Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhou Yongliang, 51, lived in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. On April 28, 2002, he was arrested from his home by policemen from the Songjiang Station, and illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor. He was tortured with fire and deprived of sleep in the Xigemu Labor Camp in Jiamusi City. When he was released on April 28, 2004, he was very pale, his legs felt numb and icy cold, and he had difficulty breathing. Police from the Songjiang Station came to his home twice to harass him. They threatened him and asked if he still practiced Falun Gong. He became very tense, weaker and weaker, and died on January 6, 2006.

Below are some of the witnesses' testimonies about how Mr. Zhou Yongliang was tortured in Jiamusi Labor Camp.

In November 2002, the camp held a brainwashing session. Guard Guo Gang directed prisoner Du Hongjun (male, employee of Jiamusi City Chinese Herb Medicine Factory) and prisoner Wang Hongwei (male) to force Mr. Zhou Yongliang to sit on a hard edged plastic stool. When Mr. Zhou refused, Wang Hongwei and Du Hongjun punched and kicked Mr. Zhou, and did not allow him to use the toilet.

In June 2003, guard Ge Hongbo (male) put on boxing gloves and used Mr. Zhou Yongliang as a punching bag.

Once Mr. Zhou Yongliang was forced to go through a brainwashing session while both hands were cuffed to the legs of the bed and he was forced to sit on a hard edged plastic stool; he was only allowed to sleep for 2-3 hours per day. Mr. Zhou was tortured like this for several days until he passed out. The camp doctor asked how long per day they had forced him to sit on the stool, and Guard Guo Gang lied and said, "Not long."

While forced to sit on the torture stool, prisoner Cheng Yu (male, employee of Tangyuan Grain Storage) burned Mr. Zhou's face with a cigarette lighter. He first made the lighter burn until it was very hot, and then pressed it against Mr. Zhou's face, causing many scars to form. He also electrically shocked Mr. Zhou and pinched his nose and ears with metal clippers. He also pulled Mr. Zhou's mustache out hair by hair, causing extreme pain.

Guards He Qiang, Wang Xin, Yu Wenbin, Hong Wei, Liu Hongguang, and Guo Gang have been inhumanely torturing Falun Gong practitioners. They mainly used "hanging up (1) with hands cuffed behind the back, hanging up in the air (2), pouring on cold water, putting on the dead person's bed, electric baton shocks, nail piercing into flesh, sleep deprivation, sitting on a small ridged stool for a long time, beating, and extra heavy labor.

We have learned that more than ten Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured to death in the Jiamusi Labor Camp. They are Ms. Tang Hong, Ms. Fang Cuifang, Ms. Yin Ling, Ms. Wu Lingxia, Ms. Zhao Fulan, Ms. Men Xiaohua, Ms. Wang Shujun, Ms. Wang Dongxia, Mr. Zhao Changming, Mr. Wu Chunlong, Mr. Zhou Yongliang, and Mr. Bi Jiaxin.

(1) With both hands cuffed behind the back, both feet off or only toes touching the ground, one is hung onto the basketball support or house beam from one's handcuffs. Both hands and arms will soon lose sensory perception. In addition, both hands will go dead from lack of blood circulation. See illustration on /emh/articles/2004/8/31/51910.html.

(2) Practitioners' hands are tied with thin ropes and then they are hung up for several hours, or even several days. Sometimes, the rope is so tight it breaks; and sometimes the rope cuts into the flesh. Some practitioners lose consciousness while being hung up. (3) The four limbs of the practitioner are stretched out and tied to the four corners of an icy-cold metal bed. The practitioner cannot move at all, nor is he allowed to get up to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. This treatment would last from several hours up to more than a dozen days. Falun Gong practitioner Wang Jun from Jiamusi City was arrested, and his whereabouts are unknown. Since the Sujiatun Concentration Camp was exposed internationally, his family is extremely worried about his plight. His parents, wife, and child went to the Jiamusi City Police Department to visit Chen Wanyou, a police official, and inquired about him. Since then, they have been followed.

Chen Wanyou told them that the case of Wang Jun has been handed over to the Procuratorate. Chen Wanyou and Zhang Donghui also mentioned that Wang Jun's home must be searched. When Wang Jun's family refused, the police officers threatened to arrest Wang Jun's wife.

When Wang Jun came home from the detention center the last time, he refused to cooperate with the police. Chen Wanyou made many copies of Wang Jun's photo on file, distributed them to the police stations in Jiamusi City and asked police officers to arrest him. A police officer rode in Wang Jun's taxi, recognized him and arrested him.

When Wang Jun's wife left the Police Department with her young daughter, she noticed a man following them from a distance. When she confronted him and asked him why he was following her, he denied it at first. Soon after, he acknowledged that it was Chen Wanyou's idea and that Chen had dispatched others, as well.

Mr. Li Tibo has been detained at the Beijiao Prison (Hebei Province's 4th Prison) in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, since 2002 because he practices Falun Gong and does not give up his belief.

The day after Mr. Li Tibo was sent to prison, he was diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis and was hospitalized. Because the inmates there were ordered to watch him at all the times, Mr. Li almost had no chance to study the Fa and do the exercises. Therefore his physical condition was not stable.

On June 2, 2003, Doctor Feng led several prisoners to rush into the ward and to force Li Tibo to take medicine. Mr. Li said he did not need medicine as long as he could practice Falun Gong normally. They took him to the nurse's office and Doctor Feng left the room. The seven or eight prisoners surrounded Mr. Li, beat him, and kicked his chest and back. He was in so much pain that he fell to the ground and curled up in a ball. Finally, they pressed him down and injected him.

In September 2003, the prison started a so-called "Assistance-Through-Reeducation Campaign" to transform Falun Gong practitioners. On September 26, Guard Yue Yuhai led several persons to the hospital and tried to brainwash and "transform" Mr. Li. Every day they forced him to sit on a ridged stool and only allowed him to sleep for two hours. Five or six days later, he was not able to endure the torture and in desperation, slammed his head against the wall. (Note: Acts of self-destruction are against the teachings of Falun Gong under any circumstances. That a steadfast practitioner would resort to such measures only underscores the brutality and viciousness of the persecution and the persecutors.) As a result, the guard whipped him with a rubber tube and handcuffed and shackled him.

In order to force him to write the Four Statements (similar to the Three Statements), on the tenth day, under the guard's command, prisoners Yang Yanqun and Qi Zhenyun whipped Mr. Li's lower legs with a bamboo stick, stomped the shackles on his feet, and stabbed his index finger with needles. Later on, his fingernail fell off and blood stained his clothes. There were even bloody spots on his back. Finally, the three-foot-long bamboo stick broke. Mr. Li's lower legs and thighs swelled. The skin turned black. He was not able to stand for seven days and could not walk normally for three months.

The guards always try to force Falun Gong practitioners to write the Four Statements with very brutal means. Behind every such "Statement" lies a bloody, inhuman farce. All these outrages in broad daylight are directly related to the cruelty and viciousness perpetrated by the CCP.

Jilin City Falun Gong practitioners Jianguo Wang and Qiumei Zhao (husband and wife) were searched illegally at home. Officers from the Nanjing Police Station in Chuanying District arrested them on March 2, 2006. The unlawful police search resulted in about 30,000 yuan in losses of personal belongings and cash. A family member went to the police station and asked for the money back, but the police officers' were very rude. One of them yelled, "We won't talk to you! Go away immediately! You can go wherever you like to try to sue us!"

On March 10, 2006, when the couple's family went to the Nanjing Police Station again to ask about the arrested couple and present a list of the stolen items that they wished returned, police officer Xinqing Tan who handles the case said, "We only need to give the list of items to Jianguo Wang. One person seeing it is enough. We don't need to give anything back to you." The police claimed that the "items" would be used as "evidence" for prosecution against the couple. When the family members asked for their money back a policeman said sarcastically, "I don't know. How did you know about this incident so quickly?"

After Nanjing Police Station agents arrested Jianguo Wang, they extorted a confession under torture, seriously injuring his face and arm. It is suspected that they broke his arm, or some other bone, otherwise they would not have gone to the hospital to obtain a fake certificate. In order to avoid responsibility for their criminal acts, an agent from the Nanjing Police Station went to the city's central hospital to obtain a false medical record for Jianguo Wang. The false medical record states: "Jianguo Wang damaged his face and arm when he jumped from a second floor window." But this false medical record was far from the reality, and was full of loopholes. When his family members went to the police station and asked for the couple's release, officer Xinqiang Tan changed his statement. He said, "Jianguo Wang did not fall from the second floor and hurt himself; he fell while running and damaged his face and arm."

On March 10, policeman Bin Fu from Hadawan Station led a group of officers and drove in three vehicles to Jianguo Wang's father's home. They wanted to arrest his father, Shusen Wang, because they were afraid that he would appeal for Falun Gong. Even though the door was locked and no one was at home, they broke the door down and recklessly searched his home and property.

Jianguo Wang and his wife are currently detained at Jilin City's Number One Detention Center in violation of the Chinese constitution.

Two key persons who are in charge of persecuting the Jianguo Wang and his wife: Xinqiang Tan and Kai Wang.

Ms. Wang Wanzhen, a practitioner in her thirties, lived in Changbai County of Baishan City, Jilin Province. She started practicing Falun Gong in the summer of 1998. Before she started practicing, she was suffering from serious pulmonary tuberculosis. The first time she came to the Fa-studying site, her husband carried her there. Soon after learning the practice, her health recovered rapidly. In December 2000, she went to Beijing, appealing for justice for Falun Gong, clarifying the truth and validating Falun Gong. She was subsequently arrested and imprisoned illegally by the CCP. Due to the abuse she suffered, she became extremely weak and her illnesses relapsed. She died at the end of March 2001, after her family was called to take her home.

Ms. Ren Fengying, a 75-year-old practitioner, lived in Dianzi Village of Guan County, Liao City, Shandong Province. Before she practiced Falun Gong, she suffered from several kinds of illnesses. After she began practicing Falun Gong, all of her diseases disappeared. She constantly told people that she met, "It is Falun Gong that saved my life and gave me a second chance." She lived with her daughter in Dongdangpu village at the time. Her daughter Zhao Gaizhen and son-in-law Dong Xinhai are also Falun Gong practitioners. Since July 20, 1999, they have all been harassed many times by the CCP, and the financial losses they have suffered amount to more than 150,000 yuan. Mr. Dong Xinhai has also been detained twice in labor camps. Currently, he is still imprisoned and suffering persecution in the Wang Village Labor Camp.

On September 15, 2004, the leader of the Guan County 610 Office, Feng Shuhe and Village Branch Secretary Dong Xuegang, leading seven to eight individuals, broke into Mrs. Zhao Gaizhen and Mr. Dong Hsinhai's home while they were not there. The policemen smashed the cabinets and ransacked them. They stole all of the couple's money that was set aside for raising chickens. The police also intimidated and threatened Ms. Ren Fengying, to the point where she collapsed on the spot. After that incident, she remained bedridden and passed away on November 7, 2004.

Ms. Liang Wencai, a practitioner that is about 64 years old, lived in Shanhe City of Hebei Province. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. Her stubborn illnesses and her psoriasis, which she had been suffering from for years, disappeared without a trace after reading Zhuan Falun for ten days. Her eyes, which originally could not see clearly until the evening, recovered full functionality without any medical treatment. In June of 2001, she was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying flyers and taken to a detention center. There she was persecuted for three days by the Xiangheshuyang police. Under the CCP's long-term persecution, Ms. Liang was unable to study the Fa and routinely do the exercises. She passed away in October of 2003.

Ms. Liu Cuiying, 64 years old, lived in the Reed Field of Nanzhou, Yueshan District of Yueyang County, Hunan Province. She was fortunate enough start practicing Falun Gong in 1998. After she began practicing, her body and soul were purified. After July 20, 1999, due to the CCP's persecution, she was pressured by her family and suffered from frequent police visits and coercion. On January 29, 2006, her asthma relapsed. Her family sent her to the hospital, but the treatment failed and she passed away.

Ms. Wang Cuiying, 62 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner living in Liutiao Village of Lixin Area, Acheng City of Heilongjiang Province. After the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP began, she went to Beijing on December 28, 2001 to appeal, help explain the truth, and act to follow the Fa. She was subsequently arrested and persecuted in front of Tiananmen Square. On January 2, 2002 she was forcibly taken to the local Lixin police station and illegally imprisoned in the Second Detention Center of Acheng City. While she was there, she suffered persecution for seven months. During this period, she was taken to the Wanjia Labor Camp three times. Because her hypertension reached the level of three hundred, she was refused work there. In 2002, her family paid for her release and she was sent for medical treatment. During the time she was home, her family again suffered threats, harassment, and extortion from the local policeman several times. Due to the severe mental pressure and fear generated by the persecution, her husband passed away in November of 2002 and her daughter was also illegally sent to the labor camp for 2 years. Under this long-term persecution, Ms. Wang Cuiying suffered extensive abuse, both physically and mentally. She passed away on November 24, 2005.

Mr. Xu Hejin was a 47-year-old practitioner, lived in Xiangxi Fengtai Village of the Taizhizhuang Area, Jimo city of Shandong Province. He suffered from inflamed kidneys since his childhood, but since he started practicing Falun Gong, his health was completely restored. He went to Beijing twice to clarify the truth and  Falun Gong. He was illegally imprisoned and persecuted for more than 40 days by the township government. After he was released and allowed to return home, he was kept under constant surveillance by the local police, and he was unable to study and practice Falun Gong regularly. He died on November 3, 2002.

Zouping County Police Bureau members and the local 610 Office agents in Shandong Province recently devised more ways to persecute practitioners. They are ordering police officers to develop informants by bribing them with cash. They are encouraging non-practitioners who are not aware of the truth to commit crimes against Falun Gong.

Before the persecution began in July 1999, there were 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners in Zouping County. There were more than 20 practice sites within county-related offices complexes alone. After the Chinese Communist Party started persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, police and 610 Office agents in the Zouping County office arrested many practitioners. Wei Chuanbin led those arrests and focused on practitioners who went to Beijing to explain the truth and also on those who still frequented practice sites. Practitioners were either detained, sent to forced labor camps, or sent to prison camps. Some were held for ransom.

Later, Liu Jiping was brought in to escalate the persecution. He organized the persecution of 170 practitioners. One practitioner was sentenced to prison, and 40 were sent to forced labor camps. There are still practitioners in Zouping County today who were forced into homelessness by the persecution.

1. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Jizhi and Her Daughter Arrested Without Further Information

On the morning of March 22, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Liu Jizhi and her daughter, Wang Huilan, were arrested without cause by State Security Agents Zhang Weiqiang (male) and Yang Yugang (male) from the Zhuozhou City Police Department. They are detained at the Zhuozhou City Detention Center. Their family members went to the police department many times to urge them to release the mother and daughter, but the Administration of the Zhuozhou City Police Department would not admit that they had arrested them. There has been no further information available.

2. [Gejiu City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Wan Qiaoying and Four Others Illegally Tried

Practitioners Ms. Chen Xiangzhen, Ms. Wan Qiaoying, Ms. Jiang Yanhua, Ms. Gao Mengyun, and Ms. Zhang Zhengqiao have been detained in Gejiu City Detention Center since their arrests. Recently, Honghe Prefecture Middle Court sentenced the five practitioners to about three years' imprisonment each. Their families disagreed with the sentences and are appealing.

3. [Huaiyang County, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Haomei and Ms. Zheng Ruishan Arrested

At 1:30 a.m. on March 24, 2006, Huaiyang County State Security Agents and policemen from the Lutai Town Station arrested practitioners Ms. Wang Haomei and Ms. Zheng Ruishan after breaking down their door. They confiscated copies of Zhuan Falun and truth clarifying materials about Sujiatun.

4. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Jing Persecuted by Special Case Group

Practitioners Ms. Du Guihua and Ms. Li Jing from Hegang City were arrested on February 25, 2006. Ms. Du Guihua was released because of severe illness; four policemen are monitoring her apartment. Ms. Li Jing is in prison. A special case group is persecuting her.

5. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Gang Tortured, Limb Amputated as a Result

Practitioner Mr. Wang Gang, who lived in Xiweituo Village, Yihezhuang Township, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province, has been persecuted for a year and a half. He was detained in the Zhuozhou City Detention Center after being arrested at home by policemen from the Zhuozhou City Department and 610 Office. He was illegally sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment and sent to the Baoding City First Prison where he was tortured. He was persecuted until one of his limbs had to be amputated because he did not give up his faith in Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance. His family members requested visitation rights many times but they have been denied. All information about Mr. Wang Gang has been restricted.

6. [Yangchun City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Mo Yimei Arrested

Practitioner Ms. Mo Yimei was arrested by Yangchun City 610 officers in Guangdong Province and policemen from the Heshui Town Station. She was sent to the Sanshui City Women's Forced Labor Camp on May 27, 2005. She was illegally sentenced on November 1, 2005. She is detained together with more than 10 prisoners and is being tortured. Ms. Mo Yimei is very weak.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dong Shuzhi and Ms. Yan Xiuqing Detained in Ankang Hospital

At around 9:00 p.m. on March 6, 2006, Shenyang City practitioners Ms. Ding Shuzhi and Ms. Yan Xiuqing were tracked and reported by security guard Shui Xiangxing (male) of the Guangrong Street neighborhood Office in the Wen'guan District. They were arrested and their homes ransacked. They were persecuted at Ankang Hospital, a drug rehabilitation center. Ms. Dong Shuzhi has a mother-in-law over 70 years old and her husband has already passed away. Ms. Yan Xiuqing's mother is over 80 years old, and her husband is very weak and over 50 years old. Their families urgently need their care.

8. [Lanzhou City, Ganshu Province] Ms. Ji Huilan Arrested

At around 2:00 p.m. on February 27, 2006 Lanzhou City practitioner Ms. Ji Huilan received a call telling her that a fellow practitioner was waiting for her. When she went downstairs, she was arrested by police and sent to the Lanzhou City Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center for persecution.

9. [Wendeng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shi Qingni Sentenced to Forced Labor

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Shi Qingni from Wendeng City was arrested and sentenced to three years of forced labor. Her husband was very sad, drank frequently, and ended up living in a hospital due to the severe mental pressure. Their child is very young, misses the mother very much, and also must take care of the ill father.

10. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Yongming Arrested at Tiananmen Square

Practitioner Mr. Liu Yongming, 56 years old from the Dadong District in Shenyang Cityd was arrested by Tiananmen Square policemen in Beijing when he displayed a banner to clarify truth about Falun Gong on February 19, 2006. He was picked up by policemen from the Taochang Police Station of the Dadong District in Shenyang City and is being detained at the Dadong District Detention Center.

11. [Gongyi City, Henan Province] Mr. Liu Bingyan and Ms. Zhang Qiaojun Arrested

Practitioners Mr. Liu Bingyan and Ms. Zhang Qiaojun from Gongyi City were arrested individually in February and March 2006. It is unknown where Mr. Liu Bingyan is being detained. Ms. Zhang Qiaojun was sent to the Zhengzhou City Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp and was persecuted.

12. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Jingqi Arrested

Practitioner Mr. Zhang Jingqi, who lived in the Babaishang District of Daqing City, was arrested at his workplace (Hongwei Village No. 65 Middle School in Daqing City) at 4:00 p.m. on March 24, 2006.

13. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Ru Sent to Forced Labor Camp

On March 19, 2006, Qingdao City practitioner Mr. Li Ru was arrested by policemen from the Hushan Road Station in the Licang District of Qingdao City. He was sent to the Seventh Ward of the Shandong Province Second Forced Labor Camp (the Men's Second Labor Camp) and sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor.

Mr. Li Ru was a teacher at the Yonghe Road Elementary School in the Licang District. When he "clarified truth" to his colleague Zhan Xinghua (male), Zhan reported him to the Principal Yu Aihua (male). Yu Aihua reported it immediately, which led to Mr. Li Ru's detention. The school terminated Mr. Li Ru's salary soon after that. Now Mr. Li's daughter is preparing for the university entrance examination. It is very difficult for the whole family to live on Mr. Li's wife's 100 yuan per month.

14. [Yangchun City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Lian Riguang Arrested

On the morning of March 16, 2006, 610 officers from Yangchun City, Guangdong Province, together with policemen from the Heshui Station broke into practitioner Mr. Lian Riguan's apartment and took Falun Gong materials. Mr. Lian Riguang was arrested and sent to the Yangchun City Detention Center that same evening. He was detained for 15 days and fined 1000 yuan.

16. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Five Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

On March 7, 2006, five Falun Gong practitioners who lived in the Meichang District, of Qinghuangdao City were arrested. Among them, practitioner Mr. Wu Wenfeng from Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, was sent back to his local police station.

17. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhang Zhiming Arrested

Policeman Feng Jitang, from the Maiji District of Tianshui City, Gansu Province, along with two other officers, went to Mr. Zhang Zhiming's house in Xinyang Town in the Maii District and deceived him into thinking that he was required to answer questions. Afterwards, Mr. Zhang was transferred to the Hutubi County Police Department in the Xinjiang Uhghur Autonomous Region. No further information about him is available.

18. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Looking For Dalian City Practitioner Ms. Sun Juan

Ms. Sun Juan, 40 years old, lived in the Lushunkou District of Dalian City. She moved to her new apartment on Songchang Road in the Ganjingzi District of Dalian City. She went to Beijing to demonstrate Falun Gong and was detained. She was released after being detained for two weeks. She was detained again in October 2000. No further information is available.

19. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mudanjiang City Prison Guards Tortured Falun Gong Practitioners

Mudanjiang City prison guards search for MP3s specifically. On March 17, 2006, practitioner Mr. Cui Hongwei's MP3 files were confiscated. Guards Yu Haijun (male) and group CCP leader Zhou Chen (male) beat Mr. Cui and then locked him in a small cell (1). Practitioners Mr. Wang Hai, who was in Group 2; Mr. Dong Bin in Group 3; and Mr. Cui Guojun in Group 11 were all detained in solitary confinement. The guards tortured them in order to track the source of the MP3s.

20. [Hedong District, Tianjin City] More Information about Practitioner Ms. Liu Jing's Arrest

The head of the Hedong District 610 Office Head (of the Hedong District Police Department), the Dazhigu Police Station head, and four policemen broke into Ms. Liu Jing's parents' apartment, requesting information about Ms. Liu Jing, including her contact information and address. They arrested Ms. Liu Jing after monitoring her telephone and ransacked her apartment. Her computer, printer, and Falun Gong books were damaged.

At 4:00 p.m. on March 20, the Dazhigu Police Station of the Hedong District sent a notice of detention to her parents. They claimed that Ms. Liu Jing had disobeyed the law and was being detained on criminal charges at the Tianjin No. 1 Detention Center.

21. [Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner in Qinghe Town Arrested

Practitioner Zhang (first name and gender unknown) was arrested by police officer Si Dawei (male) from the Qinghe Forestry Police Station. A computer, printer, and other items were confiscated. Now this practitioner is being detained at the Qinghe Forestry Detention Center in Tonghe County. The practitioner went on hunger strike to protest and was beaten by guards to make a statement.

Practitioner Ms. Shi Guilan lived in Dongji Village, Hongshagou Town, Anqiu City. She was detained after policemen from the local station broke into her house. She was sent to the Anqiu City Criminal Detention Center.

23. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Song Xiuxu Left the Police Station with Righteous Thoughts

At 11:00 p.m. on March 20, 2006, policemen from Xifu Town in the Chengyang District of Qingdao City, Shandong Province, suddenly broke into a small restaurant in Xifu Town. Mr. Song Xiuxu was arrested. His new computer, printer, DVD drive, Falun Gong books, truth clarifying DVDs, and other materials were all taken away. They were worth 10,000 yuan in total. That night, Mr. Song Xiufu was taken to the Xifu Town Police Station. He was tortured for several hours by a dozen police officers. With righteous thoughts the practitioner left the station before daybreak.

24. [Hubei Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhao Jucai Arrested

At the beginning of March 2006, practitioner Mr. Zhao Jucai, who lived in the countryside of Yidu City, Huibei Province, was arrested by local policemen. It is possible he was detained at the Yidu City No. 1 Detention Center. There were 15 people arrested all together.

25. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Xingfu Street Primary School Played Videos Slandering Falun Gong

Xingfu Street Primary School in the Kuiwen District of Weifang City, Shandong Province, played videos about the "Tiananmen Square Self-Immolation" to mislead and poison students who did not know the truth. There are about 2000 students in the school.

(1) Small cell: Practitioners are locked in a very small cell individually. The guards handcuff practitioners behind their backs in a fixed position so that they can neither move nor lie down. The small cell is very damp and no sunshine comes in. Victims have to urinate and defecate in the cell. Only half of a regular meal is served during the daytime. During the night the rats run around. The stench in the small cell is so bad that it is difficult to breathe.
