The Facts of the Persecution of Falun Gong -- September 21, 2005

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Xinchun who already lost his feet from the persecution, was arrested on April 9, 2005 at a shoe-repair shop at the Fengmao Forestry Center, Yichun City. The enforcers held him at the Jinshantun Detention Center where he was tied onto a "big hard rack" for more than five days. This rack was specially made for torturing Falun Gong practitioners.

Later this year, on July 5, 2005, in order to learn a skill to make a living, Wang Xinchun went to Jinshantun District to learn shoe repair. Chen Zhong, the Forestry Center's Party Secretary and Gao Qingguo, the Forestry Center's supervisor and various police officers beat Mr. Wang severely. They sent him to a detention center, then sent him home after the detention center refused him. They will not allow Mr. Wang to make a living outside. While they were beating him they said, "Don't ever go to the shoe-repair shop in the Jinshantun District! We will beat you whenever you show up in the Jinshantun District."

1. Persecution results in the loss of both feet

Mr. Wang Xinchun, 30 years old, lives with his family at the Fengmao Forestry Center in Yichun City. He is an honest man. He had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, but after he started practicing Falun Gong in 1998, his potentially fatal illness was cured. All his friends and neighbors were witnesses to this fact. As a Falun Gong practitioner, he did everything according to "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" and gained great physical and mental benefits. After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, Wang Xinchun was exposed to torture and abuse. In April 2000, Mr. Wang went to Beijing and appealed for justice for Falun Gong. He was arrested and detained at the Yichun Forced Labor Camp for a one-year sentence, but was not released until serving a six-month illegal extension, for a total of a year and a half of forced labor.

On September 5, 2001 Mr. Wang Xinchun was detained again at the Suihua Forced Labor Camp and was not released until late October 2001. In early 2002, while Wang Xinchun was distributing Falun Gong truth clarification flyers, the police spotted him and chased him. He ran into a remote mountain area in minus 30 degrees Celsius weather and stepped into a river to hide. His legs up to his knees became wet and soon iced up. The police later captured him. Wang Wei, a female officer and the police station chief forced Mr. Wang to put his feet into hot water (which is the wrong thing to do and will aggravate frostbite and cause severe injury). As a result he lost both feet.

2. Looking for a job outside, tortured on a big metal rack and nearly died

Since Wang Xinchun lost his feet, his father has looked after him. His mother returned in poor health from a three-year labor camp sentence. She had difficulty walking. The three-member family had a difficult life. The Forestry Center provided Mr. Wang a 60 yuan monthly social security benefit, but the money was frequently delayed or withheld. Friends sent 200 yuan and clothes from outside of town, but Forestry Center manager Gao Qingguo withheld the money and clothes. Obviously, withholding other people's property is illegal; however, there is no place where one can appeal or sue the CCP's illegal actions.

To feed the family, Wang Xinchun went to the Jinshantun District to learn shoe-repair in early April 2005. Only a few days later, Xiao Jingyu, head of the 610 Office in the district police station and other police dragged Mr. Wang from the shoe-repair shop, took him back to the Forestry Center and asked him the following questions, "How did you manage to get the story about your losing your feet online? How did you get to the Jinshantun District?" Wang Xinchun refused to answer. Xiao Jingyu and police officer Wang Shoumin kicked and beat him on the head. As a result, Wang Xinchun bled profusely. That same day in the afternoon, Gao Qingguo, Wang Shoumin and Da Wei kicked and dragged Wang Xinchun to a detention center. Police officer Yang Changshan beat Wang Xinchun with a belt.

Mr. Wang went on a hunger strike in the detention center to protest the persecution. On the fifth day of the hunger strike, the police dragged Mr. Wang to a big room and threatened him in the presence of several high-ranking police officials. One chief threatened Wang Xinchun. Cui Yuzhong, police station chief, said, "Go ahead and eat, If you don't eat, we'll have to force you." Later the police dragged Mr. Wang onto a big metal rack to torture him; police officers Wang Shoumin and Da Wei stretched his arms and legs and buckled them onto hoops on the rack. They could not buckle his legs because he did not have feet, so they used aluminum wire to tie up his thigh on one side and then tie it up to the hoop on the other side. Mr. Wang was tied onto the rack with his arms and legs stretched out in four directions so that he could not move. Police officer Wang Shomin kicked his head, chest, abdomen and ribs. Mr. Wang sustained a large amount of swelling on his head.

Mr. Wang received infusions of 7 or 8 bottles while on the rack, which caused him to shiver with cold. Some police officers asked, "Is he still alive?" The next day, the police force-fed him through a tube inserted through his nose into his stomach. He vomited and became unconscious. When he regained consciousness, he heard the following conversation between Wang Shomin and the other police officers. Wang Shomin said, "After Wang Xinchun lost his frost-bitten feet due to the hot water in 2002, Jinshantun District Party Secretary and Party head were very happy because he cannot go anywhere, and most importantly, he can't go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. In addition, he was also diagnosed with leukemia and will die in several months. Therefore, they thought they could get rid of this big burden. But, totally unexpected, he did not die and even managed to be more visible and his persecution story was published online." These people did not sound like government officials who are supposed to defend the people, but rather, like executioners.

The lawless police also arrested Wang Xinchun's father and detained him for 15 days, starting from April 9, 2005. Police officer Wang Shoumin even said, "We police are the country's bandits, disguised in public security uniforms."

Mr. Wang was tied up on the rack for five days, and was force-fed daily. He was frequently unconscious, and he nearly died. When Wang Xinchun regained consciousness, he asked for the money that the police took away from him. Police officer Li Jun kicked Mr. Wang and said, "There is no such thing. Your money has been used to pay for the food." Mr. Wang argued, "I didn't eat anything, not even water." The 180 yuan was the money Mr. Wang had gathered from his friends, for opening a small shoe-repair shop. Now the police had taken it.

On April 19 the police took Mr. Wang back home. Officer Wang Shoumin beat him in the street. They kicked him in the stomach and chest so that he fell on the ground. The police monitored Mr. Wang's family and did not permit neighbors to visit.

On July 1, 2005 Wang Xinchun knelt on the side of Queyi Road. A car went by and the deputy head of the Forestry Center Liu Guangmin asked him, "What are you doing?" Mr. Wang replied, "I am kneeling here for a break." "No, you cannot do that!" said Liu. He got out of the car and started kicking and beating Mr. Wang. Liu kicked Mr. Wang's back so hard that he lost his balance and fell into the ditch along the road. Wang Xinchun struggled to crawl back, but he was kicked again down into the ditch.

The police would beat or detain and persecute Wang Xinchun at the police station no matter whether he was at home or out of doors. He has appealed to each law enforcement department, but so far there had been no solution.

3. "We will beat you whenever you show up in the Jinshantun District"

On July 5, 2005, in order to once again try to learn a skill to make a living, Wang Xinchun went to the Jinshantun District to learn shoe repair. At 6:30 a.m. on July 7 he had breakfast, then went to a bicycle-repair shop and chatted with the owner. People passed by the shop, astonished when looking at his missing feet and fresh wounds and they stopped in, asking for the reason. Right then, Forestry Center Party secretary Chen Zhong rushed in, followed by manager Gao Qingguo. They were most afraid that Mr. Wang would tell them the truth of the persecution. Gao Qingguo called the Fengo Police Station on his cell phone. In a short time, the station chief Min Changchun came, along with police officers Wang Shoumin, Da Wei and Li Qinglin. They dragged Wang Xinchun to a police car and sent him to a detention center. After the detention center refused Mr. Wang, the police sent him back home at the Forestry Center. The police attempted to force Mr. Wang to unlock his door. Mr. Wang refused to cooperate. As a result, officers Min Changchun, Changchun, Wang Shoumin and Da Wei kicked Mr. Wang again and said, "We will beat you whenever you show up in the Jinshantun District."

Jinshantun District Police Station "610 Office" head Xiao Jingyu, Fengmao Forestry Center manger Gao Qingguo, the Party Secretary Chen Zhong, Fengo Police Chief Min Changchun, and officer Wang Shoumin frequently beat Wang Xinchun mercilessly. They commented, "Beating you does not violate the law. With the Communist Party in power, beating people is not in violation of the law. The Communist Party is the law."

Mr. Ma Jujun was a Falun Gong practitioner from Changji, Xinjiang province. Because he constantly clarified the truth of Falun Gong, corrupt officials sentenced him to two years in a labor camp. After his release, the 610 Office and the national security staff arrested him two more times and sent him to a brainwashing center at a wool plant in Xinjiang province for further persecution. Because he was steadfast in his belief, he was frequently trailed, monitored, harassed and threatened. Later, he was arrested and sent to the Mental Hospital in Urumchi where he suffered inhuman torture. He was persecuted to death on September 27, 2004. His vast kindness and firm belief in Falun Gong left an everlasting impression on me. The following is what I remember about him. I'm publishing this on the one-year anniversary of his death to show respect and mourning for Mr. Ma Jujun.

Mr. Ma Jujun was somewhat slender and of average height. At a glance, he appeared to be very naïve. When I first saw him, I was touched by his frankness and enthusiasm. He cared about new practitioners. If he found that someone did not have Falun Gong books, he would go out and buy them to give to new practitioners. Once, there were many new practitioners who came to study without Falun Gong books. He put aside his personal business and took a bus to Shihezi to buy several books, thereby solving the problem. He was an easy person to get along with. We all liked him.

After July 20, 1999, Mr. Ma Jujun wrote an appeal letter and mailed it. As he was preparing to go to Beijing to make the appeal, he was arrested by police from the National Security team. He was illegally detained at a detention center. As a steadfast practitioner in Falun Gong, he refused to write a letter of repentance, so the police sent him and two other practitioners to a forced labor camp. In Wujiaqu forced labor camp in Changji, his mind and body were devastated by unimaginable physical and psychological torture.

According to some eyewitness, since he requested permission to do the exercises in the forced labor camp, the police persecuted him with electric batons, threats, curses, restriction of his personal freedom, and more.

In November 2001, in order to vindicate Falun Gong, all practitioners in the labor camp stepped forward and protested against the persecution in the camp. The police handcuffed practitioner Li Yulin's hands onto a heater because he was the first one who stepped forward. Then the police fooled other Falun Gong practitioners by saying that he was in the office. Mr. Ma Jujun immediately asked to go to the office and take a look. The police threw him to the ground and pulled off his shoes. Three to five police dragged Mr. Ma Jujun to the third floor, beating him all the way. Later on, corrupt staff members, prison guards and many criminals surrounded Falun Gong practitioners and abused them further.

The last time I saw Mr. Ma Jujun was on a winter day. At that time, he was very thin and was not wearing enough clothing. But from the expression in his eyes I could tell that he was more determined than ever. I talked with him for over an hour. At that time, I was in a relatively fearful mindset. I was moved by his firm belief. Before I left, he reminded me to be more careful. I was truly reluctant to leave him.

I never guessed that this meeting with him would be the last time we would see each other. One of his family members who was brainwashed by the evil Communist Party's lies reported him. He was arrested by National Security Bureau agents and later died from the persecution he then suffered in the mental hospital in Urumchi. I felt very sad.

My husband, Falun Gong practitioner Feng Binghun, was arrested by police from Zeng City, Guangdong Province, and sentenced. I had no choice but to go into hiding with my one and a half year old daughter, and we are now homeless. During the last six months the authorities have never stopped persecuting me and my relatives.

On the night of February 21, 2005, the police arrested my husband and I while we were distributing "truth-clarifying materials" in the countryside. I escaped, carrying my one and a half year old daughter on my back.

Later that night, Zeng City police, carrying an arrest warrant, violently forced their way into my home. My father, who was home at the time, has heart disease. The sudden shock frightened him so much that he passed out and fell onto the bed.

Since that day, my family members have been under surveillance. They feel the extreme pressure of the evil's persecution. Often my father will blankly wander the streets alone from morning until night. He's looking for my daughter and I, but he's even more afraid that the police will find us.

Feng Bingkun's bank account was frozen. Our family tried several times, but couldn't withdraw any money from the bank. My father-in-law missed his son so much that despite the fact that he was extremely ill, he went to the Zeng City Detention Center to see his son, but they refused to let him see him. Everyday, while he works in the fields, passers by say that the old man is so pitiable, weeping so miserably, his son arrested, and his daughter-in-law and grand daughter homeless.

Police also searched my uncle's home in Mei County. My uncle and my grandfather couldn't take the pressure and called my family to ask what had happened. Police also searched Feng Bingkun's brother-in-law's house in Dongguan City. The Public Security Bureau in Zeng City pressured the Public Security Bureau in Dongguan City, which directed the police station in Mayong Town, who in turn ordered the Residential Committee to detain Feng Bingkun's brother-in-law, interrogating and threatening him in seeking my whereabouts.

Feng Bingkun was illegally sentenced to three and a half years, and unlawfully imprisoned in the Sihui Jail. In the courtroom, Feng's brother heard many illegal sentences being imposed and wanted to question the court. To his surprise, the people sitting on either side of him were secret agents. As soon as Feng's brother stood up to raise a question, they immediately forced him to sit down again, and wouldn't allow him to question the legality of the court's actions. Feng's brother said that the judge used innumerable lame arguments that were not consistent with legal doctrines. As a result of his attempt to question the court, he was forced out of the Zeng City courtroom by secret agents, and wasn't permitted to attend the second half of the session.

Feng Bingkun's brother and sister in law are both teachers. The police from Zhenlong Town often call on them and harass them. They frequently demand their presence at the police station while they are teaching their classes. If they refuse to go, the police call the Public Security Bureau in Zeng City, which in turn calls the Education Bureau, pressuring the principal, who must assign other teachers to substitute for them. The persecutors constantly harass my family and disrupt their lives, persecuting them and creating an atmosphere of terror, so that they don't dare shelter my daughter and me.

I'm too afraid to go home, since the authorities there are still seeking me for persecution. Since September 1, 2005 when Zhenlong Town fell under the authority of Luogang District, Guangzhou City government, the Luogang District 610 Office has threatened everyone who knows me, and interrogated them all for information about me. I'm homeless with my one and half a year old child, and live in fear of possible misfortune.

Practitioner Ms. Wang Li is from Suizhong, Liaoning Province. During the past six-plus years of the persecution of Falun Gong she has been illegally imprisoned for five and half years. She is still in the Liaoning Province Women's Prison. She is currently locked in a small cell in isolation.

Ms. Wang Li is 29 years old and is from Xidianzi Town, Suizhong County, Huludao City, Liaoning Province. Before she was married Wang lived in Hetaoshu, Hejia Village, Qianzhen Town, Suizhong County. At the end of October 1999, Wang took her three-week-old daughter to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. The Director of the Suizhong County Political Security Division, Wang Fuchen, unlawfully forced her back home and locked her in the Suizhong Detention Center for five months.

The day after Wang was released from the detention center, she went to Beijing to tell the government appeals office that it was wrong to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. However, two officers at the Shanhaiguan Train Station caught her. The officers picked her up by her arms and legs and then slammed her to the ground a few times. Wang told the police, "I am not afraid of you slamming me to the ground like this. However, it is not good for you." The officers stopped hurting Wang and took her back to Suizhong. Wang was again illegally imprisoned in the Suizhong Detention Center.

While Wang was in the Suizhong Detention Center, a police officer searched her cell and confiscated her Falun Gong articles. When Wang asked the police to return the articles, the officer slapped her face hard, 18 times.

In June 2000, the police sentenced Wang to one year in a forced labor camp and sent her to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. The Captain at Masanjia, officer Qiu Ping, beat and kicked Wang, injected her with drugs, and shocked her with electric batons. Qiu even sent Wang to the Zhangshi and Shenxin Forced Labor Camps for further cruel treatment. Wang insisted on continuing to practice Falun Gong and her sentence was extended by six months. Three months later, Wang went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal imprisonment. She was released in September 2001.

Nine months later, the Director of the Xidianzi Police Station (name unknown) went to Wang's home at noon on July 24, 2002, to try to make her sign a Guarantee Statement saying that she would not practice Falun Gong anymore. The director even tried to force Wang to berate and make fun of Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong. Wang refused to do any of those things, so the police arrested her, and confiscated her household property.

Just then, Wang's mother, who was over 70 years old, rushed in and said, "If you take her away, what is her child going to do?" When Wang's mother stood in front of the police car to try and stop it from leaving, an officer said, "If you dare stand in the way, I will run you over." Wang's mother had no choice but move aside and watch the police take her daughter away.

That was the second time Wang was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Wang was sentenced to three years. During the first seven months Wang was locked up in the first prison ward. Her family tried to visit her three times but their requests were turned down every time. Wang was brutally tortured while at the camp. Once she yelled "Falun Dafa is good" during the morning exercises and flag-raising ceremony. When the "Inspection Team" came, Wang rushed toward them and loudly said, "The Masanjia Camp punishes us physically and tortures us in a small isolated room." One time Captain Dong beat Wang. Hence, Wang wrote flyers describing this incident and yelled "Falun Dafa is good" while distributing them.

In January 2005, the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp illegally sentenced Ms. Wang to three years in prison and transferred her to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison.

When Wang left home her daughter was three years old. Now her daughter attends elementary school. When Wang's daughter visited Wang, Wang could only hold her and tell her, "You have to listen to your grandma and respect her. It is grandma who is painstakingly taking care of you." Wang's daughter missed her mother so much that she kept everything Wang had used in the house. Wang's room and clothing became very precious to her daughter. Wang's daughter believed that her mother would return soon.

During the past 6 years, Wang has only been able to live at home for nine months. Every time the family talks about Wang, they cry a lot. Wang's mother-in-law repeatedly said, "My daughter is very capable and devoted to her parents. Now see how much she is suffering in there!" Wang's mother-in-law not only misses Wang, but also has to take care of her young granddaughter as well as support a broken home that used to be happy and blessed.

Wang is still illegally imprisoned. She has been put in a small isolation room and is not allowed to see her family.

Ms. Sun Guilan, 55 years old, lived on Xijiao Street, in Bayan Town, Bayan County, Heilongjiang Province. She started to practice Falun Gong in 1998. She used to have severe heart disease, hypertension, a matrix tumor and other health problems before practicing Falun Gong and could not manage to do even simple housework. After she practiced Falun Gong though, her diseases completely cleared up to the point that she could easily manage physically demanding work. In August 2000, Sun Guilan and 40 other practitioners went to Bayan People's Square to practice the Falun Gong exercises. They were all arrested and thrown into a detention center for one month. On December 26, 2000, Ms. Sun headed for Beijing to appeal, but some police officers arrested her on the train and sent her to Changchun Railway Police Station. Ms. Sun refused to reveal her name or address so the police punched and kicked her in attempts to force her to reveal her personal information. After four days the police stripped her of her clothing and threw her onto the snowy ground in the middle of nowhere and left her there. With painstaking effort, Sun Guilan managed to return home. For the next few years Ms. Sun suffered the persecution by being continually harassed by the Bayan No. 2 Police Station Head, Li Ming. Sun Guilan eventually had to leave home and live in a homeless situation, surviving by doing odd jobs. Under the enormous pressure and hardship, Sun Guilan passed away on June 1, 2003.

Ms. Xie Fan, 55 years old, lived on Jiangnan Road No. 20, in Bayan Town, Heilongjiang Province. In July 2000 she went to Beijing to appeal. Police from the Bayan No.3 police station extorted 3000 yuan from Ms. Xie's family in exchange for her release, but later they arrested her again and detained her for one month. With righteous thoughts Xie Fan was able to recover 1500 yuan of the extorted money for her family. Later the police used various excuses to harass and persecute her. Ms. Xie Fan passed away suddenly on September 2, 2005.

Ms. Liu Xiuyun, a 72 year old practitioner from Bayan County, worked in Bayan Industry and Commerce Bank. On August 1, 2001, she visited a fellow practitioner Fei Menglin's home in Bayan No. 3 Middle School. For this she was arrested in the name of "illegal gathering," detained for two weeks, and extorted 3000 yuan. Ms. Liu's family went to the leader of the police department who extorted 2000 yuan from them to try to get the money back, but did not have any success. Later, Liu Xiuyun went to the home of her sister, who lives in Harbin, to visit and was arrested again by the police. Bayan No. 2 Police Station Heads Jiang Huichen and Gu Yanlong instigated the arrest. Under such great pressure Ms. Liu Xiuyun passed away in October 2003.

Ms. Su Guiqin, 56 years old, is a practitioner in Bayan Town. On July 22, 1999, she and five other practitioners went to their original practice site to do the exercises. They were arrested and sent to the police station where they were abused and threatened. They were released later that day. In 2000, Ms. Su's husband, Zhang Hongzhu, faxed Falun Gong materials to someone and was subsequently arrested and sent to a local detention center. Police searched their house. After this the police kept harassing Su Guiqin, which caused a heavy burden on her mind and body. She passed away in September 2000.

1. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Jinhua from Qian'an County Was Tortured Until Unable to Walk

On April 25, 2005, Ms. Zhang Jinhua (54 years old) from Rangzi Village, Qian'an County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province was reported to the police, taken to the Qian'an County Public Security Bureau and sentenced to three years forced labor after her home was searched by the police. On June 13, Ms. Zhang Jinhua was sent to the Changchun Heizuizi Labor Camp. On June 17 when her family went to see her, she was carried downstairs on someone else's back. Within only four days, Ms. Zhang Jinhua was tortured until unable to walk.

2. [Qujing City, Yunnan Province] Practitioners Including Ms. Wang Yiping Were Arrested and Their Whereabouts Are Still Unknown

On around July 26, 2005, the National Security Police and the Political Security Police from the Qujing City and the District 610 Office of the Yunnan Province arrested Ms. Wang Yiping (58 years old, retired), and Ms. Rao Xi (over 40 years old, a teacher), Ms. Huang Xilan (36 years old, retired), and Ms. Zhao Meiying (over 60 years old, a retired teacher), and Ms. Dai Yuzhen (57 years old).

The five practitioners' current whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Wei Jiatong, (34 years old) a resident from Zichuan District of Zibo City, Shandong Province, is a graduate from University Works at Zouping County, Binzhou City, Shandong Province. He was once arrested by the Zouping County Public Security Bureau in August 2004, and was fined three thousand yuan for no reason. In June of 2005, the police went to Mr. Wei Jiatong's workplace to ask for the fine and were rejected. In the morning on August 3, he was arrested and was sent to the Sanba Factory of Team 8 of Shandong Province No. 2 Labor Camp and has been tortured there.

4. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Shuyuan Was Arrested and Taken to a Brainwashing Class

Mr. Sun Shuyuan from Zhoucun, Zibo City, Shandong Province was arrested by the Zibo 610 Office from his workplace at 10:30 on August 23, 2005. He has since been jailed at Zibo City Law Education Center and brainwashed.

5. [Shaanxi Province] Mr. He Ping from Linfen, Shaanxi Province Is Being Jailed at Yaodu District Detention Center

At around 9:30am on August 27, 2005, the Political and Security Section of the Lingfen City together with the police searched Mr. He Ping's home. Mr. He Ping is a teacher from the Shaanxi Normal University. Mr. He Ping was arrested to the Political and Security Section and has since been jailed at Yaodu District Detention Center.

6. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Kong Qingling Was Illegally Arrested

Early August 2005, the Xunyang Public Security Bureau, the National Security Bureau and the 610 Office together with the Oil Refinery Factory, arrested Ms. Kong Qingling, Ms. Wang Shuihong, Liu Xiaoci, and Ms. Yang Yi.

At 6:30 pm on August 26, Baishuihu Police Substation, Jiujiang City No. 1 Detention Center and Sanlijie Police Substation searched Ms. Zou Meili, Ms. Xiang Shuirong and Ms. Gao Aihua's home and arrested them.

7. [Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Cheng Is Being Illegally Detained at Suning County Detention Center

Mr. Wang Cheng, 29 years old, is a graduate [in the computer field]. On May 12, 2005, he was arrested. Without producing any documents, his home was searched and two TV sets, a VCD, his bankbook and cash were all confiscated. Currently he is being jailed at Suning County Detention Center of Hebei Province and has since been tortured there.

8. [Guangxi Province] Ms. Huang Ying, A Teacher of the Pingguo Aluminum Products Company Was Illegally Arrested

Ms. Huang Ying (a Nationwide Excellent Teacher) of the Pingguo Aluminum Company of Guangxi Automatic Administration Zone was illegally arrested on December 30, 2004, and has since been jailed.

9. [Hunan Province] Ms. He Yingqing from Hunan Bio-Mechanical Vocational Technical Institute Was Illegally Sentenced to One and A Half Years

On June 29, 2005, Ms He Yingqing, a teacher from Hunan Bio-Mechanical Vocational Technical Institute was again arrested for clarifying the truth and has since been detained at Changsha City Detention Center. In the middle of July, Ms. He Yingqing was illegally sentenced to one and a half years.

Ms. He Yingqing was once jailed at Furong District Brainwashing Class of Changsha City and Baimalong Female Labor Camp for three years.

10. [Chongqing City] Several Falun Gong Practitioners from Guangshun Town of Rongchang County Were Illegally Arrested

On August 21, 2005, Mr. Lai Changrong, Mr. Qin Shanrong and Mr. Wu Dekun from Guangshun Town of Rongchang County, Chongqing City were arrested by the 1st Section of Rongchang County Police Department.

1. Ms. Zhang Shuying, 64, from Guan County, Shandong Province, is Persecuted

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Shuying, 64, is from Guan County, Shandong Province. In 2001, after the persecution against Falun Gong had begun, Zhang was illegally imprisoned in the county prison for more than four months. During that time, the police tried many times to brainwash her, and also confiscated her property. Her family spent 1500 yuan in an effort to attempt to secure her release. The lawless county officials confiscated property and blackmailed her family for almost 4000 yuan. In 2002, Zhang was imprisoned in the county prison for the second time. Two months later, Zhang was sent to the Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp for a year.

2. The Yitong County Construction Bank in Jilin Province is Still Persecuting Practitioner Mr. Wang Jinbo

Mr. Wang Jinbo was formerly a manager in the Yitong County Construction Bank in Jilin Province. This Bank, and its supervising unit, the Siping City Construction Bank, have been persecuting Wang for the past several years because of his steadfast belief in "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance." Wang was sent to detention centers and persecuted until his life was in danger just prior to his release and return home. After Wang physically recovered from the abuse, he went to the Yitong County Construction Bank and asked to resume his work. The bank had terminated Wang's pay and all benefits, and denied his request to resume work without providing him with a clear reason. The Yitong Bank has tried many times to send Wang to a forced labor camp, but has not yet succeeded in doing so.
