On November 2, 2006, dozens of police led by Yu Yi, Secretary of the CCP Political and Legal Committee in Guang’an City, broke into an apartment in the building of Seeds Inc. of Huaying City and took away four Falun Gong practitioners, including three in their 30s: Mr. Xiang Lin, Ms. Ding Yuerong, and Mr. Zeng Geping.

Mr. Xiang, from Huaying City, was tortured for two days by the police. He began a hunger strike on November 26 to protest the illegal persecution, and he became very weak. He was secretly transferred to the Chuanzhong Jail Hospital in Gaoping, Nanchong City for further persecution. His family was not notified. Now he is on the verge of death. Mr. Xiang Lin used to be an employee of Huaying City’s Cement Factory. He was sent to the Dayan Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan Province since he insisted on practicing Falun Gong. Two years ago, he had to become homeless because he learned that the local police were attempting to arrest him again.

Ms. Ding Yuerong, a former elementary school teacher, went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in October 1999. She was caught, repatriated back to Guang’an City, and detained in a rehabilitation center and later in a detention center. After her release several months later, she was dismissed by her school. Although her husband was a leader at the same school, he helped the school authorities to persecute her rather than giving her a hand. However, as a Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. Ding endured those unfair treatments with great compassion even when her husband had an affair. She still kept her belief and kept clarifying the truth to them and the people of Guang’an City.

Mr. Zeng Geping was a veteran. On May 2005, he went to Tiananmen Square to protest the persecution of Falun Gong. As a result, he was detained for half a month. Nearly three months later, he went to the home of Huang Zhihui and Xu Renwu. All three of them were arrested and sentenced to forced labor. Two years later, he was directly transferred to the Huying City’s Brainwashing Center because he was not "transformed" in the forced labor camp. He was only released after more than a year of further tortures that included physical punishment, beatings, and no vegetables.

To get through to the people of Guang’an City who have been deceived by the CCP, Falun Gong practitioners try to save every possible cent to make truth clarification materials. However, the police destroyed the material production site. They first used illegal means including monitoring and tracking practitioners and their telephones and cell phones. They then sabotaged the material site after long term surveillance.

In 2002, several policemen from the former First Section of the police department, which is now known as the National Security Group, were promoted to higher positions after they spent much effort in persecuting the family of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Cheng Huazheng. 

In 2002, Mr. Cheng Huazheng was illegally detained for distributing truth-clarifying materials. Mr. Cheng's wife and his two daughters were later kidnapped by police and held hostage. The police forced Mr. Cheng to falsely testify that he carried several thousand copies of truth clarification materials. The police then sentenced him and his elder daughter to forced labor.

In the Second Detention Center, Mr. Cheng's elder daughter was tortured. As a result her right leg was disabled. She was later released on parole. Mr. Cheng was detained in the First Detention Center. His wife and two daughters were detained in the Second Detention Center in Anshun City. Several years later, Mr. Cheng was again detained in the Second Detention Center.

In 2003, policeman Lou Hua of Xixiu District Police Department in Anshun City went to Mr. Cheng's apartment and harassed his daughter: "Your leg is disabled, isn't it? We are not satisfied because we haven't yet broken your leg completely. I will use a jack to break your lock and then pull you from your apartment all the way to the police station on East Street. Don't think that just because you are serving your sentence outside of prison that I can't touch you. I can easily find a reason and take you to the detention center again. I will lock you up in Zhongba Forced Labor Camp. Even if the forced labor camp does not take you, I will force them to detain you, and I will ask the detention center staff to torture you to death. I don't believe that bad deeds can provoke retribution."

Mr. Cheng Huazheng was frequently beaten in Zhongba Forced Labor Camp and became mentally unstable as a result of the beating. His teeth were loosed and most of them fell out as a result of the beatings. He could hardly eat. The internal injuries were so severe that even now he often vomits blood. He is very weak and often falls ill.

On December 2, 2006, Mr. Cheng was secretly detained in the detention center by the police after he went to East Street Police Station to clarify the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. His family was totally unaware of his whereabouts and searched everywhere. The family eventually reported to the police station that he was missing. The police then told them that they had arrested him. Policeman Lou Hua of the National Security Group threatened his family, saying that Mr. Cheng would be sentenced and sent to the forced labor camp.

In 2004, whenever the female police guards accompanied Cao Yujie, a physician, to try to force-feed dedicated practitioners, they would always jeer, "Let’s go. We've got to feed the donkeys." The group would loudly jeer and follow the physician to do the job. Some practitioners who resisted the forced-feeding were gagged with rags and beaten, sometimes almost to death. How terrible and deadly these evil acts were.

In 2005, an elderly practitioner was tortured to death in bed. The guards told everyone not to let the truth get out.

In 2004, a 30 year-old practitioner, Wang Manli from Benxi City, Liaoning Province, was tortured to total blindness.

In 2005, practitioner Ms. Zhu Yun, over 30 years old and an engineer, was tortured until she lost control of her bodily functions, causing unbearable pain. She was also dragged around by some inmates at the instigation of the guards. Her current condition is unknown.

In 2005, several solid practitioners were locked in a damp, dark storage room with no windows. Their heads were bagged and their hands were cuffed behind them. They were badly beaten with electric batons inside the room while speakers blared out noise. No sound was heard from the outside.

In 2005 a practitioner from Dalian City, Ms. Sun Juan, about 20 some years old, was tortured until she became completely mentally disordered.

From December 2004 to December 25, 2006, many practitioner have been forced to sit on the ground with no bathroom privileges, causing them humiliation.
