labor, she was cuffed and shackled yet still had to do heavy labor for 18 hours a day. After 6 months, she lost her eyesight, her legs became very weak, and she could not walk or stand well. She was refused admittance into Sanshui Labor Camp due to her poor health condition, and was released early upon her family's request.

Since February 2001, Ms. Yu Ruilian's whole family has had to abandon their home to avoid arrest. Her daughter Zhang Jin'e and her son Zhang Jinhai are both Falun Gong practitioners. Her husband does not practice but he was still forced to undergo brainwashing in a drug rehabilitation center. Her daughter Ms. Zhang Jin'e graduated from college in 1999 and found a job, but she was fired due to the persecution, and was sentenced to two years of forced labor in Beijing.

1. [Qianguo County, Jilin Province] Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xin Shirong Is Still Being Abused and Mistreated Under Persecution at the Guo County Detention Center

Persecutor Xu Biao, head of the Qianguo County Police Department's National Security Group and Wu Mingli, head of the Hongquan Township Police Station, among other lawless officials, arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xin Shirong. Between March 9 and March 21, Xin Shirong continued to hold a hunger strike at the detention center to protest the illegal detention. Her life is in danger. Her family went to Qianguo County Police Department, the detention center and Hongquan Township Police Station to request her release. Wu Mingli hid and refused to meet with them, and the police passed responsibility.

On the morning of March 21, Wu Mingli sent deathly ill Xin Shirong to the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City. The labor camp authorities refused to accept her due to her poor physical condition. She is still being held at the Qianguo County Detention Center where she is being illegally persecuted.

2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun Xiulan Is in Critical Condition at the No. 3 Detention Center

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun Xiulan suffered mistreatment and abuse for a long time during the persecution-based, illegal detention at the No. 3 Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City. She could not read Falun Gong books or do the exercises normally. She was extremely weak and her blood pressure reading was 220 and remained high for one month. She also had more than twenty conditions including heart disease, yet the detention center authorities refused to release her. During detention, Sun Xiulan was twice sent to Jinan Prison. The prison doctor who examined her was shocked and refused to admit her, which is why she is still being held at the detention center. We are worried about her health.

3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Falun Gong practitioner Jiang Yunhong on the Brink of Death due to Abuse and Mistreatment from Persecution

The family of Falun Gong practitioner Jiang Yunhong, who worked at Qingyang District Hospital and arrested and suffered persecution in Chengdu City, received a "Notice of Critical Condition." Her situation calls for urgent attention.

4. [Neijiang, Sichuan Province] Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gao Huifang on Hunger Strike for Nearly One Month After Illegal Arrest

Falun Gong practitioner Gao Huifang from Longchang County, Neijiang has been held at a mental hospital three times during the past seven years under the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong. She was injected with nerve-damaging drugs which made head swell to such an extent that her family could not recognize her. She was later sent to the Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong. After her release she lived in exile for several months. In February 2006, Gao Huifang went to Chengdu City to take care of fellow Falun Gong practitioner Liu Ying who was also once held at a mental hospital. Police arrested and took her to the Longchang Detention Center. She has been on hunger strike for nearly a month since the day of the arrest. Her situation is extremely urgent.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Zhang Wei and Mr. Lu Kaili Illegally Sentenced to Prison by Chaoyang Court

It was learned that the Chaoyang Court sentenced Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Zhang Wei, Mr. Lu Kaili, Mr. Yang Benliang and Yang Benliang's mother Cao Yuzhen to nine and thirteen years in prison, respectively. They are currently appealing the unlawful verdict, and they are still being held at the Chaoyang Detention Center.

6. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Falun Gong practitioners Hou Yunfei and Hu Zhehui Severely Abused and Mistreated Under the Persecution

On August 3, 2005, officials from the Panjin City National Security Group arrested nine Falun Gong practitioners including Hou Yunfei, Hu Zhehui (female), Xin Minduo and Bao Juncen. These four named practitioners were subjected to savage torture, and as a result cannot take care of themselves. On September 12, 2005, the Xinglongtai District Court held a secret trial during which the four practitioners were sentenced to 14 years, 15 years, 13 years and 12 years in prison.

Hu Zhehui's husband received threats after he obtained the verdict and dared not appeal for his wife. Hou Yunfei's family didn't receive the verdict until the end of September 2005. They went to different lawyers but none of them dared to take the case, fearing government reprisals. Xin Minduo and Bao Juncen's family obtained the verdict through special channels.

According to a February 10, 2006 report on the Minghui website, the Falun Gong practitioners' families did not get any information, even after they went to various people. They are anxious and worried about the practitioners. They cried on Chinese New Year's Eve because their families were broken.

We have recently learned that Hou Yunfei is now held at Jinzhou Hospital. He is skin and bones and in critical condition. Practitioner Hu Zhehui is now held in the 1st Group of the Shenyang Women's Prison.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Falun Gong practitioner Arrested at An Internet Café

At noon on Friday March 17, 2006, people saw a Falun Gong practitioner, a man around 35 years of age, taken away by three police officers while accessing Falun Gong-related websites at "Saturday Leisure Internet Café" on Weixing Road, the No. 6 Development District in Changchun City.

8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Falun Gong practitioners Xue Xinkai and Sun Shuyun from Ganjingzi District Illegally Arrested by Police

At around 7:00 a.m. on March 21, more than twenty officers from the Dalian City Police Department, Ganjingzi District Police Department and Xinzhaizi Police Department broke into the homes of Falun Gong practitioners Xue Jinfu, Sun Shuyun and Xue Xinkai in the Xinzhaizi Street Precinct in Ganjingzi District, Dalian City. They ransacked the homes. It was learned that Xue Xinkai and Sun Shuyun were arrested while Xue Jinfu left safety.

9. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Xiaodong Arrested in March 2006

On March 9, 2006, Wang Xiaodong, a Falun Gong practitioner from Huadian City was arrested. Several officers from Huadian City Police Department were the persecutors. He is currently being held at the Huadian City Detention Center.

10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Liu Mingwei and Ms. Mu Chunmei Illegally Detained at the Dalian City Development District

On March 1, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Liu Mingwei and Ms. Mu Chunmei were arrested and sent to the Dalian Development District Detention Center when they went to the Dalian Development District Hospital with their families to visit Hao Fukui, who is 70 years-old and suffering from a stroke. They are now being held at the detention center.

11. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Cao Fengmei from Longtan District Arrested

On March 20, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Cao Fengmei from the Longtan District, Jilin City was reported when distributing truth clarification materials. Officers from the Tuchengzi Police Department later arrested her. The police ransacked her home and took Falun Gong books and truth clarification materials. She has been transferred to the Longtan Police Department.

12. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Falun Gong practitioners Liu Jianhua and Others Locked up at the Changliu Detention Center

Recently, police officers in Tonghua City, Jilin Province have fanatically persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. Liu Jianhua, Ms. Zou Hongmei from Shuidong, Ms. Yu Zhen from Yayuan, and Ms. Cui Shuhua from Tonghua City are currently being held at the Changliu Detention Center.

Practitioner Liu Jianhua refused to go to the detention center. The police beat her and injured her kidneys, and they yanked out a tuft of her hair. She is presently bedridden in the detention center. Practitioner Ms. Zou Hongmei is in her 60s. She has heart disease and high blood pressure. The police savagely beat her because she refused to provide her fingerprints and be photographed.

At around 2:00 p.m. on March 20, 2006, practitioner Ms. Pan Xiaomin, in her 30s, from the Tuanjie District, Tonghua City, Jilin Province was arrested at home.

It was learned that the police went to arrest practitioners and ransack their homes according to a blacklist with about one hundred names on it, all of whom are practitioners from Tonghua City.

13. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Tang Xiaoming Savagely Beaten by Police

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Tang Xiaoming is 36 years old, from Suining City. Practitioner Ms. Yuan Bixiu is 42 years old and lives in Nanqiangjinmei Village in Suining City. She was reported when posting truth clarification materials on Fuyuan Road and was taken to the Nanqiang Police Department where the police savagely beat her.

Liu Bei and Yu Longqing who followed and reported Yuan Bixiu each received a 1,000 Yuan reward from the government.

14. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Police Arrest Falun Gong practitioner in Broad Daylight

Around March 15 and March 16, a Falun Gong practitioner was dragged into a police car near a turn-a-around in Nanqiang, Suining City, Sichuan Province. This practitioner shouted, "Falun Dafa is good! Truth Compassion Tolerance is good! I didn't do anything wrong." He has gray-white hair and carried a backpack.

15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Deqi from Wafangdian Arrested by Officers from the Lidian Town Police Station

On March 20, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Deqi from Wagfangdian, Dalian City, Liaoning Province was reported when distributing truth clarification materials. Lidian Town Police Department agents arrested him. His home was ransacked the same day, and he was sent to the Xisan Detention Center in Wafangdian City.

16. [Yi County, Hebei Province] Falun Gong practitioners Arrested, Abused and Mistreated While Doing the Exercises at Home -Belated Information

On July 18, 2005 [Chinese lunar calendar], six Falun Gong practitioners were doing the exercises at practitioner Li Yurong's home in Dongshanbei Village, Qiaotou Township, Yi County, Hebei Province. Ten persecutors broke into the home and ransacked it. The evildoers include Ding Guishan, secretary of the village Party Committee, Liu Shaoqing, deputy secretary of the village Party Committee and Liu Chunyuan, Hou Shugui, Lu tong, Zhang Jie, Jia Hongqi, Zhu Xueqiang from Qiaotou Town. They took Falun Gong books and arrested the six practitioners. They detained Ms. Li Zhirong, Ms. Hou Guidong, Ms. Dong Shuhua and Ms. Li Yurong for nine days and extorted 2,800 yuan from each practitioner. Ms. Li Aiping and Ms. Liu Chunxiang were sent to Baoding Forced Labor Camp within fifteen days of the illegal arrest.

17. [Beijing] Falun Gong practitioner Zhou Shaozhen from Shunyi Arrested

At around 7:00 p.m. on March 9, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhou Shaozhen was arrested. Persecutors were officers from the Konggang Industrial District Police Department in Konggang. It happened when she was distributing truth clarification materials in the Konggang Industrial District in Shunyi.

18. [Jingning County, Gansu Province] Information about Missing Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Chen Shuxian

A few months ago we saw the Minghui report on missing of Falun Gong practitioner Chen Shuxian. It has been verified that someone reported Ms. Chen in August 2002 while making truth-clarification materials in the Ningxia Autonomous Region. She didn't reveal any information under torture and was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. On February 18 this year her term was up, but she was taken away by the local (Jingning County of Gansu Province) police from 610 Office immediately upon release.

19. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Datong Police Persecute Local Practitioners

1. Datong police became more violent recently. They illegally searched practitioners' homes and detained practitioners. They even beat practitioners when they broke into their places.

2. While clarifying the truth in Shuozhou City and in the Ying County area in Shanxi Province, five Datong practitioners were arrested. Three of them broke free on the spot, but the other two are still held at the Ying County Police Department in Shanxi Province.

20. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Lu Fengling on Hunger Strike to Protest the Persecution in the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lu Fengling was unlawfully detained in the No. 2 Ward of the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison in Hebei Province. She has been on hunger strike for a few days to protest her illegal 10-year prison sentence.

21. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Police Arrest Two Practitioners

On the evening of March 20, 2006, Anqiu City police agents from Shandong Province drove to Zhoubian Village, Hanjia Port in Anqiu Town to harass a practitioner. They found seven or eight practitioners reading Falun Gong books together. They immediately called for more officers to arrest the practitioners. All except for two practitioners successfully escaped. Because the two nabbed practitioners would not cooperate with the evil police, their clothes were stripped off.

22. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Yang Jianpo and Other Practitioners Will be Illegally Sentenced

Officials in Langfang City, Hebei Province plan to sentence Falun Gong practitioners Yang Jianpo, Zhang Fengde and Cao Baoyu who are unlawfully detained at the Langfang City Detention Center. 23. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Cheng Chunmin Has Been Missing Since 2002

After learning the horrifying story about the Sujiatun Concentration Camp, I recalled Ms. Cheng Chunmina, a determined Falun Gong practitioner in her 40s from Langfang City. In early 2002, police agent Yan Zhen and others took her to her hometown in Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province from a brainwashing class held in the Yuecheng Hotel of Langfang City. She has not been heard from since. Because she had always conducted business in the Langfang area, she should have returned there if nothing else had happened to her. We hope that anyone who knows anything about her whereabouts will please let us know. We also hope that international human rights groups will take notice of this incident.

24. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] A Practitioner Once Held in the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison Is Missing

We have learned that Falun Gong practitioner Xiulian whose last name is unknown was sent to a secret brainwashing class a few days ago. Xiulian had been unlawfully detained at the Shijazhuang Women's Prison.

25. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] 610 Office Persecutors Hold Brainwashing Class to Persecute Falun Gong Practitioners

Since the beginning of March, 610 Office agents held a brainwashing class on the fourth floor of the "Violence Prevention Division of  Hengshui City Police Department." The police department is located at the intersection of Shengli Road and Ziqiang Street in the Taocheng District, Hengshui City, Hebei Province. An unknown number of practitioners, probably from Shenzhou City, were illegally detained there.

26. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Police Release Liu Shuzhen after Extorting Several Thousand Yuan

Falun Gong practitioner Liu Shuzhen is a Hebei Province Wuyi County Hospital employee. On the evening of March 8, 2006, a group of police broke into and unlawfully searched her home. They confiscated her Falun Gong books and transported her to a place in Hengshui City for unlawful detention. During the detention period, collabrator Xu Jie and other mentally depraved individuals, together with 610 Office personnel persecuted her. The police didn't release Ms. Liu until three days later, after extorting 3,500 yuan from her family.

27. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Zhao Junpu from Chaocheng Town, Xin County was Arrested

During lunch time of March 15, 2006, more than ten police officers from the National Security and police departments in Xin County, as well as from the Chaocheng and Xuzhuang police stations suddenly broke into Falun Gong practitioner Zhao Junpu's home. He was taking a break after a whole morning's work. They searched for any Falun Gong materials and confiscated one of Mr. Zhao's Falun Gong books. Pulling his hair, they dragged Mr. Zhao into a police car. When Mr. Zhao's wife stepped forward to stop them, they beat her too, and forcibly removed her. Now the couple is incarcerated at the Xin County Detention Center; details unknown.

28. [Beijing] Practitioners Guo Wei and Others were Again Arrested

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Guo Wei lives near Beijing Normal University. He was arrested before the CCP Twin Conferences [the National People's Congress and the Political Consultative Conference] around February 2006. There were possibly other practitioners arrested at the same time as well. A few years ago, Mr. Guo had been illegally detained in the Beijing's Qianjin Prison for several years for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to the others.

29. [Neijiang City, Sichuan Province] Three Women Practitioners were Recently Arrested

Ms. Jiang Jing is 42 years old. On March 15, she and another woman practitioner in her 20s whose last name is Sun went to the Xinglong Farm in Zizhong County to distribute truth-clarification materials. Police agent Zhang Jingxue from the Xinglong Police Station took them to the Zizhong Detention Center. On March 17, Jiang Jing was transferred to the Neijiang City Detention Center. Her 15-year-old daughter who attends first year high school classes is left unattended at home.

Ms. Lei Yinxian is 58 years old. On the morning of March 20, patrolling police arrested her while she distributed truth-clarification materials at the end of Xilin Bridge. Agents from the National Security police from the Dongxing District in Neijiang City also participated in this incident. Ms. Lei was sent for incarceration at the Dongxing District Detention Center by 6:00 p.m. that day.

Another female practitioner is still subject to persecution at the Zizhong County Detention Center for not disclosing her name and home address.

30. [Shandong Province] Police Issued Persecution Order Directly via Internal Web

Recently, the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in a city in Shandong Province has gone underground. In the past, suppression orders were issued through phone calls or meetings, and now these orders go directly to the specific police station via an internal web system without notifying the practitioner's employer or neighborhood committee.

31. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Detained at Fifteen Various Forced Labor Camps were Transferred to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp

In late 2005 a secret order was issued in Heilongjiang Province, to transfer practitioners illegally detained at fifteen forced labor camps in the province to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp. So far, practitioners detained in the Mudanjiang Forced Labor Camp, in the Bamiantong Detention Center in Muleng City, in the Qiqihar Forced Labor Camp, the Hegang Forced Labor Camp and Daqing Forced Labor Camp and at other locations have been covertly transferred. On the evening of March 18, 2006, the fifteen practitioners unlawfully detained in the Daqing Detention Center were also removed and taken to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp.

32. [Hongjiang City, Hunan Province] Practitioner Guo Qiping Leaves Detention Center with the Power of Righteous Thoughts

While walking along the street on the morning of February 17, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Guo Qiping from Hongjiang City, Hunan Province met face-to-face with Zhou Wei and Yu Huimin from the Political and Security Section of the Hongjiang City Police Department. Zhou Wei is the section head and has been very active in persecuting Falun Gong during the past seven years. They noticed a plastic bag in Ms. Guo's hand and grabbed it forcibly, to conduct a search. After finding a DVD copy of the NTDTV's Chinese New Year Global Gala, they violently attacked Ms. Guo without a word and took her to the police station. They illegally interrogated her and then went to ransack her home. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, a tape recorder, a DVD player, an MP3 player, and cell phone. After 9:00 p.m. that night, they transferred her from the police department to a detention center. Ms. Guo left the detention center  later.

33. [Beijing] Several Practitioners from Yanqing County were Recently Arrested

On March 7, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Fan Jirong from Chengguan Town and Ms. Xu Yongqin from Sihai Town in Yanqing County were arrested. On March 4, practitioners Mr. Liu Chunshu and Ms. Ma Xianling from Qianjiadian of Yanqing County were arrested.

On February 24, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Song Changyue from Shiheying Village, Chengguan Town, Yanqing County was arrested at home. On February 25, seven plain clothes police agents led by Ding Zhenhua, head of the village women's association, arrested Ms. Zuo Huiying from Xiguan Village, Chengguan Town in Yanqing County. On February 26, officials from the Qianjiadian Police Station arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lu Yulian from Hongshiwan Village, Qianjiadian Town. On February 27, police arrested Yanqing County Disease Prevention Station employee Ms. Guo Zhenying at her place.

On December 30, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. He Shuqin from Xiguan Village, Chengguan Town and Ms. Meng Xiuhua from Wuliying Village, Zhangshanying Town of Yanqing County, Beijing City were reported. They were arrested because they went to Zhangshanying Town together to tell people the truth of Falun Gong.

1. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Elderly Practitioner Ms. Li Shiling Detained

During the meetings of the People's Congress and the Political Consultative Commission, all the police at the Wudaojiang Township Police Station in Tonghua City, Jilin Province were mobilized to raid every Falun Gong practitioner's home and harass them. Recently, the police increased patrol and surveillance to arrest Falun Gong practitioners who distribute truth-clarification materials. At about 5 p.m. on March 25, they detained elderly practitioner Ms. Li Shiling, who was distributing truth-clarification materials in Tonghua City. Ms. Li had previously been under an arrest warrant and had left her home to avoid persecution. When she was interrogated, she refused to answer the police's questions. She was injured when jumping out of the window from a second-floor bathroom, and is now in a coma. She has been sent to Tonghua 206 Hospital for resuscitation.

2. [Beijing] Married Couple Fu Yong'An and Liu Xianglan Detained; Whereabouts Unknown

The married couple Mr. Fu Yong'An and Ms. Liu Xiang Lan, both 63 and from Beijing, are retirees from Qinghua University of Beijing's Haidian District. They were detained on March 19, 2006, at their home. There whereabouts remain unknown.

On March 19, several policemen from the Beijing City Police Department used the excuse of collecting "evidence" to confiscate Fu and Liu's computer and illegally arrested both of them.

3. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioners Li Yanlan and Liu Cuizhi on Hunger Strike at Shijiatao Detention Center

On the evening of March 21, 2006, a group of people including Feng Zhenjie from Chaoyang City's Guangming Police Station abducted two Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Li Yanlan and Ms. Chen Cuizhi. Ms. Li is almost 70 years old, and Ms. Cheng is 44 years old. Feng twisted and injured Ms. Li's wrist at the scene, and she still has bruises on her wrist now. After an interrogation, the police detained the two practitioners at the Shijiatao Detention Center. The practitioners have been on a hunger strike for six or seven days to protest the illegal detention, but the police still refuse to let them go. On March 22, the police from Guangming Station and the City's National Security Team broke into and raided the practitioners' homes.

4. [Yitong County, Jilin Province] Practitioner Zheng Jianying Abducted and Lin Yazhi's Home Raided

At about 9 p.m. on March 26, 2006, several policemen from Yitong County climbed over a wall and broke into Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zheng Jianying's home. They confiscated the book Zhuan Falun and some truth-clarification material, and took her away by force. They also raided Ms. Lin Yazhi's Home.

5. [Anshan, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners, Including Su Yujie, Jailed in the Third Detention Center

After a video on the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was successfully aired in Haicheng, Anshan City Police were infuriated and planned to take revenge. The substations took photos and fingerprints of Falun Gong practitioners, harassed them, and threatened the family members of practitioners who had left home to escape the persecution. Several material centers were destroyed and a number of practitioners were arrested.

At about 7 p.m. on March 4, 2006, police from the Anshan City Lishan District Police Department forcefully took Mr. Sun Yujie, a practitioner from Anshan, from his home and detained him at the Third Detention Center. He did not even have time to put his shoes on. Mr. Sun is currently on a hunger strike and is very weak. He was chained to an iron fence every day. He was sent to the Masanjia Labor Camp, but the labor camp would not accept him. Now there are several Falun Gong practitioners at the Third Detention Center.

6. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Su Liwen Sent to Dalian Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Sun Liwen, a 34-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Dalian City, was arrested in July 2005 for practicing Falun Gong after being followed. Dalian City National Security Team, including Chen Xin, conducted the illegal arrest. After seven months of detention at Yaojia Detention Center, Mr. Sun was sent to Dalian Forced Labor Camp just before the Chinese New Year. When Sun's family members spoke with a team leader of the Eighth Team at the labor camp, the team leader said Sun's family could not visit him until he renounced his belief in Falun Gong.

7. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Parents of Falun Gong practitioner Tian Yunhai Dismissed by Dalian Officials in Rescue Attempt

Mr. Tian Yunhai was arrested in July 2005 in Dalian. On March 17, 2006, his parents came from Jilin Province to look for him. They learned that in February 2006, he had been put on a show trial at the Ganjingzi District Court, and no decision was made.

Neither the Dalian National Security Team nor the Ganjingzi District Court would give Tian's parents any information. Chen Jing, Director of the Criminal Division of Ganjingzi District Court, told them directly that if they came again, no one would talk to them.

Judge Wang Lijuan did not give the parents any information but tried to dismiss them. She refused to listen to Falun Gong practitioners' truth clarification. Wang Jian, Public Prosecutor for the Ganjingzi District Procuratorate, refused to meet with Tian's parents, saying that he was no longer involved in the issue and could not remember anything about it.

9. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Jiao Meishan, Who Left Home to Escape Persecution, Was Abducted by Xinhua District Police Department in Shijiazhuang

On March 3, 2006, Clearwisdom.net reported that police from the Xinhua District Police Department waited at the home of Ms. Bai Caiping, a Falun Gong practitioner, and arrested two other practitioners. Additional information is now available. One of the practitioners was surnamed An. At about 5 p.m. on March 3, Deng Fang from the city's 610 Office, and police from the Xinhua District Police Department, Lianmeng Street Police Station, and Chang'An District Police Department forced Mr. An to go back to his family's home in his hometown. Ms. Jiao Meishan, a Falun Gong practitioner who had left home to escape persecution, was staying there. She was abducted and detained at the Second Detention Center. The police also confiscated two all-in-one printers, supplies, and copies of the Nine Commentaries. The loss exceeded 10,000 yuan.

10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Facts about the Persecution of Wang Ruide and Others

Mr. Liang, a Falun Gong practitioner from Huludu, Nanliu Township, Fangzi District, Weifang City, approximately 30 years old, was abducted by the police from his home at about 10 a.m. on February 28, 2006.

Sources said that the police pushed his head to the ground. The skin on his face was torn due to abrasion with the sandy ground. There was almost no undamaged skin left on his face. When he was taken away, he was wearing nothing but long johns. Eyewitnesses said that the scene was quite brutal. It had just snowed earlier that day. Now his whereabouts are unknown.

In October 2005, several policemen raided Liang's home and confiscated some Falun Gong books. Liang was not home at the time. The police came again some time later but again he was not home. The police told his parents, who are not practitioners, to inform the police when Liang returned home.

Mr. Wang Ruide, a Falun Gong practitioner from Bozhuang Villge, Mucun Township, Fangzi District, Weifang City, was abducted at sunset on March 24, 2006 as he went home after selling bricks. It was said that he was reported by someone when clarifying the truth at the Zhulizhen Market in Hanting District.

11. [Beijing] Practitioner Qiu Shuqin Abducted, Her Home Raided, and Her Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Qiu Shuqin, a Falun Gong practitioner from Beijing, was abducted from her home on February 28, 2006 by police from the Fengtai District Police Department. Her home was raided. Her family has not been told of her whereabouts.

12. [Tangshan, Hebei Province] Police Raided the Home of Falun Gong practitioner Cao Yurong

On March 23, 2006, several policemen broke into the home of Ms. Cao Yurong, took away her computer and materials including the Nine Commentaries. When her family member warned the police that it was against the law to break into a private residence without a warrant, the police said that they have been given orders that no documentation is needed to search the homes of Falun Gong practitioners. If they find any evidence (Falun Gong-related materials), they can make arrests. At the time of the raid, only Ms. Cao's elderly mother-in-law was home. Now the police from the National Security Team of Lunan District Police Department are searching for Ms. Cao.

13. [Beijing] Practitioners in Puhuangyu Region Arrested

Last week, some Falun Gong practitioners in the Puhuanghua region in Beijing, including Ms. Ren (68 years old), the former assistant in charge of Tiantan Assistance Center at the Temple of Heaven, Ms. Wang Yuqing (62 years old) and another practitioner were arrested.

15. [Tianjin City] Tianjin Women's Forced Labor Camp Attempts to Further Persecute Practitioner Ms. Yang Jinsuo

In April 2004, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yang Jinsuo from Dagang District, Tianjin City was arrested again. She was sentenced to two years of imprisonment in a forced labor camp. She was imprisoned in Tianjin Women Forced Labor Camp (the former Banqiao Women Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin City). She was to be released on April 10, this year. On April 26, when Ms. Yang's family members went to the forced labor camp and asked for her release, the labor camp attempted to extend her term for four months instead of releasing her, with the excuse that Ms. Yang refused to wear the prison uniforms and refused to attend the evil party's flag-raising ceremony.

16. [Qi County, Henan Province] Practitioners Chen Wenqing and Yao Yinhua Arrested

In the early morning of March 27, 2006, police arrested Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Chen Wenqing and Mr. Yao Yinhua, and confiscated their Falun Gong materials and copy machines.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Huang Tuqi from Jining City, Shandong Province, 53 years old, was arrested from her home on March 21, 2006.

18. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhang Hemin Arrested by Xinji Town Police Station in Changli County

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Hemin from Taoyuan Village, Xinji Town, Changli County was arrested by Xinji Town Police Station on March 9, 2006 while he was distributing truth-clarification materials in Daji, Xinji Town. He is currently detained in Changli County Detention Center.

19. [Donghai County, Jiangsu Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Yamin Sentenced

Ms. Wang Yamin is an employee in Donghai County Animal Clinic in, Jiangsu Province. She was detained in a forced labor camp for one and a half years in 2001 for practicing Falun Gong and distributing truth-clarification materials. On October 23, 2005, while she was working, the local police arrested her and detained her in the detention center. About 40 days later, the 610 Office arrested her. Ms. Wang refused to sign their documents, and the illegal trial scheduled on December 20, 2005 failed due to lack of "evidence." After the trial was delayed, the police attempted to extort confessions from her many times. She was deprived of sleep for 8 days. Ms. Wang suffered a mental collapse from the torture and could no longer take care of herself. During her detention, Wang Fang repeatedly beat her and she was often black and blue.

On March 22, 2006, Ms. Wang's husband went to visit her in the detention center. However, he was told that the 610 Office had sentenced her to four years of imprisonment and transferred her to another place a long time ago. He later learned from an attorney that Ms. Wang was secretly transferred to a place located at 63 East Nantong Road in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province.

20. [Yidu City, Hubei Province] Elderly Ms. Pei Zhiren Arrested from Her Home

On March 22, 2005, three organizations including the local 610 Office in Yidu City, Hubei Province, the National Security Group, and the Gaobazhou Town Police Station broke into the home of Ms. Pei Zhiren who was in her 60s, and arrested her.

21 [Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Yuejian, Lecturer for the Math Department at Jilin University, Arrested

Mr. Wang Yuejian, about 35 years old, is a lecturer in the Math Department at Jilin University. Around 12 p.m. on March 17, 2006, he was browsing Falun Gong websites in an internet café called "Saturday Casual Internet Café" located at Weixing Road in the 6th district of Changchun City Open Economic Zone. Three policemen arrested him. Mr. Wang is detained in the Third Detention Center in Changchun City, Jilin Province.

22 [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] The Family of Dou Zhenyang and Wang Guoying Persecuted

The First Section of Fushun City Police Department framed a case of "train derailment" against Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Dou Zhenyang and sentenced him to life-time imprisonment. Mr. Dou's brother-in-law Mr. Wang Hongjun was sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment and is imprisoned in Fushun Second Prison. Mr. Dou's wife, Ms. Wang Guoying refused to give up her belief in Falun Gong. Around 8 p.m. on January 12, 2005, over a dozen policemen from The First Section of the police departmentbroke into her theft-proof gate and arrested Ms. Wang. In June 2005, Ms. Wang was sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment. Ms. Wang's sister-in-law was sentenced to 3-year imprisonment for clarifying the truth, and is being persecuted in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

Mr. Dou Zhouyang and Ms. Wang Guoying have a son. The grandfather who suffers from hemiplegia is left to take care of him, and they live a miserable life.

23. [Lishu County, Jilin Province] Zhang Guo, Liu Lianmin and Other Policemen in Guojiadian Town Persecuted Falun Gong practitioners

Policemen Zhang Guo, Liu Lianmin, and another surnamed Wang from the Guojiadian Town Police Station in Lishu County, Jilin Province, arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yang Junsheng from his workplace, the Bajiazi Small Farm Tool Factory in Guojiadian Town. They also harassed his family repeatedly.

24. [Beijing] Contents Slandering Falun Gong in the Standard Experimental Textbooks

In the "Personal Character and Society" (sixth grade, vol. 2) which is the compulsory education curriculum standard experimental textbook as approved by the National Elementary and Middle School Textbooks Examination and Approval Committee in the first trial in 2005, there are contents slandering Falun Gong.

25. [Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province] Practitioner Chang Lizhong Released on Bail

Around 3 p.m. on March 10, 2006, Mr. Chang Lizhong was arrested at Wenming Lane, Haigang District, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. He went on a hunger strike to protest against it. He was released on bail on Tuesday, March 21, 2006. He is very weak now.

Mr. Chang is a doctor in Radioactive Department in Chinese Medical Hospital in Qinhuangdao City. He was resting at home in the afternoon of March 10, 2006 after a night shift. He received a phone call from the manager in the hospital who told him to go to the hospital. Police from the first section of Haigang Police Station in Qinghuangdao City had been waiting for him outside his residence for a long time. When he went downstairs, they arrested him and ransacked his home. Later he was detained in the First Detention Center in Qinhuangdao City.

26. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Huang Chaohui Detained in Liu'an City Detention Center

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Huang Chaohui from Hefei City, Anhui Province, was born on January 4, 1974. He graduated from college and was a pharmacist. He started to practice Falun Gong in 1997. Mr. Huang managed a Xerox store.

On October 30, 2005, police in Liu'an City arrested Mr. Huang and detained him in the Liu'an City Detention Center. Mr. Huang persisted in his belief and has been mercilessly persecuted.

Mr. Huang's wife and his infant son live a miserable life. We hope all righteous people around the world pay attention to his case.

27. [Yingyang City, Henan Province] Practitioner Mr. Ping Chunwang Detained

Around 5 p.m. on March 24, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ping Chunwang from Yingyang City, Henan Province was arrested by the Political Security Office of Yingyang City Police Departmenton his way back home after working in the fields. The police also searched his home and forcibly took away Falun Gong books, Teacher's pictures and some other materials. Mr. Ping's family went to the police departmentthe next day to request his release. However, they were told that Mr. Wang was detained at Dongguan Detention Center, and would not be released for another ten days.

28. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ms. Li Guangqiong Arrested

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Guangqiong from Longquan District, Chengdu City, lived in the dormitory of the Telecommunications Bureau in Longquan District. In late February 2006, she clarified the truth about Falun Gong in Xinjin County and was arrested by the local police station. She was detained for about 15 days. 29. [Haozhou City, Anhui Province] Liu Ping, Wang Ping and Other Practitioners Arrested

In mid February 2006, Ms. Liu Ping, Ms. Wang Ling and three other Falun Gong practitioners in Huatuo Town of Haozhou City in Anhui Province were arrested. Their current whereabouts is unknown.

30. [Chongqing City] Police Attempt to Prosecute Practitioner Zhang Quanliang

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Quanliang in Chongqing City was arrested on December 7, 2006. He was first detained at the Shangqing Temple Police Station and was handcuffed for six days. Later, he was tortured by the Yuzhong District National Security team for three days and detained at the detention center. The police fed him with mind-altering drugs and Zhang unconsciously admitted things he did for validating Falun Gong. The police then seized the excuse and filed a lawsuit at Yuzhong District Prosecutor against Zhang, in attempt to sentence and escalate the persecution of Zhang.

31. [Wanyuan City, Sichuan Province] Policemen Arrested Practitioners Fu Yuefen and Wang Ganzhen

On March 25, 2006, policemen of Wanyuan City Police Station of Sichuan Province colluded with policemen of Wanyuan City Railroad Police Station and arrested Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Fu Yuefen and Ms. Wang Ganzheng. They also harassed other Falun Gong practitioners. Policemen who were involved in this arrest include Wang Qiang and Yu Xudong, leader of the Wangyuan City Police Station Nation Security Team.

32. [Pingyuan County, Shandong Province] Practitioners Zhang Hongxiu and Du Donghua Arrested

On the afternoon of March 25, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Zhang Hongxiu and Ms. Du Donghua were arrested by the National Security Team while clarifying the facts and distributing Falun Gong truth clarification materials. They were later transferred to the detention center. Earlier on the same day, policemen raided their home, trying in vain to catch them, because they were not home.

34. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] He Jineng and Other Practitioners Arrested

At around 8.30 p.m. on March 21, 2006, Yantai City Mouping District National Security colluded with the Mouping District Wuning Town Police Station to dispatch more than ten policemen, who, with the guidance of two villagers, rushed into Falun Gong practitioner Mr. He Jineng's home and forcibly arrested Mr. He Jineng, Ms. Yan Chengfen, Ms. Zhang Zhilan, Ms. Du Xianling, Ms. Li Lanhua and Ms. Zhou Shurong. The policemen later rushed into the other practitioners' homes and ransacked their homes.

Zhou Shurong has been released home due to high blood pressure and because he was on the verge of death. All the other detained practitioners were transferred the Mouping Detention Center.

35. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Dulan District Prison Persecutes Practitioner Tang Jinghui

Heilongjiang Province Daqing City Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Tang Jinghui was detained at the Second Team of the Ninth Ward in Hulan District Prison. On March 18, 2006, he was brutally beaten by prison guards Zheng Hua and Nie Xianzhong for practicing the exercises. Nie then ordered criminals to beat Tang. To protest the illegal persecution, Tang has been on a hunger strike since March 18.

36. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Additional Information about Practitioner Dai Zhengping's Illegal Arrest

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Dai Zhengping, who lived in Room No. 17, Unit 2, Building 3, 8 Jiaogui Street of Chengdu City, was arrested from her home on the afternoon of March 6, 2006. Five other practitioners, visiting from other regions, were also arrested. They were Ms. Guan Guozhi (Nan County of Hunan Province), Ms. Li Kaiyou (Hengyang City of Hunan Province), Ms. Liu Yangzhen (Hengyang City of Hunan Province), Ms. Hou Chunlian (Zhaoyuan City of Shandong Province) and Mr. Fan Yukun (Changchun City). It was said that the security guard reported on Mr. Dai when he brought several practitioners home.

37. [Puning City, Guangdong Province] Elderly Practitioner Jiang Huichan Faces Illegal Trial

Seventy-three-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jiang Huichan from Puning City of Guangdong Province was arrested by Chengxi Police station when she was clarifying the facts at a local market on February 21, 2006. She was sent to Puning City Detention Center and went on a hunger strike in protest. The detention center only informed Jiang's family three days later, when Jiang was diagnosed with severe illness, that they should take her home on "bail."

Puning Police Station colluded with Chengxi Police Station and the Prosecutor ordered Ms. Jiang to go to Chengxi Police Station and the Prosecutor for interrogation.

On the morning of March 24, the court called Ms. Jiang and ordered her to go to court. When she arrived at the courtroom in the afternoon, the court issued the so-called "arrest warrant" and sent her to the detention center once again. The detention center refused to accept her due to the results of her previous physical exam, and told Jiang's family to take her home. But the court still claimed that they would retry this case on April 3.

During the past few years, Jiang Huichan was arrested twice before and detained for five months and one month respectively.

38. [Gansu Province] Practitioners Currently Detained at Dashaping Prison of Lanzhou City

The following practitioners are currently detained at Dashaping Prison of Lanzhou City: Sun Zhaohai, Wei Xingzhu, Zhang Guangli, Li Wenming, An Jiheng, Wang Yanwen, Yu Youwen, Jin Jilin, Jin Faming, Wang Yinghe, Lu Gewei and Jiang Chunfu.

39. [Cheng'an County, Hebei Province] 610 Office Publishes Tabloid Newspaper to Slander Falun Gong

The head of the 610 Office in Cheng'an County of Hebei Province, Zhang Zhenlin, and his followers Yang Yong, Wu Honghai and Zhang Zhentao, as well as Song Hongjing from the County Cultural Museum have been publishing a tabloid newspaper called "Qing Feng" to slander and defame Falun Gong in attempt to deceive the residents.

40. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Practitioenr Li Xiuzhi Arrested

On March 24, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Xiuzhi from Pingdingshan City, Henan Province was arrested while she was clarifying the facts in Ye County of the same city.

41. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioners Xiong Hanlian, Zhang Chunmei, Zhang Qiong and Zhang Arrested by CCP Spies from the Yangyuan Street Local Affairs Office

At around 9 a.m. on the morning of March 24, Wuhan Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Xiong Hanlian, Ms. Zhang Chunmei, Ms. Zhangqiong and another practitioner surnamed Zhang were arrested near Wuchang District Siyuan Kindergarten. According to an eyewitness, several strong men crashed in. Two men grabbed each practitioner and forcibly arrested them. The current whereabouts of these practitioners are unknown.

According to inside sources, the people involved in the arrest are spies working for the Yangyuan Street Local Affairs Office. They had been following the practitioners for quite some time.
