Previously there were no male guards in the Second Women's Section of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Around the lunar New Year 2005, detained Falun Gong practitioners shouted, "Falun Dafa is great!" which shocked the evildoers. Groups of male guards were then transferred to the Second Women's Section. The camp authorities use the men to persecute women practitioners.

Whenever practitioners shouted, "Falun Dafa is great!" the male guards and the female group leader would pounce on them. Some of them beat the practitioners, some dragged them, some gagged them, and some handcuffed them. When the practitioners continued to shout, they taped their mouths shut, wrapping tape around the head in several layers. Sometimes they gagged practitioners with a towel; sometimes they handcuffed practitioners to heating pipes for different periods of time. Then they locked the practitioners in confinement cells.

After the 2005 New Year, some practitioners who had succumbed to brainwashing awakened and realized that they had taken the wrong path. Some of them refused to do the physical exercises the camp required. Many of them wrote a solemn declaration to return to Falun Gong practice. Some practitioners were secretly sharing their understandings. The majority of practitioners who were brainwashed began to awaken. The labor camp authorities were extremely afraid of that. On March 31, 2005, the labor camp authorities separated the steadfast practitioners from the brainwashed practitioners. They singled out the practitioners who refused to work for the labor camp, who refused to do the physical exercises, who refused to listen to the "reformation" lectures, who resisted the persecution, and established a separate group for them, called Group1. Group 2 consisted of practitioners who had once been "reformed" but later became clear-minded and returned to Falun Gong after awakening. Group 3 consisted of practitioners who were brainwashed and "reformed."

On the afternoon the labor camp reorganized the groups, several practitioners in each cell refused to wear the prison uniforms or took off the prison uniform as a sign they resist the persecution. The police officers forced them to wear the uniforms, dragged them outside and forced them to stand for a prolonged period of time, beat them, handcuffed them, or dragged them into confinement cells. Falun Gong practitioners shouted, "Falun Dafa is great!" and "Stop persecuting Falun Gong practitioners." The guards are afraid of the words "Falun Dafa is great." They slapped the practitioners' faces hard. The male guards beat the women practitioners until their faces swelled and their eyes almost swelled shut. They also poked the cheeks of practitioners who shouted, "Falun Dafa is great."

The next morning, on April 1, 2005, all practitioners in Group 1 took off their prison uniforms. Falun Gong practitioners' righteous thoughts and righteous actions triumphed over the evil! It exhibited the great power of Falun Gong practitioners as one body.

The labor camp authorities resorted to a new trick. In Group 1, they sealed all the doors and windows of the cells that confined practitioners. They then covered all the windows with dark plastic to prevent anyone from looking in or out, leaving only the top of the window uncovered, permitting a little light to go through. They made a cut about an inch long in the lowest corner of windows and doors. The head of the group and guards monitored practitioners through these cuts every few minutes. The practitioners were confined in these cells all along, except for two daily toilet breaks. They did not allow them to go to the dining hall, but brought the food to these cells. Practitioners were forced to sit from 5:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. If the group leader felt unhappy, she would force them to sit until 10:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m. Practitioners were prohibited from talking or getting close to one another. The labor camp authorities announced through the loudspeaker, "Group 1 is under closed governance. Practitioners there eat third-class food, the coarsest grains every day. 'Reformed' practitioners eat first-class food, flour and rice all day. Practitioners in Group 2 eat second-class food, half coarse food and half flour and rice. There are three classes [of detainees] altogether."

One practitioner had good teeth before she came to the labor camp, but now has only one tooth left. Because she firmly resisted the evil persecution, the police officers escalated the persecution against her. They forced her to sit in the confinement cell, and gave her hard, half-raw and half-cooked hoecakes for meals. The daily three meals also consisted of salted turnip sticks. She could only break off a piece of cake and swallow it with a bite of turnip stick. After she was forced to sit in the confinement cell for one month, the group leader asked her if she still persisted in her belief. She answered, "Yes." They continued to confine her.

On April 25, practitioners in each cell in Group 1 shouted, "Falun Dafa is great!" A group of guards rushed into the cells and beat them. The group leader slapped the practitioners hard. Some practitioners were dragged out and handcuffed and made to stand for long periods of time. A practitioner was handcuffed for two days. The head guard shocked her eyes until one of the eyelids turned black. They shouted that they would extend practitioners' terms. They compiled false reports and forced the practitioners to sign them. Falun Gong practitioners didn't acknowledge the illegal detention and the extension of terms. Nobody signed the papers.

May 13 is "Falun Dafa Day." Practitioners from all the cells again shouted, "Falun Dafa is great!" Practitioners in some cells were doing the exercises. In some cells, practitioners underwent a hunger strike for three days to resist the persecution. They were thus persecuted even more frenetically. The guards rushed into each cell and screamed at and beat the practitioners. Some dragged the women out, some beat them. Practitioners were once again dragged out and handcuffed. Some practitioners were handcuffed and forced to stand for three days, some for two days. They were later dragged back to the confinement cells. It was during the hot summer and the confinement cells weren't ventilated. Sweat soaked the practitioners' clothes. Besides that, practitioners had very bad food, so many of them felt dizzy and weak.

A practitioner from Group 1 was reported to the authorities as "Anti-CCP" just because she did the exercises. On July 6 she was handcuffed and dragged into a police car. They said that they would send her to Dabei (now the Prison City in Shenyang). Some practitioners continued to do the exercises and were again persecuted in the same way as before and confined in the small cells.

Practitioners who were badly injured from gross abuse and those who were extremely weak from hunger strikes and were force-fed, were dragged in and out by the authorities. Some practitioners were persecuted to the extent that they were at death's door. The guards and the group leader would rather force-feed them than release them.

The labor camp authorities are still delaying the release of the practitioners who are at the brink of death. One practitioner had been illegally locked up for three years by April 2005 and is still locked up there. She is also suffering from high blood pressure. To resist the evil and demand her release, she refused to eat the camp food, but instead ate instant noodles she bought with her own money. She is still being detained in the labor camp. Many practitioners are now detained past their term Falun Gong practitioners do not acknowledge the illegal detention and, of course, they don't acknowledge the legitimacy of the terms these lawless persons sentenced them to.

As of 2005, many practitioners whose three-year or two-year terms had expired have been held over for several months. The labor camp authorities just refuse to release them.

In the past six years, the Chinese Communist Party has brutally persecuted Falun Gong. Ms. Wang Xiuqing from Taiyang Village, Laotougou County, Longjing City, Jilin Province was detained several times. The warden, Wang Limei (female) in the Fifth Group of Heizuizi Labor Camp in Changchun City, persecuted Ms Wang Xiuqing using all sorts of torture methods. Her health became poor as a result. The local police and the government officials from Laotougou County continued the persecution, however, and after being raped and having suffered unbearable humiliation, Wang Xiuqing died shortly thereafter. More details follow:

Ms. Wang Xiuqing was 53 and unmarried. After her parents passed away, Ms. Wang led a hard life alone. Her health was very poor back then. In 1997, she came across Falun Gong and began practicing. Shortly afterwards, her health improved tremendously. She was able to do the hard farm work again. When the persecution started in July 1999, the Laotougou County police often harassed her and tortured her both mentally and physically. Every time she said that she would continue practicing Falun Gong, they raided her home. They arrested her several times and sentenced her to the labor camp for one year.

The warden Wang Limei in the Fifth Group of Heizuizi Labor Camp brutally persecuted her using various methods. No matter what means the wardens used, she kept on practicing Falun Gong. She refused to be "reformed" and turn against Falun Gong. After she was released from the labor camp, she was very weak and suffered a relapse.

But the police from the Laotougou Police Station did not stop persecuting her. Soon she was arrested and taken to the brainwashing center. She did not cooperate with them and went on a hunger strike. She then was taken to the Longjing Custodial Station and detained there. She continued her hunger strike until she was on the brink of her death. She was then sent to the hospital.

After that she was forced to become homeless. The police, however, continued looking for her, and they went to her former residence. While Ms. Wang's health was still frail and she was away from home, she was raped. She could not recover from it and passed away on November 3, 2005.

The relatives of Wang Xiuqing knew that the reason of her death was that she was raped, but they did not dare to report that to the police. They felt that they had no choice but to suffer silently. During these many years of persecution against Falun Gong, people have formed the concept that Falun Gong could not get justice anywhere. In Mainland China, there are many such families that have Falun Gong practitioners. They have to suffer the loss of their loved ones and withstand the pain of separation in silence under the CCP's persecution.

Wang Shouliang is an agent of the Quanyang Forestry CCP Political and Security Office in Fusong County, Baishan City, Jilin Province. In the past seven years, he has sent 23 innocent Falun Gong practitioners to forced labor and detained countless other practitioners. Many families of Falun Gong practitioners are suffering financial hardship because Wang Shouliang caused them to lose their jobs. Wang also is involved in pocketing money from practitioners' "security deposits," which many practitioners' family members had to go into debt to provide.

On October 10, 2005, local police illegally arrested practitioner Ms. Yu Fuzhao. Her home was also illegally searched. She was brutally tortured for several days and was then sent to the Chengdu City Detention Center. She went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. She was savagely beaten by members of the 610 Office and lost consciousness. When she was sent back to her room, she was covered with cuts and bruises. There were no uninjured spots on her body. Even the inmates who were detained in the same room couldn't recognize her. Fearing that she might die from the torture, the 610 Office secretly transferred her to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center in Sichuan Province during the night.

Yu Fuzhao continued the hunger strike while at the brainwashing center. She was again savagely beaten by members of the 610 Office and was force-fed. They violently inserted the force-feeding tube into her, tearing her esophagus, which led to her vomiting blood. Now Yu Fuzhao is at the verge of death. She has frequently lost consciousness, urinated blood, and has lost control of her bladder.

Practitioner Hu Jinyan, 52, previously worked for an alcohol plant in Changle County, Shandong Province. Because of his steadfast belief in Falun Gong, in October 2000, he was illegally sentenced to three years of imprisonment. Three months after his original sentence was up, in January 2004, he was finally released. During his detention, in February 2002, his wife, Mrs. Guo Sufen, was also illegally sentenced to seven years of imprisonment for distributing truth-clarification materials. She is now detained at the Women's Prison in Jinan City. They left behind an over-80-year old mother and two young daughters.

After his release, Hu Jinyan continued to practice and to tell people the truth about Falun Gong. On November 16, 2005, the county 610 Office arrested him again. He was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor and is currently detained at Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.

On December 29, 2005, while practitioner Ms. Tao Weixiang, from Wenquan, Xianning, Hubei Province, was at home, policemen from the Xianning City National Security Group and Chalukou Police Station took the room key from her husband and illegally searched her room. They confiscated a copy of the book Zhuan Falun and arrested her.

On December 17, 2005, practitioners Ms. Zhang Xiurong and Mr. Su Derong, from Suining City, Sichuan Province, were arrested when they were telling people the truth about Falun Gong. The next day, their homes were illegally searched. They are currently being detained at Yongxing Detention Center in Suining City.

At around 11:00 p.m. on July 19, 2005, practitioner Ms. Song Xiuyun, from Houhaixi Village, Jihongtan Township, Chengyang District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, was arrested at her home by police. Three hours later, she was illegally sent to the Jinan Forced Labor Camp.

Practitioner Ms. Han Yinghua, 35, teaches at the Suliucun Kindergarten on Hongniao Street, Chengyang District, Qingdao City. At around noon on February 28, 2005, shortly after she got home from work, policemen from Chengyang District and Hongniao Township Police Station arrested her. Her home was also searched.

On December 25, 2005, the Shanghai City Second Middle Court decided to uphold the original decision by Qingpu Court in late September against 3 practitioners, Ms. Wu Aizhong, Ms. Zhang Hui and Ms. Liu Lan. This decision was reached without a trial. Wu Aizhong, Zhang Hui and Liu Lan were sentenced to 7.5 years, 3 years and 7.5 years of imprisonment respectively.

On December 13, 2005, Practitioner Ms. Bi Xiuhua, from Wujin Village, Taolaizhao Township, Fuyu County, Jilin Province, was illegally arrested, and her home was illegally searched as a result of her brother-in-law's reporting her.

Practitioner Ms. Ju Guilian, 57, is a retired teacher. On December 14, 2005, police officers from Laozhan Police Station in Tonghua City illegally searched her home, and Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was illegally arrested and was sent to the Changliu Detention Center in Tonghua City on December 15.

On December 13, 2005, several policemen, including Zhangjun and Li Guoqing from Tuanjie Police Station, illegally arrested over 60-year old practitioner Ms. Li Guofen. She was then sent to the Changliu Detention Center in Tonghua City. At the detention center, Li Guofen showed symptoms of severe high blood pressure. She left the detention center the next day with righteous thoughts.

Practitioner Ms. Qu Xiuchen, from Ziping City, Shandong Province, works for the Qiqing Railway Zibo section. On June 18, 2005, she was illegally detained by police officers from Zibo City Police Department. Several other practitioners were also detained at the same time. Her family asked to visit her many times, but their requests were denied.
